Due to increased fossil fuel use and fossil fuel limitations, the Indian energy industry is migrating to non-conventional energy resources such as solar power, wind production, and fuel cells. The unpredictability of nonconventional energy sources makes it difficult to balance an electrical system when they are incorporated, necessitating the incorporation of a storage device into the grid. In a microgrid system with wind turbine generation (WTG) and a battery energy storage system (BESS), the BESS may reserve energy during periods of surplus generation and release it to the grid during times of peak demand. The suggested technique establishes the state of charge (SOC) schedule for the BESS by employing an artificial rabbit optimisation (ARO) algorithm that minimises energy costs for customers. The state of health (SOH) of the energy storage is incorporated as an ageing coefficient, which causes the BESS to behave conservatively in order to retain its lifespan. Using a time of use (TOU) tariff, simulation results suggest a substantial possibility to boost the savings of consumers in a grid-connected micro-grid. The deployment of a static synchronous compensator within a microgrid can facilitate voltage and reactive power regulation, leading to enhanced stability and reliability. Within a microgrid setting, the effectiveness of a STATCOM in balancing the power supply is influenced by several factors, including the system configuration, the operating conditions, and the specific requirements of the power grid. The capacity, response time, and magnitude of system disturbances also play a role in determining the STATCOM's ability to balance the power supply. To ensure the successful integration of a STATCOM within a microgrid, coordinating the control system with other distributed energy resources (DER), especially when multiple control strategies are employed, can be a challenging task. Therefore, a meticulously designed control system is indispensable to guarantee the microgrid's efficient and effective operation. The use of GA in LSTM tuning can accelerate the process of identifying the optimal hyperparameters for a specific task, obviating the need for time-consuming and computationally expensive grid searches or manual tuning. This method can be particularly advantageous when handling large data sets and complex models. Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) are being integrated into distribution systems on a large scale worldwide as part of a global effort to capture green energy. Wind turbine generator intermittency may be mitigated by Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), which have emerged as a viable option in recent years. To find the best position and capacity for wind power generation and BESS charging/discharging dispatches, a Red Fox Optimisation (RFO) algorithm is used while optimising the imbalanced distribution network's performance under technological restrictions. The charging or discharging criteria for this method is the average feeder load. The charging techniques for BESS using WTG and Sustainable Average Load (SAL) are evaluated in terms of the free-running mode of dispatch cycle. The suggested approach is tested on an IEEE-37 bus Unbalanced Radial Distribution Network (UDN). Renewable energy sources, such as solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS), help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while fulfilling the world's growing energy demand. The inclusion of BESS reduces the peak hour demand, and control of charging and discharging of BESS can be economical for distributors facing time-based energy pricing. This paper discusses a novel multiobjective Horse herd optimisation algorithm (MOHHOA) approach, which is inspired by the social behaviour of horses in herds for PV and BESS optimal allocation in the radial distribution system. The proposed algorithm combines multiple benefits like benefits from economic gain per day, reduction in CO2 emission per day, and reduction in energy loss per day. IEEE 69-bus radial distribution system (RDS) is used for testing the suggested approach. The case studies and simulation results show that the suggested model effectively accommodated PV power generation in IEEE 69-bus RDS without violating any system constraints. Results indicate improvement in node voltage profiles, security margins and energy losses, and peak energy savings, and system characteristics as a whole, and there were significantly improved techno-economic performance of the distribution system. Magnetic materials have become more and more user friendly in recent days particularly in an electronic based infrastructure. The study proposes a direct drive permanent magnet based Synchronous Generator as Tidal turbine in a hybrid tidal wave energy conversion system (TWECS) and discusses its performance for better stability. The objective of the study is to analyse the role of permanent magnet based generator in TWECS for overall improvement of stability through reactive power management. The isolated TWECS becomes unstable either by random load variations or by non uniform wind and tidal power inputs. Consequently the overall stability of the TWECS is brought to stable and normal stage by the control of reactive power with the inclusion of the custom power based devices. Abstract This work discusses the implementation of JAYA-DE algorithm with Static Var Compensator for optimum voltage control through Reactive Power compensation inside solar based hybrid power system.The stability aspect of isolated solar based hybrid power system is enhanced through compensation of the reactive power by optimized SVC and are further analyzed with different stability criterion. This paper gives a novel idea of application of ANN based SVC controller for voltage stability improvement in an isolated wind-diesel-micro hydro hybrid system. For detailed analysis a small signal linear model of the hybrid wind- Diesel-micro hydro model is considered with different loading conditions. The voltage stability analysis has been thoroughly analysed by a SVC Controller and is further improved by a feed forward neural network with back propagation technique which is designed to tune the parameters of SVC controller. Detailed stability analysis has been done with different criterias like bode, nyquist and eigen value synthesis. Abstract This work describes a number of soft-computing based solar forecasting techniques that facilitate the modelling of newly installed solar cell. The solar cell model is developed and validated against measured data. Prediction of solar radiation of a particular location depends upon number of inputs. So selection of most relevant input parameters is an important task for getting good predictions. The input parameters of the model used in this paper are sunshine duration, temperature, humidity where as the clearness index is considered as an output parameter. The magnitude of active current associated with PV inverter has been finalised by the solar based irradiation.
