The success of any degree program being delivered by higher education institutions is measured using the employment performance of its graduates as they navigate the dynamic labor market after completion of their studies. The tool used to gauge this metric is known as a graduate tracer study. Thus, this explanatory sequential mixed methods study may provide the graduate school the baseline employment information, the extent of practice of program competencies and demonstration of graduate attributes of business management major graduates spanning the years 2017-2021 and their level of satisfaction with the graduate programs. The results revealed that outcomes were achieved by the graduates as the graduate degree contributes to their development of competencies and these graduates were extremely satisfied with the delivery and implementation of the programs. They also demonstrated the attributes in their workplace. The results of the study are consistent with the emerging framework of the quality delivery of business graduate programs. It upholds that the satisfaction of the graduates in the delivery, and instruction of the programs, will result in the development of competencies, unlocking of knowledge, skills, and abilities and improve the social and economic status of the graduates.

Physical education (PE) develops students' motor skills, knowledge, and behaviors for active living. As such, individuals need to participate in various physical activities (PA) which contribute to a healthy lifestyle. But many PE programs fail to bring the actual value of a lifetime PA and fitness. Therefore, there should be extended scientific research that promotes participation level as a health intervention that will promote health and wellness. Through this, an exploratory-sequential mixed method inquiry was utilized to gather insights of senior high school PE teachers towards the development of physical activity plan (PAP). Likewise, the remaining senior high school PE teachers in the province assessed the degree of alignment of the PAP in the most essential learning competencies in PE, and the degree of the practical application of the developed PAP in PE instruction. The qualitative results summarized the general ideas of PE teachers regarding the PAP. They have specific suggestions on what topics, PA, and classroom assessment tools should be included in the plan related to the competencies in PE 1, PE 2, PE 3, and PE 4. As such, a series of performance rubrics have been attached to the plan. Moreover, the quantitative results revealed that the developed PAP has a high degree of alignment with the current competencies in the senior high school PE curriculum. Likewise, the developed PAP has a high degree of practical application in PE instruction. Integrating the data in the two phases of the data collection, showed that the developed PAP can be implemented in the senior high school PE curriculum. As such, the PAP may be utilized as the baseline for PE teachers for implementation. Moreover, future researchers may address the limitations of the conducted study.

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) empowers individuals from non-English-speaking countries to acquire English proficiency and opens the doors to countless opportunities. This applies to Japanese third-age learners enrolled in EFL programs for various reasons. However, EFL teachers face challenges in tailoring programs to the diverse needs of third-age learners. Using explanatory sequential inquiry, this study assessed the English proficiency level of Japanese third-age learners engaged in the EFL programs in five cities in Japan. The quantitative phase revealed that the English language proficiency (ELP) level of Japanese third-age learners as a whole is B1 or Intermediate. The rank biserial correlation coefficient shows a significant relationship between sex and ELP. The Spearman rank correlation shows a significant relationship between the third-age learners' ELP and age, educational background, and hours spent learning English per week. The qualitative phase revealed an affirmation of the quantitative findings through the two major themes (motivational factors and factors affecting ELP) generated from the participants' thick descriptions of their experiences. Integrating quantitative and qualitative findings resulted in several meta-inferences and emerging frameworks. It concluded that the ELP development among third-age learners is multifaceted. The complex interplay of sex dynamics, cultural norms, age, motivation, experiences, and learning mechanisms in promoting ELP must be considered. Lastly, the findings served as a foundational reference for designing and developing instructional materials (IMs) for Japanese third-age learners, potentially enhancing their EFL learning experience. This study examined the transformational leadership and work engagement of 169 public school heads. It also sought an in-depth explanation of their transformational leadership and work engagement experiences. The sample was stratified, and the multifactor leadership questionnaire and Utrecht work engagement scale were used. Semi-structured interviews collected the qualitative data. In selecting 10 participants, maximum variation was employed. School heads' transformational leadership was great, and administrative experience correlated with it. Meanwhile, they had a very great work engagement. Their transformational leadership was associated with their work engagement. The qualitative phase generated four themes: values at the heart of a transformational leader; experience at the heart of shaping transformational leadership knowledge and skills; passion at the heart of a transformational leader; and organizational change and accomplishments