Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the vital link between manufacturing firms and the environment, delving into the intricate connections among factors affecting these firms. Specifically, it investigates how the environmental performance of manufacturing firms is shaped by their adoption of environmental management practices and the regulatory environment in which they operate. Design/methodology/approach: Data are currently being collected through a structured questionnaire from employees working in manufacturing firms in Pakistan. Random sampling was used to select the participants. The hypotheses were tested using PLS-SEM analysis. Findings: The study reveals a positive correlation between green manufacturing practices and superior environmental performance. Effective environmental management systems further help firms reduce their environmental footprint. External environmental regulations play a significant role as moderators, influencing the strength and direction of the relationship between green manufacturing, environmental management and environmental performance. Practical implications: The practical implications offer valuable insights and guidance for manufacturing companies seeking to improve their environmental responsibility and performance. Additionally, policymakers gain insights into how regulatory frameworks can be designed or modified to better support sustainability efforts within the manufacturing sector. This study aimed to investigate the influence of green supply chain management practices on the environmental performance of manufacturing firms, with a specific focus on understanding how institutional pressure moderated this relationship. The research design encompassed a holistic approach, incorporating an in-depth examination of the current literature and data collection via a well-structured questionnaire. Random sampling was utilized to gather data from manufacturing companies in Pakistan, and the data analysis employed PLS-SEM. The findings revealed a significant relationship between GSCM practices and the environmental performance of manufacturing firms. The objective of this research is to assess the influence of effective supply chain management on the success of transport infrastructure projects, considering the moderating effects of building information modeling (BIM) and environmental factors. Data were collected through questionnaires from construction projects and subjected to analysis to gain insights into the contributions of various supply chain management strategies to the overall performance of transport infrastructure projects, as well as how the presence of BIM and environmental considerations affect this relationship. The data were subjected to analysis using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this investigation revealed a significant impact of supply chain management practices in the construction industry on the performance of transport infrastructure projects, with BIM and environmental considerations acting as moderators in this association. This study holds both practical and theoretical significance, as it contributes to the existing body of knowledge by shedding light on the role of supply chain management in construction and its influence on the success of transport infrastructure projects while also exploring the moderating influence of BIM and environmental factors. The findings provide valuable perspectives for improving supply chain management practices in construction, thereby enhancing the outcomes of transport infrastructure projects. The advent of the novel coronavirus, also called COVID-19, caused widespread disruptions worldwide. This unprecedented health crisis led to major disruptions in supply chain networks; therefore, innovative strategies and capabilities have the potential to alleviate its impacts. Considering this situation, this study examined how COVID-19 impacted management innovation, the information processing capability, business model innovation, knowledge management capability, and sustainable supply chain performance (SSCP) in Pakistan. To test hypotheses, data were collected from companies in Pakistan engaged in supply chain management or supply chain departments within manufacturing companies, and investigations were carried out employing structural equation modeling. Based on empirical results, COVID-19 outbreaks negatively impacted SSCP, but not management innovation, information processing capability, business model innovation, or the knowledge management capability. Additionally, COVID-19 and SSCP are mediated by management innovation, the processing capability, business model innovation, and the knowledge management capability. By underlining the significance of the resource-based view, dynamic capability, and organizational information processing theories, this research contributes to the body of knowledge on sustainable supply chains. The conceptual model presented in this research may be used in supply chain (SC) and logistics management to reduce COVID-19 disruptions in SC operations and boost profitability during a pandemic.
