In this paper, an analytical and numerical technique are examined in order to analyse the Stokes flow determination problem due to a viscous sphere droplet moving at a concentric instantaneous position inside a spherical interface separating finite and semi-infinite immiscible fluid phases. Here, when only one of the three phases of the fluid (micropolar fluid) has a microstructure, attention is focused on this case. The motion is considered when Reynolds- and capillary-numbers are low, and the droplet surface and the fluid-fluid interface have insignificant deformation. A general solution is obtained in a spherical coordinate system based on a concentric position to analyse the slow axisymmetric movement of the micropolar fluid, considering microrotation and velocity components. Boundary conditions are initially fulfilled at the fluid-fluid interface and subsequently at the droplet surface. The normalised hydrodynamic drag force applying to a moving viscous droplet appears to be a function of the droplet-to-interface radius ratio, which increases monotonically and becomes unbounded when the droplet surface touches the fluid-fluid interface. The numerical outcomes of the normalised drag force acting on the viscous droplet are derived for different values of the parameters, and are presented in a tabular and graphical framework. A comparison was made between our numerical outcomes for the drag force and the pertinent data for the special cases found in the literature.

Background and Aim: Many primary care physicians (PCPs) believed that managing overweight and obesity is essential to their jobs, however, many believe that they were doing it ineffectively, unsatisfying, and had negative attitudes. We conducted this study to explore the knowledge, attitudes and adherence to obesity management guidelines, identify potential barriers that may prevent adherence of PCPs to obesity treatment guidelines. Methods: We conducted this cross-sectional study and conducted a questionnaire sent via email to all PCPs in the Ministry of Interior centers in Riyadh, Al-Kharj, AlQassim, Wadi Ad Dawasir, Hail and Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. Results: A total of 119 PCPs participated in the survey, 61 (51.3%) males and 58 (48.7%) females. All respondents (n = 119, 100%) answered correctly that obesity is a disease. Of PCPs surveyed, genetics accounted for 75.6% of the responses as the cause of obesity. 79.8% believed that the best way for patients with obesity to lose weight was to engage in regular physical activity. The majority of PCPs (87.4%) thought that treating obesity should be a top priority, and 88.2% would typically recommend obesity therapy to their patients. Around 68.9% of PCPs thought that it’s their patients’ responsibility to lose weight. The majority will recommend obesity treatment and 75.6% would talk to their patients about weight concerns, while 60.5% would refer their patients to obesity surgery. There was a positive significant association between higher knowledge and better attitude and better adherence to treatment guidelines. More experienced PCPs were more confident. The most common perceived barrier was the patients’ lack of desire to follow obesity treatment. Conclusion: Primary care clinics and PCPs play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with obesity, according to Ministry of Health guidelines on the prevention and management of obesity. PCPs must not only acknowledge obesity as a chronic illness and the possible long-term consequences it may cause, but also provide comprehensive, multi-component interventions that include lifestyle changes, medication, and appropriate referrals for bariatric surgery when needed. Healthcare professionals must form a cooperative relationship with obese patients to ensure that the patients follow treatment protocols.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is the most crucial antioxidant for the body. The biochemical capabilities of ascorbic acid are still being studied. It acts as a cofactor for many enzymes participating in various physiological functions. This review presents how ascorbic acid is a cofactor for multiple enzymes involved in numerous human activities. Ascorbic acid protects the immune system, reduces allergic reaction severity and assists the fight against infections and other disorders. Ascorbic acid is metabolized by several procedures in the gastrointestinal tract. Eukaryotes produce ascorbic acid via L-galactose (L-Gal) and GDP-D-mannose as part of its metabolic process. It is disseminated throughout the body cells after being readily absorbed by the digestive system. This review will uncover ascorbic acid’s biological functions and metabolism in humans.

Spinal muscular atrophy is a neuromuscular genetic condition associated with progressive muscle weakness and atrophy. Nusinersen is an antisense oligonucleotide therapy approved for the treatment of 5q spinal muscular atrophy in pediatric and adult patients. The objective of this clinical case series is to describe the efficacy and safety of nusinersen in treating spinal muscular atrophy in 20 pediatric and 18 adult patients across six treatment centers in Kuwait. Functional motor assessments (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Infant Test of Neuromuscular Disorders, Hammersmith Functional Motor Scale Expanded, and Revised Upper Limb Module) were used to assess changes in motor function following nusinersen treatment. The safety assessment involved clinical monitoring of adverse events. The results demonstrate clinically meaningful or considerable improvement in motor performance for nearly all patients, lasting over 4 years in some cases. A total of 70% of patients in the pediatric cohort and 72% of patients in the adult cohort achieved a clinically meaningful improvement in motor function following nusinersen treatment. Additionally, nusinersen was well-tolerated in both cohorts. These findings add to the growing body of evidence relating to the clinical efficacy and safety of nusinersen.

