Online health information, as an emerging field in health communication research, has attracted close attention from researchers. To identify major determinants of why individuals seek health information online, we conducted a meta-analysis that systematically accumulates the existing research findings. To that end, by integrating three theories or models for examining information-seeking behavior, we developed a theoretical framework for the current meta-analysis that emphasizing psychosocial, instrumental, contextual, and demographic factors. By analyzing the effect sizes from 44 articles representing 54 empirical samples, we found that the quality, trustworthiness, and utility of online health information were the dominant predictors of seeking it and that instrumental factors were more important than psychological ones in determining whether individuals did so. Moreover, the development of information and communication technology, the sampling method, and the type of information sought significantly moderated pairwise relationships between determinants and seeking behavior, whereas culture did not. To examine the nature and content of messages presented in a popular Chinese online community about intimate partner violence (IPV), this study utilized a two-step analytic approach that combined quantitative content analysis and automatic content analysis. We collected 90,040 messages from the online community's IPV group. Study 1 analyzed 8,343 randomly selected messages. The findings suggest that social support is commonly presented, while only a few messages expressed blame toward the victims. Study 2 analyzed the whole sample via machine learning technique and further showed that this online community was a space for the victims to obtain informational resources and emotional encouragement. Summary: The stock‐driven dynamic material flow analysis (MFA) model is one of the prevalent tools to investigate the evolution and related material metabolism of the building stock. There exists substantial uncertainty inherent to input parameters of the stock‐driven dynamic building stock MFA model, which has not been comprehensively evaluated yet. In this study, a probabilistic, stock‐driven dynamic MFA model is established and China's urban housing stock is selected as the empirical case. This probabilistic dynamic MFA model has the ability to depict the future evolution pathway of China's housing stock and capture uncertainties in its material stock, inflow, and outflow. By means of probabilistic methods, a detailed and transparent estimation of China's housing stock and its material metabolism behavior is presented. Under a scenario with a saturation level of the population, urbanization, and living space, the median value of the urban housing stock area, newly completed area, and demolished area would peak at around 49, 2.2, and 2.2 billion square meters, respectively. The corresponding material stock and flows are 79, 3.5, and 3.3 billion tonnes, respectively. Uncertainties regarding housing stock and its material stock and flows are non‐negligible. Relative uncertainties of the material stock and flows are above 50%. The uncertainty importance analysis demonstrates that the material intensity and the total population are major contributions to the uncertainty. Policy makers in the housing sector should consider the material efficiency as an essential policy to mitigate material flows of the urban building stock and to lower the risk of policy failures. MgO-doped LiNbO3 (LN:Mg) is famous for its high resistance to optical damage, but this phenomenon only occurs in visible and infrared regions, and its photorefraction is not decreased but enhanced in ultraviolet region. Here we investigated a series of ZrO2 co-doped LN:Mg (LN:Mg,Zr) regarding their ultraviolet photorefractive properties. The optical damage resistance experiment indicated that the resistance against ultraviolet damage of LN:Mg was significantly enhanced with increased ZrO2 doping concentration. Moreover, first-principles calculations manifested that the enhancement of ultraviolet damage resistance for LN:Mg,Zr was mainly determined by both the increased band gap and the reduced ultraviolet photorefractive center O2−/−. So, LN:Mg,Zr crystals would become an excellent candidate for ultraviolet nonlinear optical material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The metal-halide perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have been emerged as new stars of optoelectronic materials with fascinating luminescence properties. However, the poor stability of these materials severely restricts their practical applications. In this work, the novel defect-related luminescent mesoporous silica nanospheres are employed as protective matrix to improve the stability of PQDs for the first time. Firstly, the monodisperse CsPbBr 3 and CsPbBr 1.5 I 1.5 PQDs with perfect nanocube morphology and eminent luminescence properties have been prepared respectively by a facile synthesis strategy. Then, the CsPbBr 3 and CsPbBr 1.5 I 1.5 PQDs are encapsulated into the non-luminescent (SN) and luminescent silica matrix (DL-SN) respectively, resulting in the PQDs@SN and PQDs@DL-SN nanocomposites. The incorporation of the PQDs and silica matrix can be confirmed by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, XPS, elemental mapping images, N 2 adsorption/desorption isotherms, and density functional theory. The as-synthesized silica matrix especially for the DL-SN presents a remarkable enhancement of stability against temperature, storage time, and water for both CsPbBr 3 and CsPbBr 1.5 I 1.5 in comparison to the pristine PQDs. Furthermore, the formation mechanism and stability improvement mechanism have been discussed in detail. [Display omitted] A series of novel rare earth activator ions-doped perovskite-type lanthanum titanate La 4 Ti 3 O 12 phosphors have been synthesized via the Pechini sol-gel method. The influence of calcination temperature and time on crystal structure of the La 4 Ti 3 O 12 matrix is investigated, and the result indicates that higher temperature and longer calcination time is beneficial for better crystallinity. Upon ultraviolet excitation, the as-synthesized activator ions (Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+, and Tb3+) ions doped La 4 Ti 3 O 12 phosphors display the characteristic quasi-white, reddish orange, orange, and green emissions in visible region. The higher calcination temperature and longer time can induce stronger luminescence due to enhanced crystallinity of La 4 Ti 3 O 12 host. The optimal doping concentrations of Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+, and Tb3+ ions are determined to be 2, 12, 2, and 10 mol%, respectively. The corresponding LED devices fabricated by the phosphors and UV LED chips can exhibit bright characteristic multicolor emissions of activator ions, indicating their potential in LEDs and optoelectronic devices. Moreover, the up-conversion luminescence properties of the Yb3+/Er3+, Yb3+/Tm3+, and Yb3+/Ho3+ doped samples are also studied. The result shows that the excellent up-conversion performances can be also realized by doping appropriate rare earth ions into the host matrix by employing the NIR excitation. Mental illness is a prevalent and pressing public health problem among the Asian population, especially among young adults. This study examined the psychosocial predictors of the intention to seek counseling based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the effects of mental health conditions on the relative contributions of the TPB predictors in forming the intention among Asian young adults. The survey results in Singapore (n = 232) and Hong Kong (n = 998) revealed that attitudes, descriptive norms, and self-efficacy significantly predicted the intention to seek counseling in both Asian sites. In addition, the descriptive norms-intention association was stronger among those in a better mental health condition than among those with a worse mental health condition for both samples. The findings extend the literature on the TPB, as well as provide tailored strategies to promote counseling seeking among Asian young adults.
