The widely known Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, is the most important representative of the Albanian literature and culture in Spain. "El País" and "ABC", dedicated to Kadare almost all the articles in total, which are related to cultural news on Albania during two decades, 1990-2010. Usually Kadare appears on both newspapers whenever his books are published or republished in Spanish. Both newspapers consider him as "eternal candidate of the Nobel Prize in Literature", "a living genius", "one of the greatest names of the contemporary world literature", " master of prose", similar to Kafka and Borges.
