Enzymes play a key role in natural mineralization, but their function is disabling in bone metabolism when patients suffer severe degenerations like hypophosphatasia. To regulate bone homeostasis, a self‐activating phosphorus‐rich system is proposed on calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP) modified polyurethane (PU) fibrous substrate, wherein ample enzyme catalytic domains are imported with intestinal alkaline phosphatase (IALP) chelating and activating by calcium in situ that is testified by chemical potential evaluation. Therefore, Ca‐bonding IALP catalyzes organophosphate to phosphate locally to achieve a calcified symbiotic state, regulating mineralization and accelerating osteoinduction in vitro and in vivo. The self‐activating enzyme system promotes early osteogenic differentiation and angiogenesis, resulting in rapid healing of cranial defect with a "long‐tail" effect compared to an enzyme‐assisted system. Transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses demonstrate positive associations with neovascularization and calcium/phosphorus metabolism, specifically upregulated glycerophospholipids and calcium ions in favor of osteogenic differentiation under cytokine‐free conditions. Background Objectives Methods Results Conclusions Illness perceptions are an important factor affecting the prognosis of stroke patients. Evaluating the illness perceptions of stroke patients is of great importance for predicting their health behaviour and rehabilitation outcomes. However, there is no specific tool for assessing illness perceptions in stroke patients in China.The objective of this study is to translate the Stroke Illness Perception Questionnaire‐Revised (SIPQ‐R) into Chinese and to psychometrically test the Chinese version of the scale in the population of Chinese stroke patients.This was a methodological study. We investigated 593 stroke patients in the neurology department of a hospital in China from March to September 2021. We translated the SIPQ‐R and adapted it to the cultural context, after which we evaluated the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of SIPQ‐R.Exploratory factor analysis identified eight common factors that accounted for 71.74% of the total variance, and the factor loadings ranged from 0.530 to 0.933. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the eight‐factor structure (χ2/df = 1.765, root mean square error of approximation = 0.053, incremental fit index = 0.906, comparative fit index = 0.905 and Tucker–Lewis index = 0.900). Internal consistency was confirmed by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.982. The test–retest reliability was 0.762. The results showed good content validity (the scale level content validity index was 0.940, and the item level content validity index values ranged from 0.860 to 0.960). There were no missing responses and floor or ceiling effects. The standard error of measurement and the smallest detectable change for the SIPQ‐R were 45.49 and 126.10, respectively.The results of this study provide empirical evidence for the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the SIPQ‐R for stroke patients. Transition metallic binary alloys have attracted enormous attention in regard to the non-enzymatic detection of glucose due to their high electrocatalytic activities induced by the synergistic effect between the individual metallic species. However, the easy aggregation of the bimetallic particles has limited their performance. Herein, a facile metal–organic framework (MOF)-derived strategy is developed to synthesize a hybrid containing binary Co–Ni nanoparticles decorated on an N-doped porous carbon matrix (CoxNiy/N-C) for the non-enzymatic detection of glucose. The Co/Ni ratio in the hybrid is investigated to regulate its electrocatalytic behaviors for glucose sensing. A hybrid with the optimal Co/Ni ratio of 1:1 displays two linear detection ranges (0.5 µM to 1 mM and 1 mM to 10 mM) with a detection limit of 0.11 µM for glucose. To explore distinct longitudinal trajectories of resourcefulness among initial ischemic stroke patients from diagnosis to 12 months, and to identify whether sociodemographic factors, disease-related factors, self-efficacy, family function, and social support can predict patterns in the trajectories of resourcefulness. Methods: A prospective longitudinal study was conducted. Initial ischemic stroke patients who met inclusion and exclusion criteria were followed up when still in hospital (Preparing for discharge, Baseline, T1), at 1 month (T2), at 3 months (T3), at 6 months (T4), at 9 months (T5) and 12 months (T6) (± 1 week) after discharge. General information, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Modified Rankin Scale (mRS), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), General Family Functioning Subscale (FAD-GF), and Social Support Rate Scale (SSRS) were used in T1. The Resourcefulness Scale© was evaluated at 6 time points. Growth mixture modeling was used to identify trajectory patterns of resourcefulness. Logistic regression was used to identify predictors of resourcefulness trajectories. Results: Three longitudinal trajectories of resourcefulness were identified and named as the high-stable class (38.9%, n=71), fluctuation class (41.2%, n=75), and low-stable class (19.9%, n=36), respectively. Dwelling areas (x2= 6.805, P= 0.009), education (x2= 44.865, P= 0.000), monthly income (x2= 13.063, P= 0.001), NIHSS scores (x2= 44.730, P= 0.000), mRS scores (x2= 51.788, P= 0.000), Hcy (x2= 