Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of lyophilized recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide on the endothelial function of patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods: One hundred and thirty-six patients with acute myocardial infarction in our hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group (68 cases each). The patients in the control group were treated by conventional treatment. The patients in the experimental group were treated with lyophilized recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide besides the conventional treatment. The levels of flow-mediated dilatation (FMD), serum nitric oxide (NO), and endothelin-1 were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the level of FMD (P>0.05); after treatment, the level of FMD in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the levels of serum NO and endothelin-1 (P>0.05); after treatment, the levels of serum NO and endothelin-1 in the experimental group significantly improved, which were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Lyophilized recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide can improve the FMD, increase the content of NO in the blood, and effectively reduce the level of endothelin-1, which is of great significance to improve the endothelial function of patients with acute myocardial infarction and is worth clinical application. Fucoxanthin (Fx) possesses multiple bioactivities such as antitumor, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, but its application is limited due to the poor water solubility, low bioavailability, and instability to some external harsh conditions. In this study, a stable inclusion complex of Fx and 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (2-HP-β-CD) was prepared with the aid of ultrasound, which was characterized by scanning electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and differential scanning calorimetry techniques. The phase solubility analysis and absorption spectroscopy results showed that Fx formed stoichiometry 1:2 inclusion complex with 2-HP-β-CD, and this could be well proved by molecular simulation. Structural analyses and molecular docking study indicated that Fx was successfully encapsulated into the cavity of 2-HP-β-CD, promoting it soluble in water and stable against heat, storage and gastrointestinal environments. In addition, Fx/2-HP-β-CD inclusion complex exhibited excellent antitumor activity against HCT116 and Caco-2 cell lines with IC50 values of 12.0 μΜ and 14.86 μΜ, respectively. Therefore, it could be a potentially promising way to promote the application of Fx in pharmaceuticals and functional foods by HP-β-CD encapsulation strategy.

This study aimed to determine the correlation between amino acid profiling of a 3-day-old embryo culture medium and embryo implantation potential in women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). The data of 98 patients who received IVF treatment in our hospital from December 2015 to February 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The 98 patients were grouped into a pregnant group (gemellary pregnancy), a non-pregnant group (non-pregnancy), and a blank control group. The amino acids from a 3-day-old embryo culture medium and blank control medium were collected and were analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The HPLC results showed that amino acids including aspartate (ASP), serine (SER), glycine (GLY), histidine (HIS), taurine (TAU), arginine (ARG), threonine (THR), alanine (ALA), and proline (PRO) were detected in the 3-day-old embryo culture medium and blank control medium. There are significant differences between the pregnant group and non-pregnant group in peak height (H)-SER, surface area (S)-ASP, S-SER, S-HIS, and S-ALA. The discrimination analysis according to the peak height and peak area of amino acids revealed that the prediction rate of the pregnant group, non-pregnant group, and blank control group were 82.7, 95.7, and 100%. Further, by using the principal component analysis, we found that the prediction rate in these three groups were 90.4, 91.3, and 100%. Our data may suggest that using amino acid concentrations for principal component analysis and discriminant analysis has high accuracy in predicting the relationship between amino acid fingerprint and embryo implantation potential.
