Due to the new development stage, it is especially important to improve the education quality of private undergraduate universities. As a result, it is a new hot issue for the construction of mechanisms and assessment systems for the quality improvement of private undergraduate education. In this paper, after analyzing and researching the quality of undergraduate education in present-day universities, the mechanism of deep learning is applied to the establishment of the assessment system. Finally, 1082 samples collected from the data center platform of a private university are analyzed as the research object. From the results, the final size of the combined weights of the seven evaluation items constituting the assessment system differed little. They were 12.81%, 15.78%, 15.28%, 14.38%, 12.83%, 12.81%, 15.01%, and 13.27%, respectively. In the comparison of this paper’s method with FAHP+TOPSIS combined evaluation, euclidean map method, and genetic algorithm assignment, the difference between the seven weight values of the Euclidean map method is larger, 5.56%. The evaluation times of the four methods were 41 s, 38 s, 47 s, and 118 s. Compared with the other three methods, the genetic algorithm assignment took the most time.

University is an inevitable product of a city’s development to a specific stage. In different social environments and historical stages, universities always develop symbiotically with cities, and the integration of the higher education system and emerging technologies can accelerate the regional economic development of universities and cities. Based on data mining technology, this study uses a neural network algorithm to establish an algorithmic model and sigmoid function as the incentive function to analyze the integration development of the emerging technology industry and university in Dongguan city and provide an optimization path for the integration development of the city and university. The research results show that in the field of scientific and technological research results, the universities in Dongguan City applied for 49,726 patents in 2021 and authorized 25,523, with an efficiency rate of 51.33%. In the area of urban economic development, Dongguan’s GDP in 2021 showed strong momentum, achieving a regional GDP of 108.554 billion yuan, up 8.2% over the previous year.

In this work, we established a HepG2 cell model of hypercholesterolemia in order to investigate the cholesterol-lowering activity and underlying mechanism of sterols. The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG) and cholesterol regulation-related proteins were measured in HepG2 cells treated with nothing, simvastatin as a positive control or sterols. The results showed that the four sterol compounds tested could reduce TC and TG levels and mitigate the increase of lipids levels and lipid metabolism disorder in hypercholesterolemic cells. Moreover, they reduced the biosynthesis and absorption of cholesterol, decreased cholesterol esterification and promoted cholesterol excretion to the intestine by down-regulating the expression of Niemann-Pick C1-like 1 (NPC1L1), acetyl-coenzyme A acetyltransferase 2 (ACAT2), 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A synthase (HMGCS1) and sterol-regulatory element-binding proteins (SREBP2), and up-regulating the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter G5/8 (ABCG5/8). We concluded that sterols improve lipid levels in hypercholesterolemic cells by affecting the expression of proteins related to cholesterol absorption and metabolism.