mirror the influence of school heads' transformational leadership to work engagement. As a result, they transformed their organizations and achieved success. Their leadership style stimulated motivation, consideration, idealized influence, and intellectual stimulation among teachers. This study examined the socioeconomic demographics and health status of residents in a hinterland community in Guihulngan City, Negros Island, Philippines. The research utilized the RAND 36-Item Health Survey to collect data from 163 household heads, measuring eight health concepts: physical functioning, bodily pain, role limitations (physical and emotional), emotional well-being, social functioning, energy/fatigue, and overall health perceptions. The findings revealed that the community faces socioeconomic challenges, including low educational attainment, limited employment opportunities, and reliance on government assistance. Despite these challenges, residents reported good overall health status, highlighting the potential influence of factors beyond socioeconomic demographics, such as lifestyle choices, social support, and access to healthcare. The study also identified variations in health status based on age, employment status, family monthly income, and weight, emphasizing the complex interplay of various social determinants. The research concludes by emphasizing the need for targeted interventions that address the specific needs of vulnerable groups and promote health equity in hinterland communities. This phenomenological study explores the lived experiences of non-Catholic graduating students at a Catholic university in Bacolod City, Philippines. The research aimed to understand their insights and perspectives on studying within a Catholic institution. The study involved in-depth interviews with eight participants from diverse religious backgrounds. The findings revealed four key themes: spiritual growth, community and inclusivity, personal growth and resilience, and academic excellence and holistic development. The study highlights the positive impact of the university's inclusive environment, fostering spiritual growth through interfaith dialogue and religious education. The emphasis on community and shared values creates a sense of belonging and acceptance for non-Catholic students. The university's rigorous academic programs and supportive community contribute to personal growth, resilience, and academic excellence. Student satisfaction is a crucial indicator of educational quality, extending beyond mere comfort. Hence, this paper examined the college student satisfaction with selected school services at a Catholic institution in Southern Negros Occidental during 2023-2024 in the light of product, price, promotion, place, people, process, and physical evidence relative to sex, academic program, year level, or family income. Likewise, it also investigated the significant difference in their satisfaction when grouped according to the demographics. Using the quantitative design, this was assessed by 328 college students. It employed the modified questionnaire of 7Ps marketing framework which underwent rigorous validation and reliability testing. In data analysis, it utilized mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U test, and Kruskal Wallis. This also adhered to the ethical guidelines of the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board. Generally, the students are highly satisfied with the selected school services relative to the 7Ps. In terms of sex, there were significant differences in product, price, promotion, people, and physical evidence. In income, all 7Ps were found to have significant differences. In year level, people and process were found to have significant differences. In academic program, there were significant differences in terms of product, price, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. Hence, these findings imply the importance of customizing service delivery to meet the unique needs and expectations of diverse student groups. Also, these findings collectively underscore the need for a comprehensive and detailed understanding of student satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individual differences and addressing specific concerns to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment. The study investigated compassion fatigue (CF) and workplace well-being among healthcare professionals in a Level II government hospital in Western Visayas, Philippines. The research aimed to identify potential variations in CF and well-being based on demographics and work-related factors, and to assess the relationship between these two constructs. The study utilized the Compassion Satisfaction and Fatigue Test (CSFT) and the Short Smith Wellbeing (SWELL) Questionnaire for Workers to measure CF and workplace well-being, respectively. The findings revealed that healthcare professionals generally reported low levels of CF and high levels of workplace well-being, regardless of their demographic characteristics or work-related factors. However, significant differences in CF were observed based on age and civil status, with younger and single individuals reporting higher levels of CF. The study also found no significant relationship between CF and workplace well-being, suggesting that other factors may play a more crucial role in influencing well-being. The research concludes by highlighting the importance of addressing CF and promoting workplace well-being among healthcare professionals, particularly those who are younger and single. Comorbid Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) pose significant clinical challenges due to their complex and intertwined symptoms. This study examined the effectiveness of integrative