This work inspects 3D magnetohydrodynamic hybrid nanofluid flow on a permeable elongating surface. The emphasis of this paper is on the study of hybrid nanofluid flow within a rotating frame, taking into account the simultaneous impact of both thermal and velocity slip boundary conditions. The chosen base fluid is water, and the hybrid nanofluid comprises two nanoparticles Cu\text{Cu} and Al2O3{\text{Al}}_{2}{\text{O}}_{3}. The effect of the magnetic and porosity parameters is taken into account in the momentum equation. The thermal radiation, Joule heating, and heat source are considered in the energy equation. Using a similarity system, we transform the PDEs of the proposed model into ODEs, which are then solved numerically by the bvp4c technique. The magnetic field shows a dual nature on primary and secondary velocities. Enrich magnetic field decreases the primary velocity and enhances the secondary velocity. The rotation parameter has an inverse relation with both velocities. The temperature profile amplified with the escalation in heat source, magnetic field, rotation factor, and Eckert numbers. The skin friction is boosted with magnetic parameters while the Nusselt number drops.

In this paper, we investigated $ n $-dimensional fractional hybrid differential equations (FHDEs) with nonlinear boundary conditions in a nonlinear coupled system. For this purpose, we used Dhage's fixed point theory, and applied the Krasnoselskii-type coupled fixed point theorem to construct existence conditions of the solution of the FHDEs. To illustrated this idea, suitable examples are presented in $ 3 $-dimensional space at the end of the paper.

The Sub-tropical forests of Pinus roxburghii (chir pine) provide various ecosystem services and act as watershed for low lying regions. However, this species is prone to human induced fire primarily due to local communities' dependence for various resources exacerbated by the current dry conditions. The impact of fire across various vegetation layers and developmental stages has not been thoroughly studied. Bearing to this, the present study was conducted using composite burn index to assess the severity on various layers of vegetation and their long-term impact through a chronological approach. The impact of fire on 40 representative circular plots with a radius of 30 m, categorized into five forest strata: large and intermediate trees, seedlings/saplings, pole stage, shrubs, and soil were investigated and compared across four different time interval: unburnt (B0), burnt two years ago (B2), burnt five years ago (B5), and burnt 15 years ago (B15). The results were statistically proved using Kruskal–Wallis followed by Dunn's Post Hoc and Friedman test with the Holm correction in R Language. The study revealed significant variations in the average burn severity for each treatment, with shrubs having the highest average score of burn severity (average = 1.4) and soil showing the lowest (average = 0.408). The results of the Friedman test indicated non-uniform distribution of burn severity across different ecological treatments. This study is contributing significant insights into the effects of forest fires and their severity on different vegetation layers, which can be instrumental in devising and executing successful restoration strategies.

Minerals are essential to our diet. They affect nerve and muscle function, build materials for our bones, and regulate the body's water balance. The bioaccessibility and bioavailability of cereal minerals depend upon various aspects, such as plant cell wall configuration, storage chemical form of a mineral, plant tissue localization, and processing conditions. Fortification of minerals is done through classical methods and agro-biotechnological techniques to combat micronutrient deficiencies and improve bioavailability. The recent innovative approaches (chelation and encapsulation) overwhelm issues associated with classical fortification methods, specifically those influencing bioavailability and organoleptic properties. Food processing techniques, such as fermenting, soaking, cooking, and germination, significantly improved mineral bioavailability by reducing phytic acid and other antinutritional factors. Minerals, particularly micro-ones, are lost irreversibly during food processing, and their losses can be reduced by changing the processing strategies. The current review explores minerals in cereals, their bioaccessibility, bioavailability, fortification strategies, the impact of food processing on bioavailability, and their therapeutic potential.