An inducer is a key component in a cryogenic pump to improve its cavitation performance. The thermodynamic effects of the cryogenic medium make the cryogenic cavitation flow extremely complicated. For this reason, it is crucial to investigate the cryogenic cavitation flow of the inducer which is equipped upstream of the cryogenic pump. In this paper, the isothermal cavitation model is modified based on the law of heat conduction, and the cryogenic cavitation model of the inducer is developed by considering thermodynamic effects. The turbulence model is also modified to account for the compressibility of cryogenic cavitation flow. The methods of numerical calculations are performed to investigate the influence of thermodynamic effects on cryogenic cavitation of the inducer. The law of the spatio-temporal evolution of cryogen cavitation in the inducer is clarified. The initial position, development and collapse phenomenon of cavitation are obtained. The relationship between the generation and collapse of the cavitation and the work capacity of the inducer's blade, the relationship between thermodynamic effects and the influence of the inducer's blade tip leakage vortex and thermodynamic on cryogenic cavitation of the inducer are revealed. In China, where the corporate social responsibility (CSR) process is relatively underdeveloped, the government has promulgated a series of laws and regulations on CSR disclosure in recent years to promote the sustainable transformation of the economy. Using data from A-share listed Chinese firms from 2009 to 2021, this study empirically examines the relationship between CSR disclosure quality and firm investment efficiency in China. The results indicate that (1) improvements in CSR disclosure quality significantly mitigate firms' underinvestment and overinvestment, thereby enhancing investment efficiency. (2) Further analysis shows that high-quality CSR information also promotes investment efficiency by reducing agency costs and financing constraints and improving media evaluations of firms. (3) A heterogeneity analysis suggests that the positive effect of CSR disclosure on investment efficiency is stronger for firms with lower equity incentives, more severe financing constraints, and higher media attention. Our study extends the understanding of the mechanisms through which CSR disclosure affects firms' investment efficiency, potentially providing insights for research in related fields and guiding future CSR disclosure practices in other developing countries. Using Chinese A-share listed companies from 2006 to 2013 as the research sample, this paper empirically examines the impact and mechanism of the mandatory CSR disclosure policy on Chinese firms' risk-taking by combining the difference-in-differences (DID) approach. This study finds that the implementation of the policy increases firms' operating costs and leads to an increase in their financing constraints, which ultimately creates a disincentive for firms to take risks. Second, we also find that, relative to firms that do not disclose CSR reports, the sales revenues, R&D investment and investment levels of firms subject to CSR disclosure are significantly reduced, which may be the result of firms' tendency to operate conservatively. In addition, heterogeneity analyses suggest that the dampening effect of mandatory CSR disclosure policies on risk-taking is stronger for firms with higher financing costs and for non-state-owned firms. This study further explores the mechanism of the impact of mandatory CSR disclosure on firms' risk-taking, which will help the government to formulate and improve the information disclosure policy regarding driving the transformation of corporate development in the future. Aims: A therapeutic strategy for chronic heart failure (HF) is to lower resting heart rate (HR). Ivabradine is a well‐known HR‐lowering agent, but limited prospective data exist regarding its use in Chinese patients. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ivabradine in Chinese patients with chronic HF. Methods and results: This multicentre, single‐arm, prospective, observational study enrolled Chinese patients with chronic HF. The primary outcome was change from baseline in HR at 1 and 6 months, measured by pulse counting. Effectiveness was also evaluated using laboratory tests, the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) clinical summary score (CSS) and overall summary score (OSS), and New York Heart Association (NYHA) class. Treatment‐emergent adverse events (TEAEs) were assessed. A post hoc analysis examined the effectiveness and safety of ivabradine combined with an angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) or beta‐blocker. A total of 1003 patients were enrolled [mean age 54.4 ± 15.0 years, 773 male (77.1%), mean baseline HR 88.5 ± 11.3 b.p.m., mean blood pressure 115.7/74.4 ± 17.2/12.3 mmHg, mean left ventricular ejection fraction 30.9 ± 7.6%, NYHA Classes III and IV in 48.8% and 22.0% of patients, respectively]. HR decreased by a mean of 12.9 and 16.1 b.p.m. after 1 and 6 months, respectively (both P < 0.001). At Month 6, improvements in the KCCQ CSS and OSS of ≥5 points were observed in 72.1% and 74.1% of patients, respectively (both P < 0.001). Left ventricular ejection fraction increased by 12.1 ± 11.6 (P < 0.001), and 66.7% of patients showed improvement in NYHA class (P < 0.001). At Month 6, the overall proportion of patients in NYHA Classes III and IV was reduced to 13.5% and 2.1%, respectively. Serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and N‐terminal pro‐BNP changed by −331.9 ng/L (−1238.6, −134.0) and −1113.8 ng/L (−2202.0, −297.2), respectively (P < 0.001). HR reductions and improvements in NYHA and KCCQ scores with ivabradine were similar with and without use of ARNIs or beta‐blockers. Of 498 TEAEs in 296 patients (29.5%), 73 TEAEs in 55 patients (5.5%) were considered related to ivabradine [most frequent sinus bradycardia (n = 7) and photopsia (n = 7)]. TEAEs were reported in a similar number of patients in ARNI and beta‐blocker subgroups (21.9–35.6%). Conclusions: Ivabradine treatment reduced HR and improved cardiac function and health‐related quality of life in Chinese patients with chronic HF. Benefits were seen irrespective of whether or not patients were also taking ARNIs or beta‐blockers. Treatment was well tolerated with a similar profile to previous ivabradine studies. Geostationary meteorological satellite data with high spatial and temporal resolution can be used to retrieve cloud physical parameters, which has significant advantages in tracking cloud evolution and development. Based on satellite multispectral RGB composite image and cloud physical analysis methods, we quantitatively analyze the evolution characteristics of cloud parameters in the pre-, mid- and post-artificially influenced weather process, explore the application potential benefits of satellite data in monitoring the operating conditions of the artificially influenced weather in the Panxi region, and verify the feasibility analysis of the evaluation of their effects. In this study, cloud parameters such as cloud particle effective radius (Re), cloud liquid water path (LWP), cloud ice water path (IWP), and cloud top height and temperature (CTH and CTT) are retrieved using FY−4A satellite data. For the Panxi region, the evolution characteristics of typical cloud parameters in the affected area before and after two aircraft artificial operational precipitation enhancements are analyzed. The results show that the satellite retrieval of cloud characteristic parameters in the Panxi region has good application value, which can be used to guide the artificial Operational Precipitation Enhancement. In this precipitation process, there are solid particles in the upper layer cloud and supercooled water in the lower layer cloud. After the cold cloud catalysis, the cloud top height, liquid water and ice water content, particle effective radius and ground precipitation in the operational area increased, and the cloud top temperature decreased. Thus, it effectively alleviated the drought in the Panxi region. The satellite retrieval of cloud characteristic parameters in the Panxi region has a good application value, which can provide a basis and guidance for future weather modification operations in the Panxi region. Abnormal levels of thiols in cysteine (Cys) have been shown to be associated with growth retardation, skin lesions, and neurotoxicity in humans. Herein, we designed and synthesized a rare earth upconversion luminescent (UCL) nanocomposite probe UCNP–PEG–NOF1 for the UCL detection of Cys using NOF1 developed by our group as a Cys probe. The core structure of rare earth nanoparticles can absorb light at 980 nm and convert it into visible light. The detection principle of Cys was based on the change in absorption peak before and after the reaction between NOF1 and Cys, as well as the change in UCL intensity. The rare earth nanocomposite in the probe could be excited by near-infrared light and had low background fluorescence and strong penetration ability; thus, the probe was successfully employed to specifically and sensitively detect Cys with a low background signal. Overall, the developed UCNP–PEG–NOF1 probe had good selectivity and high sensitivity for Cys; its detection limit was as low as 83 nM. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For the optimal power distribution problem of battery energy storage power stations containing multiple energy storage units, a grouping control strategy considering the wind and solar power generation trend is proposed. Firstly, a state of charge (SOC) consistency algorithm based on multi-agent is proposed. The adaptive power distribution among the units started can be realized using this algorithm. Then, considering the trend of wind and solar power generation, a reasonable grouping control strategy is formulated. The grouping situation of the units is determined by using the probability distribution characteristics of energy storage charging and discharging, which reduces the number of charging and discharging conversions and extends the power station life. Finally, the actual data of a wind–solar energy storage microgrid is used to verify the method. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method has certain advantages in terms of control effect, SOC consistency, and extending the power station life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
