Automatic harvesting robots are crucial for enhancing agricultural productivity, and precise fruit maturity detection is a fundamental and core technology for efficient and accurate harvesting. Strawberries are distributed irregularly, and their images contain a wealth of characteristic information. This characteristic information includes both simple and intuitive features, as well as deeper abstract meanings. These complex features pose significant challenges to robots in determining fruit ripeness. To increase the precision, accuracy, and efficiency of robotic fruit maturity detection methods, a strawberry maturity detection algorithm based on an improved CES-YOLOv8 network structure from YOLOv8 was developed in this study. Initially, to reflect the characteristics of actual planting environments, the study collected image data under various lighting conditions, degrees of occlusion, and angles during the data collection phase. Subsequently, parts of the C2f module in the YOLOv8 model's backbone were replaced with the ConvNeXt V2 module to enhance the capture of features in strawberries of varying ripeness, and the ECA attention mechanism was introduced to further improve feature representation capability. Finally, the angle compensation and distance compensation of the SIoU loss function were employed to enhance the IoU, enabling the rapid localization of the model's prediction boxes. The experimental results show that the improved CES-YOLOv8 model achieves an accuracy, recall rate, mAP50, and F1 score of 88.20%, 89.80%, 92.10%, and 88.99%, respectively, in complex environments, indicating improvements of 4.8%, 2.9%, 2.05%, and 3.88%, respectively, over those of the original YOLOv8 network. This algorithm provides technical support for automated harvesting robots to achieve efficient and precise automated harvesting. Objective. More than one-half of pregnant women experience pregnancy-related low back pain (LBP). Pregnancy-related LBP greatly affects activities of daily life, and although many interventions have been proposed, the optimal treatment for pregnancy-related LBP remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to compare conservative care strategies on their efficacy and safety for women with pregnancy-related LBP through systematic review with pairwise meta-analysis and network meta-analysis. Methods. MEDLINE, Embase, the Cochrane Library, AMED, CINAHL, PEDro, PsycINFO, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched from inception to November 2019. Randomized controlled trials and observational controlled studies were included without restriction to language, sample size, or duration of follow-up. Two independent investigators extracted the data and assessed the risk of bias. The quality of evidence was evaluated through Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Results. Twenty-three studies were included in the qualitative synthesis (18 randomized controlled trials were included in the network meta-analysis). For women with LBP during pregnancy, progressive muscle relaxation therapy (mean difference = -3.96; 95% CI = -7 . 1 9 t o -0.74; moderate-quality evidence) and Kinesio Taping (mean difference = -3.71; 95% CI = -6.55 to -0.87; low-quality evidence) reduced pain intensity (Visual Analog Scale, range = 0 to 10) compared with placebo. Moderate-quality evidence suggested that transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation improved physical function (mean difference = -6.33; 95% CI = -10.61 to -2.05; Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire, range = 0-24) compared with placebo. Conclusion. For patients with LBP during pregnancy, progressive muscle relaxation therapy and Kinesio Taping may help to decrease pain, and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation may improve physical function. Impact. This review helps fill the gap in evidence regarding optimal treatment for pregnancy-related LBP. Lay Summary. Nonheading Chinese cabbage is an important leafy vegetable, and quantitative identification and automated analysis of nonheading Chinese cabbage leaves are crucial for cultivating new varieties with higher quality, yield, and resistance. Traditional leaf phenotypic analysis relies mainly on phenotypic observation and the practical experience of breeders, leading to issues such as time consumption, labor intensity, and low precision, which result in low breeding efficiency. Considering these issues, a method for the extraction and analysis of phenotypes of nonheading Chinese cabbage leaves is proposed, targeting four qualitative traits and ten quantitative traits from 1500 samples, by integrating deep learning and OpenCV image processing technology. First, a leaf classification model is trained using YOLOv8 to infer the qualitative traits of the leaves, followed by the extraction and calculation of the quantitative traits of the leaves using OpenCV image processing technology. The results indicate that the model achieved an average accuracy of 95.25%, an average precision of 96.09%, an average recall rate of 96.31%, and an average F1 score of 0.9620 for the four qualitative traits. From the ten quantitative traits, the OpenCV-calculated values for the whole leaf length, leaf width, and total leaf area were compared with manually measured values, showing RMSEs of 0.19 cm, 0.1762 cm, and 0.2161 cm