9.345, P= 0.002), GSES (x2= 56.933, P= 0.000), FAD-GF (x2= 41.305, P= 0.000) and SSRS (x2=52.373, P= 0.000) were found to be statistically significant for distinguishing between different resourcefulness trajectory patterns. Lower education (OR=0.404), higher NIHSS(OR=6.672) scores, and higher mRS(OR=21.418) scores were found to be risk factors for lower resourcefulness, whereas higher education(OR=0.404), GSES(OR=0.276), FAD-GF(OR=0.344), and SSRS(OR=0.358) scores were identified as protective factors enhancing resourcefulness. Conclusion: This study obtained three patterns of trajectories and identified their predictive factors in initial ischemic stroke. The findings will assist health care professionals in identifying subgroups of patients and when they may be at risk of low resourcefulness and provide timely targeted intervention to promote resourcefulness. Public buildings consume the largest proportion of total energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in the building sector of China. Enhancing building energy efficiency becomes a necessary way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy waste. In this study, 10-year real data from 2000 buildings covering five different types of public buildings in a hot summer and cold winter zone in eastern coastal China were investigated to analyze energy-saving potential (ESP) and the impacts of various influencing factors on building energy performance. The concept of energy consumption limit (ECL) was proposed and used for identifying high energy-consuming buildings and the calculation of ESP. Hotels, shopping malls, and office buildings were the top three types of buildings with high ESP. ESP for the high energy-consuming buildings based on the benchmark limits was more than 18%, and that for three-star hotels and shopping malls was 51%. In addition, a correlation analysis between energy consumption and influencing factors was carried out, which laid the foundation for the development of building energy performance assessment and diagnosis tools. Patients with stroke usually use smartphones to obtain online information to maintain their health. But their ability to identify, evaluate and apply this information is still unknown. This study was designed to examine the reliability and validity of the electronic Health Literacy Scale among patients with stroke in China. This is a cross-sectional survey. A demographic questionnaire, the electronic Health Literacy Scale (e-HLS) and the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) were administered to a sample of 648 patients with ischemic stroke recruited from December 2020 to March 2021 in a tertiary hospital. The Cronbach'α coefficient on the e-HLS-CHI was 0.907. Kappa consistency coefficient of test-retest reliability was 0.691 (p <.05). Three factors were extracted by Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), accounting for 90.84% of the total variance. Confirmatory Factory Analysis (CFA) revealed that three factors of e-HLS-CHI fit well (NFI = 0.979, RFI = 0.955, IFI = 0.987, TLI = 0.972, CFI = 0.987, RMSEA = 0.070, CMIN/DF = 2.586). Good simultaneous validity was suggested by the positive correlation of 0.94 (p <.001) between the e-HLS-CHI and eHEALS. When using eHEALS as the standard, the area under the ROC curve of e-HLS-CHI was 0.896 (95% CI: 0.831–0.960, p <.001). The sensitivity and specificity were 97.8% and 70.4% respectively. Processibility and biodegradability of conductive polymers are major concerns when they are applied to tissue regeneration. This study synthesizes dissolvable and conductive aniline trimer-based polyurethane copolymers (DCPU) and processes them into scaffolds by using electrospinning with different patterns (random, oriented, and latticed). The effects of topographic cue changes on electrical signal transmission and further regulation of cell behaviors concerning bone tissue are researched. Results show that DCPU fibrous scaffolds possessed good hydrophilicity, swelling capacity, elasticity, and fast biodegradability in enzymatic liquid. In addition, the conductivity and efficiency of electrical signal transmission can be tuned by changing the surface's topological structure. Among them, oriented DCPU scaffolds (DCPU-O) showed the best conductivity with the lowest ionic resistance value. Furthermore, the viability and proliferation results of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) demonstrate a significant increase on three DCPU scaffolds compared to AT-free scaffolds (DPU-R). Especially, DCPU-O scaffolds exhibit superior abilities to promote cell proliferation because of their unique surface topography and excellent electroactivity. Concurrently, the DCPU-O scaffolds can synergistically promote osteogenic differentiation in terms of osteogenic differentiation and gene expression levels when combined with electrical stimulation. Recently, the high-dimensional negative binomial regression (NBR) for count data has been widely used in many scientific fields. However, most studies assumed the dispersion parameter as a constant, which may not be satisfied in practice. This paper studies the variable selection and dispersion estimation for the heterogeneous NBR models, which model the dispersion parameter as a function. Specifically, we proposed a double regression and applied a double ℓ 1 -penalty to both regressions. Under the restricted eigenvalue conditions, we prove the oracle inequalities for the lasso estimators of two partial regression coefficients for the first time, using