Using the concept of bounded boundary rotation, we investigate various properties of two new generalized classes of spirallike and Robertson functions of complex order with bounded boundary rotations. © Kyungpook Mathematical Journal.

The influence of climatic oscillations (based on NAO and ENSO) on monthly catch rates of fish population such as blue fish and sea bass (pomatomus population between 1991-2008) were analyzed in Black Sea and Marmara Sea by wavelet transform (Wavelet 1-D and continuous wavelet 1-D) with DMeyer for 7-Levels. Wavelet analysis is an efficient method of time series analysis to study non-stationary data. Wavelet analyses allowed us to quantify both the pattern of variability in the time series and non-stationary associations between fish population and climatic signals. Phase analyses were carried out to investigate dependency between the two signals. We reported strong relations between fish stock and climate series for the 4- and 5-yr periodic modes, i.e. the periodic band of the El Niño Southern Oscillation signal propagation in the Black and Marmara Seas. These associations were nonstationary, evidenced from 1995 to 2008. Warm episodes matched increases of longline catch rates of bigeye during the 1970–1990 time frames, whereas the strong 1997–1998 warm event matched a decrease of purse seine catch rates of yellowfin. We discussed these results in terms of changes in catchability for purse seine and longline. The results of this study were compared with former harmonic analyses to explain seasonal effects of NAO and ENSO on fish population.

In the present paper we extend the fundamental property that if h(z) and g(z) are regular functions in the open unit disc D with the properties h(0) = g(0) = 0, h maps D onto many-sheeted region which is starlike with respect to the origin, and Re g ′ (z) h′(z) > 0, then Re g(z) h(z) > 0, introduced by R.J. Libera [5] to the Janowski functions and give some applications of this to the harmonic functions.

In the present paper we extent the fundamental property that if h(z) and g(z) are regular functions in the open unit disc D with the properties h(0) = g(0) = 0, h(z) maps D onto λ-spiral region and Ren e iλ g 0 (z) h0(z) o > 0, then Ren e iλ g(z) h(z) o > 0, and then give some applications of this to the harmonic functions.

WOS: 000208350900011 Marine ecosystems are not in steady state. They are affected by the environment. Fish populations respond to the variations of environmental factors which varies on spatial and temporal scales. The main aim of this study is to define the effects of atmospheric parameters variability on given fish population, such as horse mackerel (Trachurus trachurus), pilchard (Sardina pilchardus), atlantic bonito (Sarda sarda), anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus), grey mullet (Mugil cephalus), blue fish (Pomatomus saltator) in the Black sea, Marmara sea, and swordfish (Xiphias gladius), gill head sea bream (Sparus aurata), sea bream (Sparus pagrus), chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus) in the northern part of the Aegean sea. Surface atmospheric parameters such as: air temperature, rainfall rate and sea surface temperature values observed in the period between 1980 and 2003 are statistically analysed. Time series analyses show the increasing and decreasing number of populations, aquaculture, in different years. In the second part of this study, harmonic analysis techniques were applied on data. The variations of first-sixth order harmonic amplitudes and phases provide a useful means of understanding the large and local-scale effects on meteorological parameters. The phase angle can be used to determine the time of the year when the maximum or minimum of a given harmonic occurs. Large- and meso-scale effects on fish populations and aquaculture were defined by comparing amplitude and phase values. As a case study, if we compare the population of anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) with annual total rainfall rate and annual average air temperature, it is concluded that rainfall variations play more important role on the population. This study has a key role to define the climate changing effects on meteorological parameters.

Teknik Eğitim Fakültelerinin amacı Teknik Lise ve Endüstri Meslek Liselerinde okutulan meslek derslerini verebilecek ve bunun yanı sıra endüstriye de hizmet edebilecek teknik öğretmen yetiştirmektir. Bu yetişmiş öğretmen adaylarının Endüstrinin değişik iş kollarında kolay iş bulup bulamamaları arkasındaki nedenlerin (faktörlerin) araştırılması güncelliğini korumaktadır. Bunun tersinin de araştırılması gerekmektedir. Yani "Endüstri'nin çeşitli iş kolları, teknik eğitim fakültesi mezunlarını, istihdam etmek için, yeterli görüyor mu?" sorusunun araştırılması aynı ölçüde önemlidir. Biz çalışmamızda nitel özellikteki nicel gözlem verilerini kullanarak sonuca varmak ve yorumlayarak yeni bilgiler bulmayı amaçladık. Klasik Analizle çözülemeyen bazı veri tiplerine çözüm getirilmek için lineer modellerin matrislerle ifade ve çözümlemesinin (analizi) bazı sakıncaları vardır[l].Uzun süre nitel değ işkenlerin sözkonusu olduğu araştırmaların istatistiksel değerlendirmelerinde lineer modellerden yararlanırken başvurulan yöntem genellikle Variyans Analizi (Çözümlemesi)dir[2]. Ancak bu yaklaşımla matris cebrinin pek ötesine gidilmeyip tekrar klasik yöntemlere dönülmüştür ya da bir takım kısıtlamalara gidilerek çözüm yolları aranmıştır. Bunun başlıca nedeni nitel değişkenler kullanarak oluşturulan model genel olarak: Y=X ß+ ? biçiminde olup bu modellerde tek çözüm elde edilememektedir. Çünkü bu modelden elde edilen normal denklemlerinin X'X matrisi özel bir yapı gösterip, bunun rankı tam değildir. Klasik anlamda normal denklemlerin katsayılar matrisinin determinantı sıfırdan farklı olmadığından (tam ranklı değil) ters matrisi yoktur.Bilinmeyen parametreler vektörü için tek çözüm olmadığından ya kısıtlamalara gidilmektedir ya da önceden uygun koşullar öne sürülerek çözüm getirilmektedir. Ancak bu şekilde çözümsüzlüğün üstesinden geliniyordu. Çalışmamızda yine nitel değişkenlerle oluşturulan modele kısıtlamalar olmadan da "Genelleştirilmiş Ters Matrislerle" çözüm bulunabileceğini göstereceğiz.
