As the communication technology is thriving day by day, the number of satellites are shooting up in a faster rate. The use of smaller satellites for Education, Scientific and Commercial purposes are usually positioned in LEO Low Earth Orbit flights and typically their short periods of crossing across the Line Of Sight of an Earth Station brings the need of finding ways of expanding the communication between ground and space segments. This paper elucidates the aspects related to the design and implementation of a Ground station using a directional antenna for tracking satellites which utilizes UHF band for payload transmission. First the design parameters are enumerated using Yagi Calculator Software. For verification feasibility an Electro magnetic model of an antenna is developed using ANSYS HFSS software. The procured results demonstrate some important paramount aspects of the antenna model. Ambulance service is one of the crucial services that should not get delay. To overcome this situation this paper describes a solution that “ embedding Intelligent system on Ambulance and Traffic monitoring ” which includes alerting and tracking mechanism with traffic light regulating such that the ambulance can achieve a free way as fast as possible. An algorithm is used to control the traffic signals automatically based on the key pressed by the driver from keyboard in the ambulance. The information reading the current as well as future location of ambulance is sent from the ambulance itself. This information is used to optimally control the traffic. The performance of the embedding intelligent system on Ambulance and Traffic monitoring is compared with the Fixed Mode Traffic Light Controller. It is observed that the proposed model is more efficient than the conventional controller in respect of less waiting time, more distance traveled by average vehicles and efficient operation during emergency mode and GSM interface. In todays era, mobile phones have become a basic part of our day to day lives and their phone side to excessive use of mobile phones leads to early drainage of mobile phones batteries which have been a great issue. The mobile talk time and battery stand by varies in every mobile phone and it depends upon its battery manufacturer. This proposes mid to facilitate the recharging of mobile batteries easily to the extent that the phone battery will get recharge wireless via cellular communication. This means that whenever the user is on call, the phone will charge automatically. This technology is an application of RF energy harvesting. Since the availability of RF energy in our surroundings is abundant. In earlier times too, it was a belief that wireless charging replaces wires and cables like how Bluetooth and Wi Fi have modernized personal communication. The prevailing methods of wireless charging highly depend upon the concept of inductive and resonance coupling using the electromagnetic field that transfers energy from the transmitter to the receiver. The main focus of this proposed solution is to design a system that recharges the mobile phone batteries via cellular communication and independent of their battery manufacturer and type of cables and wires used for a particular USB port. This entire process is done by the employment of microwaves and RF energy harvesting in an eco friendly way. The microwave signal is transmitted from the high power microwave generator Magnetor which acts as a transmitter with the help of a slotted waveguide antenna and transmits the power along with the message signal at a frequency up to 2.45GHz. With this advancement, there is some minimal addition to the hardware design of the mobile handset. The springler irrigation method was used in Australia. These two irrigation system are now commonly used in India. Spectrum sensing is the main feature of cognitive radio technology. Spectrum sensing gives an idea of detecting the presence of the primary users in a licensed spectrum. The sensing of radio spectrum is an essential problem in cognitive radio CR networks, where secondary users SUs need to detect the presence of primary users PUs before they use the spectrum allocated to PUs. The detection of primary user status and the spectrum sensing are the major issues in cognitive radio systems. We employ one of the simplest and most efficient Spectrum Sensing technique, the cooperative spectrum sensing with three different digital modulation techniques BPSK, QPSK, 16 QAM. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the cooperative spectrum sensing technique with BPSK, QPSK, 16 QAM modulation techniques over Rayleigh fading Channel. To establish a secure transmission, we require a security scheme like a cryptographic algorithm, but this also requires a secure key distribution between nodes. The WSN’s have constraints like limited area, power and memory which restrict all the categories of cryptographic algorithm. Depending upon the criteria’s and constraints, cryptographic algorithm like Elliptic Curve Cryptography ECC is best suitable for WSN’s environment. ECC has a smaller key size, high security and less computation time which makes the node an efficient crypto system. In order to protect the security of data, we propose a novel secure transmission strategy based on Cryptography. In this design, we acquire sensitive information securely so as to make use of the advantage of encryption. Our approach deal with the weakness of limitation in sensor node resources and the security threats, it is suitable for stream data in sensor nodes. The simulation experiments also demonstrate that this approach is effective in transmitting sensitive data covertly with the characteristics of lower energy consumptions and invisibility. Traditional microwave communication systems can no longer support high bandwidth demand. Telecommunications companies in the country are therefore investing huge sums of money in laying underground fiber cables for their backbone network. The challenges these companies face in laying optical fiber cables include inaccessibility in the 4 major cities. These cities have already developed infrastructure i.e. buildings and roads . Therefore digging and laying cables are very difficult if not impossible in some suburbs. In such areas, the companies are forced to depend on microwave links. Again, due to lack of already developed network infrastructure design in the country, underground fiber cables are destroyed during road constructions. An alternative to fiber cables in inaccessible areas could be the use of FSO installation. FSO can be used to provide backup links in the event of fiber cable destruction or as a backbone network. Free Space Optical FSO communication is the transmission of optical signals through the atmosphere. To the best of our knowledge, evaluation of FSO performance in the country has not been investigated to determine its feasibility. This paper seeks to investigate whether FSO communication implementation is feasible in Srinagar. However, turbulent atmospheric conditions have impacts on its performance and therefore hampered its wide spread deployment. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of FSO in Srinagar. Atmospheric attenuation is estimated based on the atmospheric visibility data. Our results show atmospheric specific attenuation as high as 27.17dB km in the 1550nm window, 29.315dB km in 1300nm window and 35.20dB km in the 850nm window. The probability of encountering different atmospheric attenuation conditions is estimated. Fading loss due to scintillation is investigated using the lognormal statistical model. It is shown that the margin to compensate for losses due to scintillation depends on the power scintillation index and the allowable system outage probability. Brain Computer Interface BCI aims at providing an alternate means of communication and control to people with severe cognitive or sensory motor disabilities. Brain Computer Interface in electroencephalogram EEG is of great important but it is challenging to manage the non stationary EEG. EEG signals are more vulnerable to contamination due to noise and artifacts. In our proposed work, we used Cuckoo Search Masking Empirical Mode decomposition to ignore such vulnerable things. Initially, the features of EEG signals are taken such as Energy, AR Coefficients, Morphological features and Fuzzy Approximate Entropy. Then, for Feature extraction method, Masking Empirical Mode Decomposition MEMD is applied to deal with motor imagery MI recognition tasks. The EEG signal is decomposed by MEMD and hybrid features are then extracted from the first two intrinsic mode functions IMFs . After the extracted features, Cuckoo Search algorithm is used to select the significant features. Different weights for the relevance and redundancy in the fitness function of the proposed algorithm are used to further improve their performance in terms of the number of features and the classification accuracy and finally they are fed into Linear Discriminant Analysis for classification. This analysis produces models whose accuracy is as good as more complex method. The results show that our proposed method can achieve the highest accuracy, maximal MI, recall as well as precision for Motor Imagery Recognition tasks. Our proposed method is comparable or superior than existing method. Smart antenna is a next generation antenna which can increase capacity in a cellular communication system, can reduce the effect of the multipath fading, increase the diversity gain, and suppress the co channel interference between different devices. The antenna operates in conjunction with mobile subscriber unit and provides a plurality of antenna elements. The antenna array creates a beamformer for signals to be transmitted from the mobile subscriber unit, and a directional receiving array to more optimally detect and receive signals transmitted from the base station. By directionally receiving and transmitting signals, multipath fading is greatly reduced as well as intercell interference. This paper assesses the effects of prolonged exposure of RFID to water on the performance of existing TAG recognition systems. The dataset used in this research is collected using a high end, multispectral RFID scanner. To perform a data acquisition, we recruited volunteers to contribute their fingerprint samples to the dataset in multiple sessions. Once the dataset is filled with both fingerprints under normal and wrinkled conditions, we use a minutiae based fingerprint verification system to retrieve the match scores between all combinations of prints. Finally, we use receiver operating characteristic ROC curve to measure the behavior of such systems under maritime environment. Using the equal error rate EER , we successfully quantify the degradation in performance due to water induced skin pruning, which is approximately 1 reduction in EER. Hence the workers don't know how much amount bagasse in the silo In all sugar industries the cane after processing is left with the waste product called "Bagasse". The Bagasse produced in the mills is used as a fuel to boilers and the generation of steam. The steam thus produced is expanded in turbines and the power is generated. As the bagasse used for boiler to heat up and it is as per their requirement the bagasse will be used. They are used glass on middle of silo to know the amount of bagasse. One of the biggest challenges in this area is to make such application devices work with low power battery based applications . The main drawback comes from the higher power consumption, inherently needed to sustain much higher data rates. In this project, a solution is proposed to improve the low power consumption in Wi Fi sensors by making use of advanced RF based Microprocessor from Texas instruments CC3200 . Bed Occupancy sensor automation has been designed and implemented to test the feasibility of the approach. The TI CC3200 comes with ARM Cortex M4 as a core and inbuilt Wi Fi subsystem. The CC3200 provides different power modes to make the device enter into sleep or hibernate mode. This device will only enter only in work phase when the sensor is active state. During this phase, the processor sample and processes the sensor data and uploads to the cloud using REST API. With the increasing penetration of wind energy into electricity grids, energy storage will be required to dynamically adapt to the intermittency of wind energy. This article proposes a new two stage constant power control system for a wind farm equipped with Dual Induction Generator DFIG wind turbines. Each DFIG wind turbine is equipped with a super capacitor energy storage ESS system and is controlled by low level wind turbines WTG and coordinated by a higher level wind farm monitoring control system WFSC . . The WFSC generates the actual power references for the lower layer WTG commands based on the actual power demand of the network operator or the corresponding production commitment. The WKA lower layer regulators then control each DFIG wind turbine to produce the desired amount of active power, balancing the gaps between available wind energy and the desired active power through the SSE. In PSCAD EMTDC, simulation studies will be carried out in a wind farm with 15 DFIG wind turbines to verify the effectiveness of the proposed regulatory system.