biopsychosocial therapy in treating these conditions in a female participant, aiming to improve anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, and overall psychological well-being. Using an experimental approach, an ABA single-subject reversal design was employed. The participant received tailored integrative biopsychosocial therapy and data were analyzed visually. Initially symptomatic of MDD and PTSD, the participant showed improvements in mood regulation, relational indicators, and cognitive functioning during the intervention. Quantitative data indicated substantial reductions in anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbance, confirming the therapy's effectiveness. However, PTSD symptoms showed variability, indicating the need for ongoing support. The study highlights the safety and effectiveness of integrative biopsychosocial therapy in enhancing mood, relational stability, and cognitive function in individuals with comorbid depression and PTSD. Future research should address sample diversity, extend baseline periods, and tailor PTSD interventions to optimize outcomes and expand evidence-based practices. Limitations include the small sample size and the need for longer-term follow-up to assess sustained effects. This study investigated the effectiveness of Integrated Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a supplementary intervention for individuals with depressive symptoms in the Philippines. The study employed an A-B Single Case - Multiple-subject Comparative Design with three female participants diagnosed with depression. The intervention, administered by an Internationally Certified Master Practitioner of NLP, utilized various NLP techniques, including the Meta Model, reframing, anchoring, Timeline Therapy®, and hypnotherapy, over four weekly sessions. The Hopkins Symptom Checklist (HSCL) and the Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire (ATQ-30) were used to assess changes in depressive symptoms before and after the intervention. The results showed significant reductions in depressive symptoms across all participants, particularly in areas related to negative self-concept, negative expectations, and low self-esteem. The study highlights the potential of Integrated-NLP as a supplementary intervention for individuals with depression, emphasizing the importance of personalized approaches and further research in this field. The pandemic era has directed a new facade of education from traditional to a more conducive system of virtual and modular schemes. The Guidance Designates are equally tasked to play a crucial part in this abrupt transition as the teachers. They, too, are directed to maintain relationships on top of the delivery of guidance and counseling services at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to meet the needs of students and families and let the education roll. This descriptive phenomenological study was conducted to explore the lived experiences of public junior high school guidance designates in the delivery of guidance and counseling services during the pandemic. The participants of this study were five guidance designates in public junior high schools identified using purposive sampling who took part in the unstructured in-depth interview. The study revealed that guidance designates faced issues, struggles, and sentiments in the delivery of guidance services during the time of pandemic. They utilized various alternatives for the delivery of appropriate services to clients despite unreachable ones. Despite their feelings of boredom and loneliness, they found meaning in their chosen profession by becoming grateful for the designation, and their commitment to serving the clients ignited the passion to go on despite the odds. Their enjoyment with colleagues acts as their strong social support during the crucial times of the pandemic. The EFL (English as a Foreign Language) participation and engagement of third-age learners, whose ages range from 50 up to 70 and above has received global attention. Japanese third-age learners' pursuit of English competence exhibits broader societal trends and personal desires for lifelong learning. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational approach, the study assessed the level of English language proficiency (ELP) of 59 Japanese third-age learners registered in the 2023-2024 EFL program in five cities of Aichi prefecture, Japan, when they were taken as a whole and when they were demographically grouped by sex, age, educational background, and weekly average study time. The results show that on average, third-age learners in Japan achieve an intermediate level of English proficiency or B1, with variances observed attributed to demographic criteria such as sex, age, educational background, and weekly English study time. The study found a significant relationship between ELP and the respondents' demographic, indicating that ELP levels are influenced by sex, age, educational attainment, and the number of hours spent learning English per week, with males showing higher proficiency and older learners generally showing higher levels. The study underscores the need for tailored English language instruction for third-age learners, taking into account their specific demographics. It also considers the policy implications of institutionalizing programs for third-age learners in Japan, aiming to promote active aging, social integration, and overall well-being. Twenty-first-century teaching skills are necessary to meet the demands of the 21st-century educational curriculum. Anchored on the framework of 21st century learning and partnership for 21st century skills, this study assessed the teachers' practice of 21st century teaching skills among Chinese schools in Central Philippines in terms of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity and innovation, self-direction, making global connections, making local connections, and using technology as a tool for learning relative to their age, sex, educational attainment, years of teaching, and designation. Likewise, it compared their teaching skills assessment when grouped to demographics. Using the quantitative design, the 112 stratified randomly sampled teachers responded to the standardized questionnaire. It was responded using very great to very poor extent. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. Meanwhile, the researcher adhered to the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB). Generally, their teaching skills extent was great. Also, there was no difference in their age, sex, educational attainment, and years of teaching. However, there was a difference in designation where high school rated higher than elementary teachers. Hence, trainings are essential in continuously improving in 21st century teaching skills. Archive document scanning refers to the procedure of converting physical paper records into digital formats, such as images or text files, and establishing a systematic workflow to preserve and access these archived files electronically over an extended period [1]. With the growing acceptance of mobility and digitalization worldwide, institutions such as libraries, government offices, museums, and universities are increasingly adopting document scanning as means to safeguard and preserve historical documents and records. This approach is particularly valuable in preventing the natural degradation and aging of physical documents, as highlighted by Scan2Archive [2]. The purpose of the Admission and Registrar Office (ARO) Mobile Document Scanner with Archiving System is to support the registrar's office in managing student requests and admissions as well as handling the documents that are presented during the enrollment. The office of the registrar will experience a transformation in document handling with the development of a document archiving system, which will promote operational excellence, security, and transparency. With the help of this system, the office's procedures for managing vital records--such as student transcripts, enrollment requirements, and other important paperwork--will be completely transformed. The basis for the development of the system is transforming paper-based records into a digitally accessible format. In evaluating the effectiveness of the application and the system's operation it specified the performance requirements for the software evaluation. The star topology was used as part of the communication interfaces. The thirty (30) respondents tabulated the data in each of the different features of the system are accuracy, user-friendliness, reliability, operability, learning reinforcement, interactivity, compatibility, and the cross-platform environment was rated as "excellent". An IntelliSchool: A Student Information System (SIS) for Senior High School (SHS) is a software application intended to oversee and simplify different aspects of student-related academic information efficiently. This study aimed to ensure data accuracy and consistency, develop a paperless and web-based class record, ensure fairness and transparency in generating forms, and enhance parent-school communication and involvement by incorporating a messaging system. Descriptive-developmental approach was employed in this study. Interviews and direct observation of transaction processes were used as data collection methods in developmental approach. The software development life cycle (SDLC) adopted was Rapid Application Development (RAD), encompassing stages from requirements planning, user design, development, and system launch. The system was developed using Code Igniter PHP Framework, MySql, JQuery, and Code Espresso SMS Gateway technologies. In descriptive approach, test case to check systems functionality and Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) were administered sequentially to 5 IT experts and 35 end-users. In data analysis, standard mean was employed. The test case obtained "passed" rating. In PSSUQ, overall mean is 1.21 across system usefulness, interface quality, and information quality. The system has undergone pilot implementation through locally hosted network infrastructure, fulfilling its intended nature and purpose. Catechists play a significant role in the church's evangelization. Despite the numerous problems they experienced, they remained faithful to their vocation. Thus, this phenomenological study intends to explore the lived experiences of the parish catechists teaching religion in public schools. Using a purposive sampling method, the data were gathered from six conversation partners coming from the north, south, and central of the diocese through an unstructured in-depth interview. There was only one overarching question and probing questions were asked to cull out significant information. The data were analyzed using recursive textual analysis adopting the framework of Lichtman's 3C's. The findings of the study reveal that in teaching religion in public schools, catechists found meaning in their vocation, encountered numerous challenges in their teaching ministry, utilized different strategies in overcoming the challenges, and experienced joy in teaching religion. Generally, they are happy and committed in their teaching ministry despite the challenges they encountered. The 4Ps aim to strengthen the social protection system and reduce poverty in Philippines. Thus, this determined the 4Ps compliance in health and nutrition and education in a component city in Southern Negros Occidental, Philippines as assessed by the