The sodium alginate (SA)-based nanofluid flow comprising alumina nanoparticles on a bi-directional extending sheet has many applications, which include thermal management, automotive radiators, industrial heat exchangers, conductive coatings, flexible electronics, electromagnetic shielding, solar panels, etc. A numerical study based on the SA-based nanofluid flow containing alumina nanoparticles over a bi-directional extending sheet in the presence of variable Darcy porous media has not yet been examined. Therefore, this study focuses on numerically investigating the flow behavior of a nanofluid of SA containing nanoparticles of alumina (Al2O3) over a bi-directional extending sheet. The variable Darcy porous media, magnetic field, thermal radiation, and thermal-dependent and space-dependent heat sources are applied to examine heat transfer flow. The velocity and thermal slip conditions have been used in the present model. The model is first shown as partial differential equations and is then converted to ordinary differential equations (ODEs). A numerical technique called bvp4c MATLAB function is applied to solve the modeled ODEs. The model is validated with previously published results. From the obtained results, it is found that high magnetic factor increases the thermal distribution, skin frictions, and heat transfer rate and reduces the velocity profiles along both directions. The Casson factor reduces the skin friction, heat transfer rate, and velocity profiles along both directions while increasing the thermal distribution. High velocities and temperature distributions of a SA-based nanofluid flow containing alumina nanoparticles are found for the scenario of no-slip condition when matched to the slip condition. It is concluded from the observed results that the percentage increase is higher for the no-slip conditions compared to the slip conditions.

Introduction: The COVID-19 infection as an inflammatory disease has posed significant challenges to global public health due to multi-factor risks associated with it leading to disease severity and mortality. Understanding the effect of age and comorbidities on overall disease progression is crucial to identify highly susceptible individuals and to develop effective disease management strategies in a resource limited country like Pakistan. Methodology: A retrospective study was conducted on hospitalized COVID-19 patients to assess the prevalence of various comorbidities among different age groups and their effect on disease severity and mortality rate. Results: In this retrospective study, a cohort of 618 hospitalized COVID-19 patients was analyzed, consisting of 387 males (62.6 %) and 231 females (37.4 %). Notably, the young age group (15–24 years), had the lowest frequency of hospitalized COVID-19 patients, while no case was observed in children (≤14 years) showing a significant association (p

This research demonstrates that hybrid nanofluids are superior to traditional fluids in terms of their capacity to transmit heat. An intensive investigation of hybrid nanofluids is needed to fill gaps in knowledge of heat transmission improvement methods. Therefore, scientists and researchers are combining different solid particles in various base fluids to boost the material's thermal conductivity. That's why the author has combined diamond and copper nanoparticles in a water solvent to examine the two-dimensional, steady, and incompressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) hybrid micropolar nanofluid flow over a permeable extending surface through the porous media. The Cattaneo-Christov heat and mass flux model is used to assess the heat and mass diffusion occurrences in temperature and concentration distributions. The similarity transformations are used to convert the PDEs along with their related boundary constraints into a set of nonlinear ODEs. A semi-analytical method known as HAM is used with the help of MATHEMATICA software to perform an analytical analysis on the set of nonlinear ODEs. The impacts of many important factors on the velocity, microrotation, thermal, and concentration functions are demonstrated through graphs and discussed in detail. The study results demonstrate that velocity distribution is a declining function of the magnetic field and porosity parameter. The magnetic field, Brownian motion, heat source, thermophoresis, and radiation parameters have positively influenced the thermal profile, while the thermal relaxation parameter has a negative influence on it. Nanoparticle volume fraction improves the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers. Heat transfer and skin friction are both amplified by the magnetic field. The skin-friction coefficient improves with an increase in the permeability parameter and the volume percentage of nanoparticles. Also, nanoparticles volume fraction enhances the mass transfer rate. Hybrid nanofluids have superior thermal characteristics over regular fluids.

The challenging task of insulator monitoring through aerial images is addressed in high voltage transmission network and highlights the limitations of traditional human patrolling with emphasize on utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs utilizing machine learning algorithms. This research has been accomplished by creating indigenous dataset of 500kV transmission network of National Transmission and Despatch Center Limited (NTDCL). 608 original images were captured in diverse lighting and topographical conditions which were then augmented to 3618 images. To improve the detection accuracy of YOLOv8s algorithm in aerial images, HSV and CLAHE image enhancement techniques were employed to improve the visual feature of insulator with suppressed noise. YOLOv8s algorithm with image enhancement has improved detection accuracy from 88% to 95% demonstrating the effectiveness of integrating image enhancement technique for insulator monitoring, offering promising improvement in maintenance practices and operational reliability of transmission lines.