2 , respectively. Bland–Altman analysis indicated that the error values were all within the 95% confidence intervals, and the average detection time per image was 269 ms. This method achieved good results in the extraction of phenotypic traits from nonheading Chinese cabbage leaves, significantly reducing the personpower and time costs associated with genetic resource analysis. In intelligent process monitoring and fault detection of the modern process industry, conventional methods mostly consider singular characteristics of systems. To tackle the problem of suboptimal incipient fault detection in nonlinear dynamic systems with non-Gaussian distributed data, this paper proposes a methodology named Gap-Mixed Kernel-Dynamic Canonical Correlation Analysis. Initially, the Gap metric is employed for data preprocessing, followed by fault detection utilizing the Mixed Kernel-Dynamic Canonical Correlation Analysis. Ultimately, fault identification is conducted through a contribution method based on the T 2 statistic. Furthermore, a comparative analysis was conducted using Canonical Variate Analysis, Dynamic Canonical Correlation Analysis, and Mixed Kernel-Dynamic Canonical Correlation Analysis on the Tennessee Eastman process. Experimental results indicate varying degrees of improvements in the detection rate, false alarm rate, missed detection rate, and detection time compared to the comparative methods, demonstrating the industrial value and academic significance of the method. Incipient fault diagnosis is particularly important in process industrial systems, as its early detection helps to prevent major accidents. Against this background, this study proposes a combined method of mixed kernel principal components analysis and dynamic canonical correlation analysis (MK-DCCA). The robust generalization performance of this approach is demonstrated through experimental validation on a randomly generated dataset. Furthermore, comparative experiments were conducted on a CSTR Simulink model, comparing the MK-DCCA method with DCCA and DCVA methods, demonstrating its excellent detection performance for incipient faults in nonlinear and dynamic systems. Meanwhile, fault identification experiments were conducted, validating the high accuracy of the fault identification method based on contribution. Background: Monoamine oxidase A (MAOA) is a mitochondrial enzyme that is involved in prostate tumorigenesis and cancer metastasis. The predictive power of the preoperative clinical and pathological indicators for prostate cancer(PC) remains to be improved. To enrich evidence regarding the value of MAOA as a prognostic biomarker in clinical practice, this study explored the significance of MAOA expression as a prognostic marker for patients with PC after radical prostatectomy-pelvic lymph node dissection (RP-PLND). Methods: MAOA expression was analyzed in 50 benign prostate tissues and 115 low-intermediate risk and 163 high-risk PC tissues using tissue immunohistochemistry (IHC). Propensity score matching, survival analysis and COX regression analysis were conducted to investigate the correlation between high MAOA expression and progression free survival (PFS) in PC patients. Results: MAOA expression was increased in PC patients, especially in those with high risk PC and pathological lymph node (pLN) metastasis. High MAOA expression was significantly associated with PSA recurrence for both low-intermediate risk PC patients (log-rank test: P = 0.02) and high risk PC patients (log-rank test: P = 0.03). Cox regression analysis revealed that high MAOA expression was an adverse prognostic factor for both low-intermediate risk PC patients (hazard ratio [HR] 2.74, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.26–5.92; P = 0.011) and high risk PC patients (HR 1.73, 95% CI 1.11–2.71; P = 0.016). High MAOA expression was also significantly associated with PSA recurrence in high risk PC patients developed into castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and were receiving abiraterone therapy (log-rank: P = 0.01). Conclusions: MAOA expression correlates with the malignant progression of PC. High MAOA expression may be a poor prognostic marker for patients with PC after RP-PLND. More careful follow up or potential of adjuvant hormonal therapy may be addressed for patients with high MAOA expression. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
