A few distinct feed mechanisms can be found in sewing machines. The mechanism that feeds the material into the machine differs in each machine. In lock stitch sewing machines, the mechanism known as the drop feed is the one that is utilized the majority of the time. Its construction includes one presser foot, one throat plate, and one feed dog. Different types of feed dogs can be used in the drop feed mechanism to achieve the desired level of customization. In this study, modification-1, modification-2, and modification-3 were created in an industrial lock stitch machine using feed dogs with 18, 21, and 30 teeth, respectively. These numbers correspond to the number of teeth on the feed dogs. The quality of the seams, such as the seams on garments, was analyzed after each modification of the feed mechanism performed on seams made of the same fabric (Denim fabric). We took measurements of the seam's strength and efficiency as well as its puckering and slippage. It was discovered that the seam quality of garments constructed using modification-1 (one) is superior to that of garments constructed using the other two modifications using the same fabric. Therefore, to finish a specific garment accurately, it is necessary to select the appropriate sewing machine and ensure that it has the ideal feed mechanism.

2D tin chalcogenides are promising materials for thin-film solar cells due to their excellent characteristics. SnS1−xSex alloy films have garnered attention from researchers over the last few decades due to their tunable physical features. Here, we report the successful preparation of SnS1−xSex powder using a temperature-assisted mechanochemical process and their subsequent deposition on glass substrates via thermal evaporation. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy were used to extensively analyse SnS1−xSex thin films, elucidating their structural characteristics. The presence of a ternary alloy has been verified by both energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The absorption spectrum shows that TSSe thin films have great potential for absorbing a wide range of visible light. Hall measurement revealed that n-type TSSe thin films have shown great promise with the highest hall mobility of up to 16.7 cm2 V−1 s−1. Our study demonstrates that TSSe has excellent potential as a 2D material for cutting-edge photovoltaic applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Alloy engineering are efficient methods to improve the physical properties of two‐dimensional (2D) material‐based photovoltaic application. Tin chalcogenide belonging to layered structured semiconducting family has been a significant compound due to its outstanding characteristics. Tin selenide (SnSe) is known as promising layered compound to develop 2D materials for optoelectronic devices. The current study focused onto the effect of tin sulfoselenide (SnSSe) alloy engineering on the structural, morphological, optical, and electrical characteristics. X‐ray Diffraction (XRD) confirmed that SnSSe and SnSe are exist in the orthorhombic crystal structure phase without other secondary phases, with the preferred high‐intensity peak along (111) oriented plane. Raman spectra was reported to give information about the vibrational characteristics of the compounds. The presence of Sulfur ion in SnSSe was further confirmed by Energy Dispersive X‐ray Spectroscopy (EDAX) and X‐ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) analysis. Bandgap energy (Eg) has been analysed by Tauc's plot and the derivative of transmittance spectra. According to both sets of analyses, the bandgap of the SnSSe thin film is considerably smaller than that of the SnSe thin film. Hall measurements indicated that SnSSe exhibits the higher hole mobility. The present work's results offer useful insight into the prospective device applications of two‐dimensional alloy materials. This paper discusses designing an open source software based library discovery system for full-text ETD retrieval on the basis of a cataloguing framework developed by using available global standards and best practices in the domain of theses cataloguing. The purpose of this prototype framework is to provide a single-window search and retrieval system for end users for discovering ETD at metadata level and at full-text level. The prototype framework is based on three-layer architecture with Koha ILS as backend metadata provider, Apache-Tika as full-text extractor and VuFind as discovery system. A MARC-21 bibliographic format, especially designed to handle TDs, is working as data handler mechanism in Koha ILS and the harvester of VuFind is tuned to fetch bibliographic data related to ETD in marcxml format. The user interface of VuFind is also configured to support accessing ETDs from global-scale services like NDLTD, OATD, IndCat, ShodhGanga etc. apart from the local level ETD collection in order to provide an all-in-one search interface for users. Theses and dissertations in print arid electronic format are valuable academic resources. These resources must be available to scholars. Library catalogues serve as resource discovery tools to find these valuable academic documents. In view of the importance of organization and access to these resources, this paper explores cataloguing of theses and dissertations and its retrieval along with other types of documents in an integrated processing environment. The software framework that provides integrated processing and retrieval environment is based on open source software and open standards. Sotrovimab is a recombinant human monoclonal antibody for the early treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID- 19. A phase I, open-label, randomized, parallel-group study was conducted to investigate the pharmacokinetics, relative bioavailability, safety, and tolerability of two concentrations of sotrovimab administered intramuscularly at different injection sites in healthy volunteers. The study consisted of three parts (A, B, and C) and the pharmacokinetic results from Part A are reported herein. In Part A, participants were randomized in a 2:2:1:1 ratio to a 500 mg dose of 62.5 mg/mL sotrovimab administered into dorsogluteal muscle, or 100 mg/mL sotrovimab administered into dorsogluteal, anterolateral thigh, or deltoid muscles. Formulation concentration did not impact exposure following dorsogluteal administration; the point estimates (90% confidence interval [CI]) of the geometric mean ratios (GMRs) of area under the curve (AUC) inf and maximum serum concentration (C max ) for dorsogluteal administration of 100 mg/mL vs. 62.5 mg/mL intramuscular sotrovimab were 0.95 (0.86-1.05) and 1.14 (1.02-1.27), respectively. However, the administration of 100 mg/mL sotrovimab in thigh or deltoid resulted in increased exposure relative to gluteal injections; the point estimates (90% CI) of the GMRs for 100 mg/mL intramuscular sotrovimab administered into thigh or deltoid muscles vs. 100 mg/mL administered dorsogluteally were 1.63 (1.46-1.83) and 1.50 (1.34-1.67) for AUC inf , and 1.82 (1.60-2.08) and 1.49 (1.31-1.69) for C max , respectively. Notably, thigh and deltoid administration also resulted in lower variability in key pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC, C max , apparent clearance and volume of distribution, and earlier achievement of C max , than dorsogluteal intramuscular administration of sotrovimab., (© 2024 GSK and Vir Biotechnology. A phenomenological mean-field theory is presented to describe the role of external magnetic field, pressure and chemical substitution on the nature of ferromagnetic (FM) to paramagnetic (PM) phase transition in manganites. The application of external field (or pressure) shifts the transition, leading to a field (or pressure) dependent phase boundary along which a tricritical point is shown to exist where a first-order FM-PM transition becomes second-order. We show that the effect of chemical substitution on the FM transition is analogous to that of external perturbations (magnetic field and pressure); this includes the existence of a tricritical point at which the order of transition changes. Our theoretical predictions satisfactorily explain the nature of FM-PM transition, observed in several systems. The modeling hypothesis has been critically verified from our experimental data from a wide range of colossal magnetoresistive manganite single crystals like Sm 0.52 Sr 0.48 MnO 3 . The theoretical model prediction of a tricritical point has been validated in this experiment which provides a major ramification of the strength of the model proposed.