Flashed over insulator faults are the most significant faults in high voltage line insulators. They are complicated to identify using traditional methods due to their labor-intensive nature. This study proposes a deep learning-based algorithm for detecting flashed over insulator faults in the real time. The algorithm is based on the Resnet 50 architecture, which has been shown to be effective for image classification tasks in the previous studies regarding image analysis. The algorithm is fast, robust and efficient, making it suitable for real-time applications. The algorithm is trained on a dataset of images of flashed over and non-flashed over insulators. This dataset was collected from various transmission lines and National Center of Robotics and Automation, which are located in Pakistan. For validating the effectiveness of the Resnet 50 algorithm, it was compared with the results obtained from the two other widely popular deep learning algorithms, Densenet 121 and VGG 16 (trained and validated on the same dataset). The results showed that the Resnet 50 was able to detect flashed over insulator faults with an accuracy of over 99%. Whereas the Densenet 121 and VGG 16 have achieved an accuracy of less than 51%.

Abstract The use of food products and functional foods to manage and treat several health conditions is expanding globally. Garlic (Allium sativum) consumption is commonly used for its potential therapeutic functions in numerous cardiometabolic disorders, including hypertension. The proposed blood pressure–reducing effects of garlic after its consumption influence several metabolic pathways, resulting in potentially beneficial health outcomes. The first postulated mechanism is nitric oxide (NO) activation, leading to vasodilation. Furthermore, garlic consumption was also shown to promote vasodilation by suppressing the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system (RAAS) and the formation of prostaglandins, suppressing angiotensin‐converting enzyme activity. The mechanism of garlic‐related vasodilation is related to its high sulfur‐containing content associated with forming hydrogen sulfides (H2S). The H2S binds to and activates vascular ATP‐sensitive potassium channels (kATP), leading to hyperpolarization, which induces vasodilation. This review summarizes garlic's features and the mechanical paths that could contribute to blood pressure control.

Abstract Background Resistance against artemisinin-based combination therapy is one of the challenges to malaria control and elimination globally. Mutations in different genes (Pfdhfr, Pfdhps, Pfk-13 and Pfmdr1) confer resistance to artesunate and sulfadoxine–pyrimethamine (AS + SP) were analysed from Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh, to assess the effectiveness of the current treatment regimen against uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum. Methods Dried blood spots were collected during the active fever survey and mass screening and treatment activities as part of the Malaria Elimination Demonstration Project (MEDP) from 2019 to 2020. Isolated DNA samples were used to amplify the Pfdhfr, Pfdhps, Pfk13 and Pfmdr1 genes using nested PCR and sequenced for mutation analysis using the Sanger sequencing method. Results A total of 393 samples were subjected to PCR amplification, sequencing and sequence analysis; 199, 215, 235, and 141 samples were successfully sequenced for Pfdhfr, Pfdhps, Pfk13, Pfmdr1, respectively. Analysis revealed that the 53.3% double mutation (C59R, S108N) in Pfdhfr, 89.3% single mutation (G437A) in Pfdhps, 13.5% single mutants (N86Y), and 51.1% synonymous mutations in Pfmdr1 in the study area. Five different non-synonymous and two synonymous point mutations found in Pfk13, which were not associated to artemisinin resistance. Conclusion The study has found that mutations linked to SP resistance are increasing in frequency, which may reduce the effectiveness of this drug as a future partner in artemisinin-based combinations. No evidence of mutations linked to artemisinin resistance in Pfk13 was found, suggesting that parasites are sensitive to artemisinin derivatives in the study area. These findings are a baseline for routine molecular surveillance to proactively identify the emergence and spread of artemisinin-resistant parasites.

The technological revolution has transformed the area of labor with reference to automation and robotization in various domains. The employment of robots automates these disciplines, rendering beneficial impacts as robots are cost-effective, reliable, accurate, productive, flexible, and safe. Usually, single robots are deployed to accomplish specific tasks. The purpose of this study is to focus on the next step in robot research, collaborative multi-robot systems, through flocking control in particular, improving their self-adaptive and self-learning abilities. This review is conducted to gain extensive knowledge related to swarming, or cluster flocking. The evolution of flocking laws from inception is delineated, swarming/cluster flocking is conceptualized, and the flocking phenomenon in multi-robots is evaluated. The taxonomy of flocking control based on different schemes, structures, and strategies is presented. Flocking control based on traditional and trending approaches, as well as hybrid control paradigms, is observed to elevate the robustness and performance of multi-robot systems for collective motion. Opportunities for deploying robots with flocking control in various domains are also discussed. Some challenges are also explored, requiring future considerations. Finally, the flocking problem is defined and an abstraction of flocking control-based multiple UAVs is presented by leveraging the potentials of various methods. The significance of this review is to inspire academics and practitioners to adopt multi-robot systems with flocking control for swiftly performing tasks and saving energy.

