Exploring the impact of different monitoring angles from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the monitoring accuracy of soil moisture content (SMC) is crucial for precision irrigation. To this end, experiment was conducted to monitor the SMC of winter wheat at different growth stages under different irrigation treatments in Yangling, Shaanxi, China. At a solar zenith angle of 45°, multispectral remote sensing data from a UAV were collected at thirteen different monitoring zenith angles. Simultaneously, the SMC in the wheat root zone was measured. From the UAV multispectral images, spectral reflectance was extracted for the construction of vegetation indices. Then the correlation between the vegetation indices and the measured SMC was analyzed. With the vegetation indices as input variables, SMC monitoring models were constructed using Extreme Learning Machine (ELM), Random Forest (RF), and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN). The study also examined the effect of specific angles (hotspot and dark spot angles) on the estimation accuracy of the SMC at the nadir angle. The results indicated that different monitoring angles significantly impact the SMC estimation accuracy. Band reflectance and vegetation indices exhibited significant peak values and angular effects at the monitoring zenith angle of 45°. The models achieved the optimal inversion accuracy at the hotspot angle (at a monitoring zenith angle of 45° in the solar principal plane), and the accuracy was ranked as follows: BPNN (R2 = 0.71; RMSE = 1.69) > ELM (R2 = 0.52; RMSE = 1.94) > RF (R2 = 0.48; RMSE = 2.10). By eliminating shadows at the nadir angle through the threshold of dark spot, inversion accuracy similar to the hotspot direction is achieved. Continuous time-series spectral data are important for inversion of crop or soil information. UAV remote sensing is usually selected under clear and windless weather conditions, but it is not possible to have such weather every day, which results in the UAV not collecting continuous daily spectral information. To explore this issue, we focused on summer maize with four irrigation levels as the research subject. A UAV platform with a multispectral sensor was used to acquire measured spectra of the maize canopy. The solar zenith angle was calculated and substituted into the Ambrals kernel-driven model to obtain simulated spectral data for the maize canopy, and the time-series UAV spectral data were complemented. Then, four vegetation indices (VIs) were established using simulated and measured spectral data, respectively, and the accuracy of the simulated VIs was evaluated. Finally, the simulated and measured VIs were used to monitor and evaluate variations in soil surface moisture content, respectively, and provide irrigation warning. The results demonstrated that Ambrals kernel-driven model can be used to simulate the reflectance of maize canopy collected by UAV. The simulated reflectance can complement time-series UAV spectral data and be used to establish VIs, among which Structure Intensive Pigment Index (SIPI) was established with the highest accuracy (R = 0.729). The VIs established by simulated reflectance can be used to monitor soil surface moisture content, and the monitoring effect is similar to the measured data (R2 = 0.642, RMSE = 0.42). It can evaluate the soil moisture a few days after irrigation and ensure the continuity and timeliness of soil moisture data, so as to improve the crop irrigation system and carry out irrigation warning. In this paper, a new stochastic epidemic model is established and the dynamical behavior of its solutions is studied for this model. A deterministic epidemic model (ordinary differential equation) is first proposed by considering the isolation mechanism, and the transmission probability function is determined by a Wells–Riley model method to analyze the transmission in the quarantine. For this deterministic model, the basic reproduction number R 0 is computed and it is used to determine the existence of disease-free and positive equilibria. The linearized stability of the equilibria is also discussed by analyzing the distribution of eigenvalues of the linear system. Following that, a corresponding stochastic epidemic model is further established by introducing stochastic disturbance. Then, the extinction result of the model is derived also with the help of the basic reproduction number R 0 s. Furthermore, by applying the theory of Markov semigroups, it is proved that the densities of the distributions of the solutions can converge to an invariant density or sweeping under certain conditions. At last, some numerical simulations are provided and discussed to illustrate the practicability of the model and the obtained theoretical