implementers and exit beneficiaries relative to designation and beneficiary location. It also profiled the livelihood support among beneficiaries in terms of medium enterprise development and employment facilitation. Likewise, it identified the challenges in the 4Ps implementation. Also, it investigated the difference in the compliance when grouped to demographics. Using the descriptivecomparative design, 151 implementers and 270 beneficiaries responded to the researcher-made questionnaire and checklist. In analysis, mean, standard deviation, and Kruskal Wallis were employed. Meanwhile, the researcher adhered to the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board. Generally, the compliance is very great. Regarding the livelihood support, few beneficiaries received the seed capital of P15,000.00 and employment facilitation fund of P5,000.00. The lack of vehicle, supplies, venue, and inaccessible roads were among the logistics and personnel issues. In knowledge and communication, challenges are on illiteracy, language barrier, lack of training on family and child-related issues. The inability to use ATM cards and pawning were issues too. Meanwhile, there was no difference in the compliance when grouped to demographics. Hence, the findings are instrumental in the continuous improvement of the program's compliance. This explanatory sequential inquiry determined the contribution of graduate education to the development of skills, the satisfaction with the delivery of the graduate school program and services, and the practice of graduate attributes of the graduates of education graduate programs of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Graduate School. Likewise, it explored deeper insights on the quantitative data to generate a broader perspective on the graduates' experiences on the contributions of the graduate school to the development of their skills, satisfaction with the delivery of programs and services, and graduate attribute practice. The participants were the graduates of education graduate programs during 2018-2022 and determined using purposive sampling. In data gathering, survey questionnaire and semi-structured in-depth interview were employed. In analyzing the data, mean and standard deviation were utilized in the quantitative analysis while Lichtman's (2013) 3C's were used in the qualitative data. The data revealed a very great extent of the contribution of graduate studies, extremely satisfied with the delivery, and a very great extent of graduate attribute practice. Meanwhile, the qualitative data presented salient findings. The graduate education experiences provide the development of their competencies, knowledge, skills, and attributes, which leads to better opportunities in their profession. Also, their satisfaction develops their attributes of humility, Christian values, integrity, love, and the quest for excellence, thus forming values essential to the practice of profession and life in general. Moreover, this study validated that tracer studies could assist the graduate school in complying with the accreditation and quality assurance measure requirements for a quality management system. Furthermore, the satisfaction of graduates encourages continual improvement towards engaging the alumni in open, mutually beneficial ways and spreading knowledge to uplift others and positively use their influence to impact the community, the country, and the world. Conflict is manageable when paired with reason and experience. Using explanatory sequential mixed-method, this study determined the extent of practice and explored the insights and experiences of school heads in conflict management styles. For the quantitative phase, frequency count, percentage distribution, mean, spearman rank correlation, and rank biserial were used. The results revealed that school heads generally practiced conflict management styles to a great extent. This means that the five conflict management styles were often observed by the school heads. Meanwhile, both temperament types and demographics do not influence conflict management styles which were also supported by the qualitative results through Lichtman's three Cs: coding, categorizing, and conceptualizing. Thus, in the practice of conflict management, school heads vary in terms of their perspectives, while reasons serve as guiding principles coupled with appropriate approaches. Moreover, it is the administrative experience that really matters in conflict management, not necessarily generational age, sex, and educational attainment. Community outreach serves as a core function of higher education institutions which helps promote sustainable development goals worldwide. In the Philippines, universities have been mandated to provide extension activities and reach the most vulnerable communities in the country. Thus, the study used descriptive, comparative, and correlational approaches to determine the level of awareness, the extent of involvement, the degree of motivation, and the challenges in community outreach in a Catholic Higher Education Institution in the areas of spiritual-moral, education, sociocultural, health, economic, and environment. Using stratified random sampling, 459 students, faculty, and administrators participated in the study through a modified-standardized instrument. Mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage distribution, Kruskal Wallis, and Spearman rank were used to analyze the data. The findings of the study unveiled that the respondents of the university have a very high level of awareness, a moderate extent of involvement, and a very high degree of motivation. The topmost challenge is time constraints. This signifies that members of the academic units are generally very aware of and highly motivated in community outreach, but involvement has yet to be enhanced. The immediate transitioning of instructional delivery from the traditional face-to-face teaching to online learning prompted college instructors to design pedagogical strategies and assessment tools appropriate for the online learning environment. Instructional strategies and assessments in teaching Social Science general education courses online in the context of state universities and colleges (SUCs) however have not been previously established. Anchoring on social constructivism, post-positivism, and pragmatism, this qualitative inquiry was conducted to determine the teaching methods and assessments employed by social science instructors in SUCs in teaching Readings in Philippine History and Life and Works of Rizal online. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 7 social science instructors from 6 SUCs. Member checking and audit trail by a qualitative research expert were used for data trustworthiness and Lichtman’s 3 Cs was used for data analysis. The qualitative inquiry revealed 7 major themes for online instructional strategies: blended learning activities; synchronous online activities; interactive lecture discussion; group reporting; short videos and films presentation; use of modules in print and soft copy; and advanced readings. Likewise, 5 themes for online assessment were identified: objective test; subjective test; term examination; group projects; and output-making. Results of the study revealed that the instructional strategies and assessments used are constructively aligned with the learning outcomes set in the CHED-prescribed course syllabus but are still the traditional types. Education does not only allow for the exploration of every aspect of life but as well as have a longing for knowledge and the desire to take this learning to the next level. Thus, the teacher's role in the teaching and learning process is vital. However, that delivery of the instruction towards the learners is a big challenge for the teachers who are handling Multi-grade teaching in this new normal. Multi-grade teaching is a situation in which one teacher has to teach many grade levels, all at the same time. Thus, the paper explores the lived experiences of Multi-Grade Teachers in public elementary school in the time of pandemic. Aided by a phenomenological research approach, the data were gathered from purposively sampled participants using face-to-face and online interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis devised by Lichtman. The findings reveal semblance in the participants' views and practices in multi-grade teaching during the pandemic. COVID-19 pandemic reshapes the use of technology and innovation in an organization. Organizations are adopting and utilizing technologies in their day-to-day operations. Information Systems offer a wide range of solutions in terms of data management and interconnecting people with the use of a system. Its use was proven to enhance and improve the productivity of an organization in this pandemic. These promising results led the researcher to develop the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Negros Occidental Contact Tracer Information Management System (CTIMS). The CTIMS is a web application that enables DILG Negros Occidental Personnel to manage and facilitate all DILG Hired-Contact Tracers (CT) in the Province of Negros Occidental. The automated system made the data collection easy and error-free, streamlined reporting, and eliminated the time-consuming process of consolidating the Accomplishment Reports (ARs) from the Field and Provincial Offices. The document tracker feature replaced the manual entry in the logbook. It also improved the received and released document reporting. It improved the processes of the CT Task team compared to the manual operations and is expected to increase the productivity, effectivity, and efficiency of DILG Negros Occidental. This paper primarily described and correlated the extent of practice of the workplace core values and the degree of organizational commitment of teachers of a Catholic University in the Philippines. Likewise, it explored whether a significant difference existed in the respondents' practice of the workplace core values and organizational commitment. Using a descriptive-comparative and correlational research design, the data were collected using survey questionnaires. The major findings of the study revealed that the respondents demonstrated a very high extent of practice of the workplace core values and indicated a dominant affective organizational commitment. No significant difference was found in both their practice of the workplace core values and their degree of organizational commitment. However, the results posited a relationship between workplace core values and organizational commitment. Using the sequential explanatory mixed-method, this paper investigated the levels of teaching standards competence and efficiency performance of basic education teachers of a comprehensive Catholic university, and their lived experiences on teaching competence and efficiency. The data were generated using the self-administered questionnaires of the National Competency-Based Teaching Standards (NCBTS) and Efficiency Performance Rating (EPR). Further, the qualitative data were collected using an unstructured interview. The major findings of the study revealed that teachers have an experienced teaching standards competence and satisfactory efficiency performance. Results further showed no significant relationship between teaching standards competence and efficiency performance. The narratives of the participants revealed that teacher's competence and efficiency are indicators of the quality of instruction.