Plagiarism is found to be the most common form of misconduct among researchers across the globe. It is particularly affecting the biomedical sciences communities engaged in writing and reporting research. Unfortunately many young writers are not aware of the various types of plagiarism they might unintentionally indulge in 1 . Even in some cases, the writers do not consider plagiarism as a serious issue. Plagiarism can range from simple dishonesty in reporting parts of other’s work without proper attribution to a more serious issue such as duplicate publication. With the emergence of new technologies and search engines it has become easier to copy and paste from innumerable sources and yet not citing the exact source. As one can accumulate information in a fraction of time, but quite often the creative skills and ability to write one‘s own original thoughts do not match the required level of output. Irrespective of position and ranks, this situation is in existence at all levels of education and research, In the current situation of knowledge explosion, we are also witnessing an increasing trend in the duplication, falsification and unverifiable data presentation in student reports, theses and even journal articles written by researchers. It is very important for the younger generation of medical students to follow ethical guidelines while writing any scientific publications2 . Senior researchers and experienced writer are duty bound to explain basic reasons why plagiarism warrants a punitive action.

Cancer is a severe disease that results in death in all countries of the world. A nano-based drug delivery approach is the best alternative, directly targeting cancer tumor cells with improved drug cellular uptake. Different types of nanoparticle-based drug carriers are advanced for the treatment of cancer, and to increase the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of cancer therapy, many substances have been looked into as drug carriers. Lipid-based nanoparticles (LBNPs) have significantly attracted interest recently. These natural biomolecules that alternate to other polymers are frequently recycled in medicine due to their amphipathic properties. Lipid nanoparticles typically provide a variety of benefits, including biocompatibility and biodegradability. This review covers different classes of LBNPs, including their characterization and different synthesis technologies. This review discusses the most significant advancements in lipid nanoparticle technology and their use in medicine administration. Moreover, the review also emphasized the applications of lipid nanoparticles that are used in different cancer treatment types.

The rapid depletion of fossil fuels, increased electricity consumption, and global environmental concerns have led to shift electricity generation from non-renewable to renewable energy sources. Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology is increasing with significant land requirement. To conserve this valuable land and water evaporation, PV panels are being installed on water bodies such as irrigation canals, lakes and dams. Researchers have found that hybrid power generation systems are more efficient than single power generating system, thus by covering canals with solar panels and harnessing the kinetic energy of flowing water using hydrokinetic turbines (HKT), a massive amount of electricity can be generated. The Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software is used in this study to stimulate and acquire the best results and configuration for a hybrid PV/hydrokinetic system in district Sanghar of Sindh province in Pakistan. Model is designed by covering the 1 km canal surface with PV and the hydrokinetic turbines along with it. The overall potential for 1 km length of canal for both PV/hydrokinetic turbine system is found around 2.8 MW with payback period in 5.7 years and by saving 324.58 million cubic meters of water in terms of evaporation with annual saving in GHG emissions of 416,451.74 kg/yr.

ABSTRACTIn this review, different extraction techniques of bioactive protein gluten from wheat and their association in the pathogenesis of celiac disease have been updated. Wheat gluten is an important constituent of whole-grain wheat. It comprises two subunits named as alpha-subunit and beta-subunit. Due to its importance in nutritional and pharmaceutical biochemistry, it gains much attention in molecular biology. This study compares different techniques used for isolation, purification, and identification of gluten protein from wheat. Different conventional approaches had been used to characterize gluten, but due to certain limitations and risk assessment, recent and advanced techniques have taken their place. Moreover, gluten seeks its intention as it may cause different allergic responses e.g., gluten intolerance and celiac disease in humans due to absence or low level of enzymes required for is proper digestion. Certain treatments based on different modification techniques cure these allergic reactions. These modifications include genetic modifications and generation of different immune responses in body to combat these diseases. Intestinal permeability and cytokine-based modifications in T-cells are essential to become resistant against gluten intolerance and celiac disease. However, vaccine development is on the way to treat patients suffering from these diseases. In conclusion, being a vital part of an important staple food, gluten characterization and disease treatment is a significant step. It will help in improving quality of wheat gluten and patients to fight against certain health disorders.