concentration inequalities of empirical processes. Furthermore, derived from the oracle inequalities, the consistency and convergence rate for the estimators are the theoretical guarantees for further statistical inference. Purpose: To examine the effectiveness of goal-based health management on health knowledge, health belief and health behavior in people at high risk of stroke. Patients and Methods: This is a two-armed and non-randomized controlled trial from May 31, 2020 to December 31, 2020. Participants were arranged to receive regular health care (n=126) or goal-based health management (n=126). The generalized estimation equation was used to analyze the changes in the participants' health knowledge, health belief and health behavior at baseline (T0), 1-month (T1), 3-month (T3), and 6-month (T6). Results: A total of 243 participants completed the 6-month study, of which 123 were in the control group and 120 were in the intervention group. After receiving goal-based health management, participants' health behavior (β= 27.154, p< 0.001), health knowledge (β= 10.504, p< 0.001) and health belief (β= 49.057, p< 0.001) scores increased significantly. Conclusion: Goal-based health management can effectively improve the health knowledge, health belief and health behavior of people at high risk of stroke. We recommend that nurses can provide goal-based health management for people at high risk of stroke with support from hospitals and family members of people at high risk of stroke. The deformation shrinkage of a poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) fibrous material seriously affects its biomedical application. To demonstrate the underlying shrinking mechanism and to find a method to prevent the shrinkage of an electrospun PLGA membrane, we investigated the shrinking behavior of PLGA electrospun membranes under various test conditions and discussed the underlying shrinking mechanism. The results indicated that the shrinkage of the electrospun PLGA membrane was mainly regulated by the glass transition of its polymer fiber; the temperature and liquid environment were found to be the two main factors leading to the shrinkage of the electrospun PLGA membrane through affecting its glass transition. Then a heat stretching (HS) technique was proposed by us to stabilize the electrospun PLGA membrane. After HS treatment, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the electrospun PLGA membrane could increase from 48.38 °C to 54.55 °C. Our results indicated that the HS-treated membranes could maintain a high area percentage of 90.89 ± 2.27% and 84.78 ± 3.36% after immersion respectively in PBS and blood at 37 °C for 2 hours. Further experiments confirmed that the HS technique could also stabilize the dimensional structure of the electrospun PDLLA membrane in PBS and blood at 37 °C. This study provides an effective strategy for preventing the shrinkage of electrospun polyester biomaterials in a physiological environment that may benefit both the material structural stability and the in vivo biological performance. In order to improve the processability of conductive polyurethane (CPU) containing aniline oligomers, a new CPU containing aniline trimer (AT) and l‐lysine (PUAT) are designed and synthesized. Further, the 3D porous PUAT membranes have been prepared by a simple gel cooperated with freeze‐drying method. Chemical testings and conductive properties testify a self‐ doping model of PUAT based on the rich electronic l‐lysine and electroaffinity AT moities. The self‐doping behavior further endows the PUAT copolymers specific characteristics such as high electrical conductivity and the formation of the polaron lattice like‐structure in good solvent dimethyl sulfoxide. The combination of organogel and freeze‐drying could prevent the collapse of pore structure when the copolymers are molded as membranes. The synergistic effect of l‐lysine and AT components has a strong influence on the dissolution, degradation, thermal stability, and mechanical properties of PUAT. In this study, zirconia containing refractory samples were decomposed by dilute nitric acid. The chloride ion content in the leaching solution was determined by thiocyanate spectrophotometry. The influences of the leaching method of the sample pretreatment and the coloration condition of the solution to be tested on the test results were studied. The precision test was carried out and the results were compared with those determined by ion chromatography. The results showed that the zirconia containing refractories were boiled with dilute nitric acid to obtain the test solution. The influence of zirconium hydrolysis on determination was removed by centrifugation. The chlorine contents in zirconia containing refractories determined by spectrophotometry have low relative standard deviation (RSD), showing slight testing difference with those determined by ion chromatograghy. To solve the high instances of failure caused by endodontic reinfection, herein, an improved root filling material was produced to meet the multi-functional demand of sealers for root canal therapy. In this study, polyurethane (PU)-based nanocomposites were prepared by loading bismuth oxide, hydroxyapatite and antibacterial agents, namely Ag3PO4 and ZnO nanoparticles, which were named CP-Ag and CP-Zn sealers, respectively. A parallel biological evaluation at bacterial and cellular levels was performed to determine the fate of the different components of the PU-based sealers. Furthermore, the composition of sealers was