O presente estudo tem por fim perquirir se a Lei nº 14.112/2020 padece de inconstitucionalidade formal e material na parte que revoga a alínea d, do inciso IV, do art. 83, da Lei nº 11.101/2005 que classificava, no concurso falimentar de credores, dentre os créditos com privilégio especial, aqueles em favor dos microempreendedores individuais e das microempresas e empresas de pequeno porte. A norma revogada havia sido incluída na lei de recuperação e falência de empresas pela Lei Complementar nº 147/2014 em atenção ao princípio da tutela à pequena empresa, consagrado na Constituição Federal de 1988 nos arts. 170, inciso IX e 179. O fato inspirou as seguintes questões: a Lei Complementar nº 147/2014 atribuiu à pequena empresa condição de crédito de privilégio especial na falência de seus devedores, concedendo-lhe o tratamento favorecido e diferenciado determinado pela Constituição Federal de 1988.Desta forma, poderia a Lei Ordinária nº 14.112/2020 ter revogado a referida condição? A recondução da pequena empresa à condição de credora quirografária, atribuída pela Lei nº 14.112/2020, fere os preceitos derivados do princípio constitucional da tutela à pequena empresa? As premissas iniciais, no sentido de que a revogação padece de inconstitucionalidade justifica a consideração ao final de que a alteração legal em tela contraria a norma segundo a qual as Pequenas Empresas devem ser tratadas de forma favorecida e diferenciada. No aspecto do Direito Constitucional, poderia Lei Ordinária revogar dispositivo de outra Lei Ordinária introduzido por Lei Complementar?

O presente estudo tem por tema a possibilidade de quotas preferencias nas sociedades limitadas sob a ótica do objetivo do sócio quando da celebração do negócio jurídico pelo qual ele se vincula a este tipo societário. Pretende-se escrutinar se há ou pode haver distinção da relação entre o sócio e a sociedade quando o primeiro tem intuito de realizar um investimento de capital sem pretender desenvolver atos de criação ou gestão institucional. O objeto em investigação é constituído pelas formas através das quais o sócio pode se relacionar com a sociedade, como quotista que representará a instituição desenvolvendo atos de idealização ou gestão ou como um quotista meramente investidor que realiza o aporte de capital ansiando por ver seu investimento retornar com acréscimos decorrentes dos resultados positivos advindos da boa prática da atividade empresarial por parte da sociedade a qual se vinculou, característica que não o iguala ao investidor-anjo, já que este não possui com a sociedade vinculo jurídico de sócio. Desta forma, tem-se as seguintes questões: a partir da análise da natureza jurídica da sociedade limitada seria justificável considerar que a vinculação desta com o sócio quotista pode se dar de forma análoga ao acionista preferencialista não votante? Sendo viável a regulamentação da figura do quotista preferencial, sua responsabilidade pelos atos que praticar na condição de sócio seriam alcançáveis pela desconsideração da personalidade jurídica?

The Volta Grande Environmental Unity represents one of the few remnants of Cerrado protected by a reserve in the Triângulo Mineiro region, municipalities of Conceição das Alagoas (19°55' S, 48°23' W) and Miguelópolis (20°12' S, 48°03' W), in the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, respectively. The mammalian fauna of this reserve was inventoried between 2003 and 2004 to generate estimates about taxonomic composition, richness, and abundance of species. A sampling effort of 832 trapping-nights resulted in 24 species recorded. Cumulative curves suggest that the overall inventory is not complete and that more species are likely to be registered. The majority of species recorded is widespread along the Cerrado, but include some noteworthy records of endangered species, such as the Giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) and the Manned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus). The record of the arboreal cricetid rodent Oecomys bicolor represents a slight extension of the southeastern limit of its distribution.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is manifested by abnormal cell numbers and patches of gene expression disruption in higher-order brain regions. Here, we investigated whether layer-specific changes in glia/neuron ratios (GNR) characterize patches in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DL-PFC) of children with ASD. We analyzed high-resolution digital images of postmortem human brains from 11 ASD and 11 non-ASD children obtained from the Autism Study of the Allen Human Brain Atlas. We found the GNR is overall reduced in the ASD DL-PFC. Moreover, layers II-III belonging to patches presented a lower GNR in comparison with layers V-VI. We here provide a new insight into how brain cells are arranged within patches that contributes to elucidate how neurodevelopmental programs are altered in ASD.

Brain aging involves regional alterations of specific cellular subpopulations in the human hippocampus: a network hub for memory consolidation. The present study investigates whether age, sex, education years, and the concentration of neuropathological and inflammatory proteins influence neuronal-type marker expression in the elderly hippocampus. We analyzed the digital images (1 µm/pixel) of postmortem hippocampal sections from 19 non-demented individuals (from 78 to 99 years). This material was obtained from the "Aging Dementia and TBI Study" open database. Brain samples were processed through in situ hybridization (ISH) for the immunodetection of VGLUT1 (glutamatergic transporter) and GAT1 (GABAergic transporter) and mRNAs and Luminex protein quantifications. After image acquisition, we delineated the dentate gyrus, CA 3/2, and CA1 hippocampal subdivisions. Then, we estimated the area fraction in which the ISH markers were expressed. Increased VGLUT1 was observed in multiple hippocampal subfields at late ages. This glutamatergic marker is positively correlated with beta-amyloid and tau proteins and negatively correlated with interleukin-7 levels. Additionally, education years are positively correlated with GAT1 in the hippocampus of elderly women. This GABAergic marker expression is associated with interferon-gamma and brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels. These associations can help to explain how hippocampal sub-regions and neurotransmitter systems undergo distinct physiological changes during normal aging. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