The presented study estimated the aboveground biomass (AGB) of Pinus roxburghii (chir pine) natural forests and plantations, and created biomass maps using a relationship (regression model) between AGB and Sentinel-2 spectral indices. The mean AGB and BGB (belowground biomass) of natural forests were 79.54 Mg.ha-1 and 20.68 Mg.ha-1, respectively, whereas the mean AGB and BGB of plantations were 94.48 Mg.ha-1 and 24.56 Mg.ha-1, respectively. Correlation showed that mean diameter at breast height (DBH) and mean height have weak relationships with AGB, and BGB has shown correlation coefficients (R2 = 0.46) and (R2 = 0.56) for polynomial models. Regression models between AGB (Mg.ha-1) of Pinus roxburghii natural forest and Sentinel-2 spectral indices showed a strong relationship with Ratio Vegetation Index (RVI) with R2 = 0.72 followed by Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Atmospherically Resistant Vegetation Index (ARVI) with R2 = 0.70. In contrast, the lower performance of spectral indices has been shown in regression with plantation AGB. Correlation coefficients (R2) were 0.41, 0.41, and 0.40 for RVI, NDVI, and ARVI, respectively. All indices showed that the distribution of AGB data was not the best fit with the linear regression model. Therefore, non-linear exponential and power models were considered the best fit for NDVI, RVI, and ARVI. A biomass map was developed from RVI for both natural forests and plantation because RVI has the highest R2 and lowest P-value.

Owing to the rapidly increasing performance of ternary semiconductors; Aluminium Gallium Arsenide (Al1-xGaxAs; x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75) has been studied by first-principles calculations in Cambridge Serial Total Energy Package (CASTEP-Code). Density functional theory in the frame of full potential linear augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) is used. The structural, electronic, and optical behavior of the Zinc Blend (ZB) structure of AlAs with Ga impurity was computed by using generalized gradient approximation (GGA) as exchange potential and Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE) as functional. Changes in lattice parameters (a), bulk modulus (66.07–76.85), hardness (5.79–8.91) and machinability (1.36–1.46), band gap energy (Eg), and optical properties are computed and discussed in this work. Lattice parameters and elastic constants showed excellent agreement with the reported data whereas some properties were found to excel much more than the theoretical reports. Remarkable bandgap reduction from 1.7eV to 0.28eV is very encouraging in its low-energy applications in UV and visible ranges. Real (Re) and Imaginary (Img) parts of the dielectric function and refractive index shifts towards lower energy values show good agreement with those of theoretical and experimental works. We contribute to the knowledge and characterization of Al1-xGaxAs facilitating its integration into various technological advancements such as photovoltaic, laser, diodes, and high-frequency transistors.

This unique study examined the theoretical pure BaTiO3 and doped Ra (Ba1-xRaxTiO3) impact on electronic, mechanical and optical responses were using Heydscuseria-Ernzerhof screened hybrid functional (HSE06) and generalized gradient approximation (GGA-PBE) with norm-converging pseudopotential approaches in the density functional theory. Computed the lattice constant and bond lengths for pure (BaTiO3) and doped atoms as well as explored the changes of consequences of electronic, mechanical and optical responses. The calculated values indicate the BaTiO3 is an indirect characteristic and an optically inactive nature. The low energy state and also conduction band of the crystal structure to transform to the direction of low energy and narrows the electronic band gap. The bandgap of pure BaTiO3 is continually reduced which shifts the Fermi energy level Eg. When increasing the doping impurities (x) of (Ra) in BaTiO3, the band gap shifts from indirect (X-G) to direct (X-X) nature and become optically active. The elastic and mechanical responses are essential for suitable (Ra) doped material ensuring structural integrity and predicting a ductile behavior. Kleinman coefficient (ξ), it is clear that (Ra)-doped materials shows slightly large resistance to bond bending and bond angle distortion as compare to pure BaTiO3. Optical characteristics of the both pure and doped (Ra) materials in the core level spectra are thoroughly investigated. Optical coefficients are obtained in the energy scale start from 0 to 20 eV. Moreover, the results of optical properties show excellent influence of doping so that this material can be employed as UV filter in the UV region and in optoelectronics devices.