quantified by screening their antibacterial activity and apoptotic factors, considering the potential toxicity of the nanoparticles and high dosage of metals. The in vitro optimization investigation was conducted systematically against Streptococcus mutans and Staphylococcus aureus, including bacteriostatic and dynamic tests, and the expression of the B-cell lymphoma-2 gene family and caspase proteases in the mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway was evaluated using the commercial AH Plus® and Apexit® Plus sealers for comparison. Additionally, the physical properties and sealing ability of sealers were assessed. The results showed that all PU-based sealers could meet the requirements of ISO 6876:2012 for root canal sealing materials. Based on the evaluation system, CP-Zn sealers expressed longer lasting antibacterial activity and lower toxic effect on cells compared to CP-Ag sealers. Especially, the CP-Zn5 sealer exhibited selective antimicrobial efficacy and hypo-toxicity, which were better than that of the two commercial sealers. According to the two-dimensional and three-dimensional methods, the good sealing ability of the CP-Zn5 sealer is the same as the excellent filling characters of AH Plus, which adapts to irregular root canals. As a pervasive, material element of the global, plastics raise potent social and environmental questions. More than merely the "stuff" of potential global prosperity, plastics are substances that people inscribe with varied cultural meanings. Deploying four conceptual "entry points" for global research, we explore how global plastics have become not only a site of an emergent socioecological crisis but themselves a point of leverage for a more humanized globalization. We approach the problem first as an exercise in reframing, shifting our viewpoint away from debates on waste to re-examine ideas of culture and symbolism. Then, working through the entry points of the particular, materiality and affect, we ground our argument in examples from the contemporary pandemic response, earlier ethnographic work, and our own ethnographic projects. We show how plastics have failed people's desires for a durable modernity, but nonetheless come to shape the ways they feel and think about themselves and each other as sharing responsibility for a global world. Lentinula edodes, one of the most popular, edible mushroom species with a high content of proteins and polysaccharides as well as unique aroma, is widely cultivated in many Asian countries, especially in China, Japan and Korea. As a white rot fungus with lignocellulose degradation ability, L. edodes has the potential for application in the utilization of agriculture straw resources. Here, we report its 41.8-Mb genome, encoding 14,889 predicted genes. Through a phylogenetic analysis with model species of fungi, the evolutionary divergence time of L. edodes and Gymnopus luxurians was estimated to be 39 MYA. The carbohydrate-active enzyme genes in L. edodes were compared with those of the other 25 fungal species, and 101 lignocellulolytic enzymes were identified in L. edodes, similar to other white rot fungi. Transcriptome analysis showed that the expression of genes encoding two cellulases and 16 transcription factor was up-regulated when mycelia were cultivated for 120 minutes in cellulose medium versus glucose medium. Our results will foster a better understanding of the molecular mechanism of lignocellulose degradation and provide the basis for partial replacement of wood sawdust with agricultural wastes in L. edodes cultivation. The article presents a study on the properties of green and self-lubricating poloxymethylene (POM) composite materials with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and rice husk flour (RHF). For the study, researchers conducted X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. They found that the inclusion of the filler lessened the crystallinity degree of the POM composites. They found that the POM composite filled with LDPE and RHF could be potentially used for tribological applications.

Abstract.For differential privacy under sub-Gamma noise, we derive the asymptotic properties of a class of network models with binary values with a general link function. In this article, we release the degree sequences of the binary networks under a general noisy mechanism, with the discrete Laplace mechanism as a special case. We establish the asymptotic result, including both consistency and asymptotically normality, of the parameter estimator when the number of parameters goes to infinity in a class of network models. Endogenous formaldehyde is generated as a normal metabolite via bio-catalysis of γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and L-cysteine sulfoxide lyase (C-S lyase) during the growth and development of Lentinula edodes. In this study, we investigated the mRNA and protein expression levels, the activities of GGT and C-S lyase, and the endogenous formaldehyde content in L. edodes at different growth stages. With the growth of L. edodes, a decrease was found in the mRNA and protein expression levels of GGT, while an increase was observed in the mRNA and protein expression levels of C-S lyase as well as the activities of GGT and C-S lyase. Our results revealed for the first time a positive relationship of formaldehyde content with the expression levels of Csl (encoding Lecsl) and Lecsl (C-S lyase protein of Lentinula edodes) as well as the enzyme activities of C-S lyase and GGT during the growth of L. edodes.
