3D distance fabrics are modern and promising material for lightweight inflatable structures. The applications are used in sport, boats, tents, construction, military etc. Its advantages are large load capacity per unit weight,stiffness dependent on pressurized air, fail-safe structure. However, the mechanics of inflated fabric panel is not still described enough. This paper gives basic theory and its experimental verification about mechanical behaviour of distance fabrics. The mathematical model of air-inflated distance fabric panel is created based on analytical theory of cylindrical bending of plates. Material data of the fabric required for performing computations of the model are determined from tensile tests. The reliability of the analytical model is experimentally verified. For that purpose the air-inflated fabric panel was made and tested. Results obtained both experimentally and analytically are compared and discussed. The experiment proves the validity of the mathematical model and allows us to predict the behaviour of distance fabrics.

We report the discovery of the third tidally tilted pulsator, TIC 63328020. Observations with the TESS satellite reveal binary eclipses with an orbital period of 1.1057 d, and δ Scuti-type pulsations with a mode frequency of 21.09533 d−1. This pulsation exhibits a septuplet of orbital sidelobes as well as a harmonic quintuplet. Using the oblique pulsator model, the primary oscillation is identified as a sectoral dipole mode with l  = 1, | m | = 1. We find the pulsating star to have |$M_1 \simeq 2.5 \, {\rm M}_\odot$|⁠ , |$R_1 \simeq 3 \, {\rm R}_\odot$|⁠ , and T eff, 1 ≃ 8000 K, while the secondary has |$M_2 \simeq 1.1 \, {\rm M}_\odot$|⁠ , |$R_2 \simeq 2 \, {\rm R}_\odot$|⁠ , and T eff, 2 ≃ 5600 K. Both stars appear to be close to filling their respective Roche lobes. The properties of this binary as well as the tidally tilted pulsations differ from the previous two tidally tilted pulsators, HD74423 and CO Cam, in important ways. We also study the prior history of this system with binary evolution models and conclude that extensive mass transfer has occurred from the current secondary to the primary. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article describes the current situation in the area of electronic warfare. Aircraft protection can be greatly utilised not only in military but also in civilian applications. Active radar signal jamming methods are costly and therefore, aircraft protection using Chaff jamming increases efficiency, application variability and makes aircraft protection affordable. The article describes Chaff and the initial set of measurements designed for measuring aerodynamic pressure around a stationary helicopter model. Wild Eurasian perch populations ( Perca fluviatilis L.) are characterized by annual fluctuations in abundance as a result of environmental and intra-specific interactions. Variations in these interactions may be the source of differences in the characteristics of perch originating from different geographic regions. Perch abundances are higher in northern biotopes than in the south, although climate conditions in the latter would seem to be more conducive to perch growth. Research conducted on the growth of wild Eurasian perch strains from various regions of Europe reared in recirculating aquaculture systems ( RAS) revealed differences among strains in body weight, survival, morphometric parameters, and other biological characteristics such as growth rate and feeding. Knowledge of survival and growth differences among perch strains is necessary as a tool for improvement of perch culture. Grape seed oil is recognized for its high quality bioactive compounds, however, these are sensitive to increased temperatures during manufacture. Technical and economical potential of the pretreatment in combination with the mixture of hydrolyzing enzymes have been analyzed. It was confirmed that the shockwave pretreatment significantly enhances the subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis, which subsequently better liberates the vacuoles rich in oil (without exceeding the temperature limitation). The assessment of oil yields achieved together with the holistic cost analysis indicates that this technology has significant technical potential. The Ríčany pluton represents an elliptical shallow-level intrusion made up of outer, more fractionated, strongly porphyritic granite and inner, less evolved, weakly porphyritic granite. Mesoscopic foliation defines an onion-skin pattern and corresponds well to the magnetic (AMS) foliations. Magnetic lineation plunges shallowly (0-20°) and is subparallel to the contact in the outer part of the pluton, whereas in the pluton center lineation dips steeply (60-70°) with variable trends. We interpret the fabrics in the pluton as being a result of helical flow, whereby faster subvertical flow in the low-viscosity pluton center generated subhorizontal flow in the outer, higher-viscosity (phenocrystrich) margin. The causes of compositional diversity in the Tuolumne Batholith, whether source heterogeneity, magma mixing, or fractional crystallisation, is a matter of longstanding debate. This paper presents data from detailed mapping and a microstructural and major element, trace element and isotopic study of an elongate lobe of the Half Dome granodiorite that protrudes from the southern end of the batholith. The lobe is normally zoned from quartz diorite along the outer margin to high-silica leucogranite in the core. Contacts are steep and gradational, except for the central leucogranite contact, which is locally sharp: magmatic fabrics overprint contacts. A striking feature of the lobe is the 18 wt SiO2 range comparable to that observed for the entire Tuolumne Batholith. Feldspar-compatible elements (Sr and Ba) decrease towards the centre, while Rb increases. Light and middle REEs show a smooth decrease towards the centre of the lobe. Calculated initial isotopic ratios of 87Sr/86Sr(i) and εNd(t) have identical values within error across the lobe, except in the central leucogranite, the most silica rich phase, which shows a slightly more crustal signature. Field, structural, geochemical and isotopic data suggest that fractionation was the dominant process causing compositional variation in this lobe. It is envisioned that this fractionation/crystal sorting occurred in a vertically flowing and evolving magma column with the present map pattern representing a cross-section of this column. Thus the areal extent of the lobe represents a minimum size of interconnected melt at the emplacement level of the Tuolumne Batholith and, given its marginal position, limited width and proximity to colder host rocks, implies that fractionation in larger chambers likely occurred in the main Tuolumne Batholith magma chamber(s).