results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) are used to inform the mechanisms of transcriptional regulation in eukaryotic cells. However, the specificity of genome-wide eQTL identification is limited by stringent control for false discoveries. Here, we described a method based on the non-homogeneous Poisson process to identify 125 489 regions with highly frequent, multiple eQTL associations, or 'eQTL-hotspots', from the public database of 59 human tissues or cell types. We stratified the eQTL-hotspots into two classes with their distinct sequence and epigenomic characteristics. Based on these classifications, we developed a machine-learning model, E-SpotFinder, for augmented discovery of tissue- or cell-type-specific eQTL-hotspots. We applied this model to 36 tissues or cell types. Using augmented eQTL-hotspots, we recovered 655 402 eSNPs and reconstructed a comprehensive regulatory network of 2 725 380 cis -interactions among eQTL-hotspots. We further identified 52 012 modules representing transcriptional programs with unique functional backgrounds. In summary, our study provided a framework of epigenome-augmented eQTL analysis and thereby constructed comprehensive genome-wide networks of cis -regulations across diverse human tissues or cell types. This paper presents a comprehensive optimization approach for enhancing the performance of a methanol/diesel Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) engine. Initially, a hybrid fuel engine combustion chamber model was developed using AVL-FIRE software, and the simulated results were compared with the values obtained from bench tests. An orthogonal experimental design was employed to optimize five key factors, namely methanol blending ratio, EGR rate, injection advance angle, intake pressure, and intake temperature. Evaluation indexes were established, with indicated power and NO emissions assigned weights of 0.35 and 0.65, respectively. The optimal parameter combinations were determined as follows: methanol blending ratio (a1=20%), EGR rate (a2=12.5%), injection advance angle (a3=16.6°CA), intake temperature (a4 = 315.15 K), and intake pressure (a5=0.173 MPa). The indicated power of the optimized configuration reached 47.8 kW, slightly lower than the original 55 kW, while the NO emission mass fraction decreased to 1.9×10-4%, representing a significant reduction of 77.6% compared to the original value of 8.5×10-4%. This optimization methodology demonstrates the effective reduction of NO emissions without compromising power performance in methanol/diesel EGR engines.

In order to further investigate the performance of the butanol-diesel dual-fuel engine, this paper uses the 4190ZLC-2 marine medium-speed diesel engine as a prototype and establishes a dual-fuel engine high-pressure cycle model using AVL-FIRE simulation software. The injection advance angle was set to 16.6°, 18.6°, 20.6° and 22.6° respectively, and its effect on the performance of the dual-fuel engine was investigated by varying the injection advance angle. The results show that as the injection advance angle increases, the incylinder pressure and temperature also increase. When the injection advance angle is 22.6°CA, compared with the original engine, CO emission is reduced by 16.8%, NO emission is increased by 7.4%, carbon smoke emission is reduced by 16.9%, and the indicated power is 52.6kW, which is increased by 1.8%.

Kesterite is an earth‐abundant energy material with high predicted power conversion efficiency, making it a sustainable and promising option for photovoltaics. However, a large open circuit voltage Voc deficit due to non‐radiative recombination at intrinsic defects remains a major hurdle, limiting device performance. Incorporating Ge into the kesterite structure emerges as an effective approach for enhancing performance by manipulating defects and morphology. Herein, how different amounts of Ge affect the kesterite growth pathways through the combination of advanced microscopy characterization techniques are systematically investigated. The results demonstrate the significance of incorporating Ge during the selenization process of the CZTSSe thin film. At high temperature, the Ge incorporation effectively delays the selenization process due to the formation of a ZnSe layer on top of the metal alloys through decomposition of the Cu‐Zn alloy and formation of Cu‐Sn alloy, subsequently forming of Cu‐Sn‐Se phase. Such an effect is compounded by more Ge incorporation that further postpones kesterite formation. Furthermore, introducing Ge mitigates detrimental "horizontal" grain boundaries by increasing the grain size on upper layer. The Ge incorporation strategy discussed in this study holds great promise for improving device performance and grain quality in CZTSSe and other polycrystalline chalcogenide solar cells.
