In our study, we aimed to evaluate the pathological response rates and side effect profile of adding pertuzumab to the treatment of HER2+ locally advanced, inflammatory, or early-stage breast cancer. This study was conducted by the Turkish Oncology Group (TOG) with data collected from 32 centers. Our study was multicentric, and a total of 364 patients were included. The median age of the patients was 49 years (18-85 years). Two hundred fifteen (60%) of the cases were hormone receptor/HER2+ positive(ER+ or PR+, or both), and 149 (40%) of them were HER2-rich (ER and PR negative). The number of complete responses was 124 (54%) in the docetaxel+trastuzumab+pertuzumab arm and 102 (45%) in the paclitaxel+trastuzumab+pertuzumab arm, and there was no difference between the groups in terms of complete response. In 226 (62%) patients with complete response, a significant correlation was found with DCIS, tumor focality, removed lymph node, and ER status P < 0.05. Anemia, nausea, vomiting, myalgia, alopecia, and mucosal inflammation were significantly higher in the docetaxel arm, P < 0.05. In our study, no statistical difference was found between the before-after echocardiography values. DCIS positivity in biopsy before neoadjuvant chemotherapy, tumor focality; the number of lymph nodes removed and ER status were found to be associated with pCR. In conclusion, we think that studies evaluating pCR-related clinicopathological variables and radiological imaging features will play a critical role in the development of nonsurgical treatment approaches.

We present this case to emphasize and remind that a durable complete response in advanced stage MIoma may be achieved with a short course of streptozotocin plus doxorubicin combination.

Endocrine therapy-induced hair loss (ETIHL) associated with aromatase inhibitors and tamoxifen treatment is currently mostly reported but remained an unresolved therapeutic issue in patients with breast cancer (BC) since the number of studies regarding the management is limited in literature. Herein we investigated the possible causes of this clinical problem and its relation with endocrine therapies widely used for BC survivors and made some modest practical recommendations in light of the literature review in order to provide an optimal management. On the basis of literature findings, common causes of hair loss apart from endocrine therapies should be investigated with an initial evaluation workup and then should be corrected, if observed. Treatment with topical 5-alpha reductase inhibitors and supplementation of Vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids are likely appeared to be the most appropriate treatment agents for ETIHL without causing an adverse effect on BC prognosis. However, more prospective, randomised, placebo-controlled studied are required in order to confirm our results and also identify the clinical effects of this problem on patients with BC.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common leukemia worldwide. Skin lesions associated with CLL mostly develop on the bases of infectious or a hemorrhagic origin with an estimated incidence of 25% of all the cases. Kaposi sarcoma (KS)-associated with human herpes virus-8 infection is a spindle-cell, malignant, low-grade tumor originating from vascular and lymphatic endothelium. KS mostly presents with skin lesions as the initial presentation. The relation between these two pathologies has not yet been clarified up to date. Herein, we report a case of KS along with CLL to illustrate the possible relation between these two pathologies.

Although the optimal treatment for hepatic metastasis from gastric cancer is chemotherapy, there are a few reports showing better survival after hepatectomy. Various factors such as depth of invasion, lymphatic invasion, histology, number of metastases, time of metastasectomy and surgical margins for hepatic tumors may be associated with the outcome after hepatic metastasectomy in patients with gastric cancer metastasis. Herein we aimed to emphasize the importance of surgical excision in a patient with gastric cancer who underwent surgery of D2 dissection and liver metastasectomy at the time of diagnosis. Compared to the literature cases, our case had many different poor prognostic factors such as neural/lymphovascular invasion, peripheral tissue invasion, lymph node invasion and the size of the tumor. Colorectal cancer CRC is the third most common cancer in the world and second most common cause of cancer mortality after lung cancer. Metastasis to the regional lymph nodes are found in 40–70% of cases at the time of resection, with metastasis to more distant sites occurring most frequently in the liver, peritoneal cavity, and lung, followed by the adrenals, ovaries, and bone. it is a rare case for a CRC to metastasis to skin and breast and that indicates advanced disease. In this case we reported a 64-year-old female CRC patient presenting with cervical and intra abdominal lymph nodes metastase a short time after adjuvant chemotherapy treatment and subsequent developing breast and diffuse skin metastase at initial of new cure chemotherapy. Because of skin and breast metastase related to colorectal cancers are so rare we try to inform this case to literature, Kolorektal kanser dünya çapında en sık görülen üçüncü ve akciğer kanserinden sonra en sık ölüme neden olan ikinci malignitedir.
