Background: Chronic pelvic pain is defined by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as chronic pain originates from the pelvic organs typically lasting more than 6 months caused by dilatation of the ovarian and/or pelvic veins (Hagag et al. in Egypt J Surg 41(3):1334–1344, 2022). Results: Transabdominal and transvaginal duplex and leak points assessment ultrasonography were performed to fifty female patients with pelvic venous congestion symptoms referred by their physicians. Results were compared with conventional venography. It showed that transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) was highly concordant with the conventional method, while Transabdominal ultrasound (TAUS) was less concordant with the conventional method, especially for the left side. As regards assessing the reflux of the right ovarian vein. The sensitivity of the test is 92.31%, and the specificity was 97.3%, indicating high diagnostic power of TVUS. As for detecting left ovarian vein reflux showed sensitivity (97.44%) and specificity (81.82%). Excellent diagnostic performance of assessing reflux of right internal iliac vein (IIV) with sensitivity and specificity 100%. The sensitivity was 100% and specificity was 97.22%, with outstanding diagnostic performance in assessing the reflux of left IIV. The sensitivity was 100% and specificity was 90.63%, indicating excellent diagnostic performance of US for perineal leak 88.89% and 92.68% for inguinal leak, 66.67% and 95.74% for gluteal leak, and 40% and 100% for obturator leak point. Conclusion: TVUS is a very useful noninvasive diagnostic tool in treatment of pelvic venous congestion, with a very beneficial complementary TAUS, and assessment of pelvic leak points. Background: Women's breast cancer is considered a serious public health issue. throughout the world. For asymptomatic women, digital mammography is the primary imaging modality used for breast cancer screening. It also has been shown to reduce breast cancer mortality. Digital breast tomosynthesis provides better detection of the abnormalities especially in females with dense breasts. Aim: to evaluate the impact of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) in comparison to digital mammography (DM) in improving the detection and characterization of breast cancer across the dense and non-dense breasts (according to BI-RADS Atlas) in correlation with ultrasound and histopathology. Material & Method: This study included 100 female patients according to our inclusion criteria. All patients performed fullfield digital mammography (FFDM) and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) were classified according to breast density. To establish a correlation between mammographic findings and cancer diagnosis, high-resolution ultrasound (HHUS) and DBT were used following FFDM as the primary imaging modality. The cancer diagnosis was subsequently confirmed by histopathology. Results: The current study was based on histopathology as a reference standard, This was correlated with the final diagnosis; the diagnostic indices of mammography at the whole group were a sensitivity of 73.9%, a specificity of 74.3%, a positive predictive value (PPV) 84.2%, a negative predictive value (NPV) of 60.5%, and a diagnostic accuracy of 74%. Diagnostic indices of DBT were a sensitivity of 100%, a specificity of 88.6%, a PPV of 94.2%, an NPV of 100%, and a diagnostic accuracy of 96%. In patients with dense breasts Radiology ACR (c and d), 78% of cases had changed their BI-RADS scoring with the addition of tomosynthesis. However, in 54% of individuals with non-dense breast ACR (a and b), the addition of DBT to FFDM changed the BIRADS score. Background: Laryngoscopy is widely considered the most appropriate tool for evaluating the larynx, however, it is invasive and not all patients can tolerate it. Although laryngeal ultrasound has been proposed as a promising noninvasive technique that can play an important role in laryngeal imaging, there is lack of consensus regarding its role. Objective: The aim of this study is to assess laryngeal ultrasound sensitivity compared to indirect laryngoscopy in screening for laryngeal diseases in symptomatic patients. Patients and methods: 30 undiagnosed symptomatic patients underwent laryngeal ultrasound and indirect laryngoscopy. Their results were compared. Results: Technical success rate of laryngeal ultrasound was (83%). It showed overall sensitivity of (78.9%) in detecting organic laryngeal diseases with high sensitivity in detecting laryngeal masses, reinke’s edema, vocal cord cysts and polyps (100%), vocal cord palsy (83.3%), intermediate sensitivity for vocal cord nodules (66.7%), and poor sensitivity for laryngitis and non organic voice disorders (0%). Conclusion: Laryngeal ultrasound is a useful non invasive imaging tool that can be used with acceptable sensitivity in detecting organic laryngeal diseases excluding laryngitis, hindered mainly by complete thyroid cartilage calcification in older males. Consequently we recommend its use as complementary to clinical examination and mirror laryngoscopy, or as an alternative to indirect laryngoscopy when required and in routine neck ultrasound exams when appropriate. Purpose of this study is: to evaluate the role of computed tomography perfusion and computed tomography triphasic in assessment of hepatic focal lesions. Methods: The study included 43 patients (between 30 to 60 years old) referred from radiodiagnosis department. Each patient included in the study was subjected to full history taking and availability of the previous studies. Results: The study showed that CT perfusion revealed more accurate results than CT triphasic. Conclusion: The current application of CT perfusion to patient with hepatic focal lesions showed that it enhanced our understanding of the disease diagnosis staging, prognostic evaluation and monitoring therapeutic response.
