Paste should be kept in homogeneous state without segregation or weak segregation during pipeline transportation, which can reduce the occurrence of pipe blockage accidents in engineering application. Only when the paste is homogeneous can the paste have good stope fluidity, and the stope fluidity is also restricted by the geometric size of the stope and other factors. Therefore, it is very important to study the homogeneity of paste and analyze the influence of paste rheological characteristics on stope fluidity. In this paper, it is pointed out that the vertical settling velocity of solid phase materials in paste in the liquid-phase dense medium is the main factor affecting the homogeneity of paste. Increasing the plastic viscosity and yield stress of the liquid-phase dense medium is beneficial to increase the drag force of aggregate and then reduce the settling speed of aggregate in the liquid-phase dense medium. On this basis, the homogeneity of paste can be judged. In the simplified paste flow field, using Cauchy stress equation and flow boundary conditions, the relationship between paste stope flow performance and paste rheological properties was analyzed, and the relationship model between the slope angle of paste flow formation and paste rheological properties was established. Using sulfide ore and oxide ore tailings of a tin mine in Yunnan as raw materials, 17 groups of flocculation settling tests were designed by Box-Behnken in Design-Expert software, and the settling velocity and underflow concentration of mixed tailings with sulfur/oxygen ratio of 5 : 5 were studied. The effects of volume concentration, flocculant unit consumption, and flocculant concentration on settling velocity and underflow concentration were explored, and the optimal parameters of settling velocity and underflow concentration were obtained. Results. The best mixing parameters of mixed tailings are volume concentration of 17.66%, flocculant unit consumption of 39.589 g/t, and flocculant concentration of 0.195%. At this time, the settling speed is 2.231 mm/s and the underflow concentration is 65.289%. The flocculation settling velocity under this parameter condition was tested, and the experimental results were consistent with the predicted results of the model. This surface method can be used to design the flocculation and settlement test of mine tailings, which has certain guiding significance for the selection of parameters in actual production of mines. The key problem of paste filling technology lies in whether paste can meet the requirements of stope structural parameters on cementing strength, pipe transportation and mining methods on filling performance. The separated paste will cause serious wear and even pipe blockage in the pipeline transportation process. If the paste is separated in the stope, the strength of the filling body will be uneven, and accidents such as delamination and stacking will occur. The occurrence of these situations is extremely unfavorable to the filling operation. Just as the material determines the performance, in order to ensure the paste has excellent filling performance, it is necessary to systematically study the internal relationship between paste filling materials and filling performance. Paste is a complex suspension system composed of aggregate, water, cementing materials and additives. Compared with traditional low-concentration classified tailings slurry, it has the characteristics of wide particle size distribution, high solid content, strong chemical action on particle surface, etc. Under the interaction of these factors, paste presents macroscopic characteristics such as plasticity and stability. These macroscopic characteristics are embodied in rheology, that is, rheological characteristics of paste. The research shows that the rheological properties of paste are affected by the gradation, concentration and cementing material of filling material, and the change of gradation of filling material has the most significant effect on the rheological properties of paste. The change of the micro-level composition causes the change of the rheological properties of the paste on the macro level, thus causing the change of the paste filling performance. Mine backfill paste is generally composed of tailings and coarse aggregates. In engineering practice, the definitions in fill material classification are vague. In this paper, the size range of ultrafine particles is defined by the Stokes sedimentation test and hydraulic coarseness method. The size range of ultrafine particles is affected not only by the geometric size of the particles but also by the physical characteristics of the particles themselves. This definition has more comprehensive considerations and stricter physical and mathematical significance than the traditional definition of ultrafine particles based only on size. There is a strong correlation between ultrafine particles in fill materials and the rheological properties of the mine backfill paste. In this study, through experiments and correlation analysis, it was found that the content of ultrafine particles is positively correlated with the plastic viscosity of the mine backfill paste, and its growth range is exponential. The coarse aggregate content is positively correlated with the yield stress of the mine backfill paste. A regression analysis model was established for the rheological properties of mine backfill paste. Aimed at the problem to plug the main ore pass with the large collapse at Xingshan Iron Mine, the viscosity-time test and the heap perfusion test of cement-silicate grout in a loose rock mass are carried out. The relationship between the vertical diffusion distance of cement-silicate grout and setting time of grout is studied, and research results are applied to the design of plugging engineering of the main ore pass in -330 m. Based on the numerical simulation of the plugging structure and the long-term stress monitoring of the cable sensors, the stability of the plugging structure itself and the control for the movement of shafts nearby are comprehensively evaluated. The test results show that for a specific loose rock mass, the vertical diffusion distance of cement-silicate grout in the loose rock mass is a power function of grout setting time. Based on the design concept to plug the main ore pass with the large collapse using artificially constructed "bite-bonded arch," the plugging design and construction procedures are proposed. Backfill mining can effectively improve the environment and protect resources. In the filling mining method, the gradation of filling aggregate is the most important aspect. The filling gradation of waste rock + wind sand and waste rock + river sand in the No. 2 mining area of the Jinchuan company was quantitatively described by the fractal equation of filling gradation. The effect of gradation on bonding strength was studied through a laboratory bonding strength test. The results show that the fractal dimension of filling aggregate gradation has a quadratic function relationship with the bonding strength, and there is an optimal extreme value of the bonding strength. In order to reasonably and accurately acquire the settlement interface and velocity of tailings, an identification model of tailing settlement velocity, based on gray images of the settlement process and unsupervised learning, is constructed. Unsupervised learning is used to classify stabilized tailing mortar, and the gray value range of overflow water is determined. Through the identification of overflow water in the settlement process, the interface can be determined, and the settlement velocity of tailings can be calculated. Taking the tailings from a copper mine as an example, the identification of tailings settling velocity was determined. The results show that the identification model of tailing settlement speed based on unsupervised learning can identify the settlement interface, which cannot be manually determined in the initial stage of settlement, effectively avoiding the subjectivity and randomness of manual identification, and provide a more scientific and accurate judgment. For interfaces that can be manually recognized, the model has high recognition accuracy, has a rapid and efficient recognition process, and the relative error can be controlled within 3%.
