This study explored how self-control and eudaimonic orientation are associated with learning burnout and internet addiction risk (IAR). Our results demonstrate that learning burnout has a significant and positive impact on IAR. The impulse system and control system play parallel mediating roles in the relationship between learning burnout and IAR. The relationship between learning burnout and IAR is moderated by eudaimonic orientation. Finally, the mediating role of the impulse system on learning burnout and IAR is moderated by eudaimonic orientation. With these findings, our study clarifies the mediating roles of the impulse system and control system in learning burnout and IAR and the moderating effects of hedonic orientation and eudaimonic orientation. Our study not only offers a new perspective for IAR research but also has practical implications for intervening in middle school students' IAR.

Primary school teachers may lack the competencies to create and deliver lessons using ICT equipments. As a result, schools possess large quantities of rarely used educational ICT resources. The recording studio, a kind of ICT which is helpful in producing videos for teaching reflection, has recently been widely promoted and used in Chinese primary schools. This research aims to investigate teachers' intention regarding recording studios and other technologies to deliver instruction, so as to explain and decrease the widespread paradox between the high access and low use of ICT for Education (ICT4E). A triangle inquiry framework between using the status of ICT4E and its influencing factors was revealed, and the conceptual model of personal and environmental influencing factors on educators' behavioral intention was constructed. The model was validated by collecting data from 208 teachers in Chinese primary schools. Results indicated that compatibility, performance expectancy, and social influence directly influenced teachers' intention to use recording studios. External pressure and support included personal factors such as peer influence, which indirectly affected educators' intention. Finally, suggestions were made to administrators in primary schools on decreasing the existing paradox from the perspective of encouraging teachers' use of ICT.

Cobalt oxides are known for their excellent heat transfer properties. The main component of cobalt oxides is the CoO2 monolayer, which exhibits high-temperature superconductivity caused by strong electron–phonon coupling (EPC). We here systematically investigate the structural stability, electronic structure, and magnetism of the CoO2 monolayer using first-principles and Monte Carlo simulations. On this basis, we further study the changes in the spin energy gap, magnetic axis direction, and other properties of the CoO2 monolayer with the changes in carrier concentration. By appropriately doping the CoO2 monolayer with holes, the magnetic axis direction of the CoO2 monolayer can be reversed, thereby enhancing its potential application in the field of spin electronic devices. Monte Carlo simulation is used to study the regulation of different factors on the magnetothermal properties of the CoO2 monolayer. Through the analysis of physical parameters such as Curie temperature (TC) and bandgap, we find that the appropriate carrier concentration and magnetic field can not only regulate the magnetothermal properties of materials but also further improve the efficiency of materials in low-temperature environments. To avoid sudden release of fluoride, F-substituted hydroxyapatite (FHA) porous microspheres were prepared for the treatment of F-deficiency tissues. In the absence of any template-directing reagents, FHA microspheres with diameters of about 30 μm were successfully fabricated via hydrothermal method with urea as homogeneous precipitant to regulate the nucleation, growth and self-assembly process. Urea concentration and hydrothermal temperature played an important role in the formation and regulation of spherical hydroxyapatite. The synthesized FHA microspheres with large specific surface area, large pore volume and complex porous structure were efficient for the adsorption and long-term stable release of ionic extracts. Concentration of F- ions in physiological salt solution was maintained in the range of the therapeutic window without exceeding the toxic threshold within 30 days. The ionic extracts of FHA porous microspheres promoted the proliferation of human osteoblast-like cells (MG-63). The fabricated FHA microspheres may be a potential candidate as bioactive fluoride-release carriers for the treatment of osteoporosis and bone defects.

In this work, we propose a variation of Miura origami which, different from the existing out-of-plane bending Miura origami, has an in-plane bent configuration due to its graded crease pattern. By combining with the one-way shape memory alloy spring, we show that the proposed graded Miura origami can serve as a smart actuator and can be applied to drive crawling robots or grippers. First, we constructed a physical model of the graded Miura origami, from which a curvature-programmable geometric equation is proposed. Then, in addition to providing a mechanical model that can capture the mechanical behavior of the initial force–displacement relationship of the curved beam, we show that the proposed curved origami has a different mechanical behavior compared to the corresponding simple flexible arch, specifically if realized by silicon rubbers. By arranging anisotropic friction to the feet, the origami robot can crawl with an omega-elongation/compression motion like an inchworm. With a closed-loop current source control system using a high-frequency pulse width modulation-based topology, where the strain state of the arched origami is detected by a demodulator-free fiber Bragg grating sensor, the average speed of the origami crawling robot can reach 2.72 mm/s. In addition, by arranging three graded Miura origami, a gripper capable of lifting a weight of 518.5 g can be formed, where the carried load is over 4.5 times its own weight. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
