High-intensity human activities have caused dramatic transformations of land function in China's coastal zone, putting enormous pressure on the region's ecological environment. It is urgent to fully understand the spatiotemporal evolution of the land-use function in the coastal zone to promote sustainable development. Therefore, based on CNLUCC data for 2000, 2010, and 2020, this study quantitatively explored the spatiotemporal evolution of production–living–ecological land (PLEL) and its eco-environmental response in China's coastal zone by using multiple land-use analysis methods, gradient analysis, and the eco-environmental quality index. The results showed that over the past 20 years, the production land (PL) continued to decrease, whereas the living land (LL) and blue ecological land (BEL) increased. In the vertical direction, PL and the ecological land (EL) dominated in the northern and the southern coastal zone, respectively. In the horizontal direction, with increasing distance from the coastline, the green ecological land (GEL) increased, whereas it was the opposite for BEL. The transformations of PLEL were high and low frequency in the north and south, respectively. From 2000 to 2020, the eco-environmental quality of China's coastal zone slightly degraded, with conditions that were "excellent in the south and poor in the north". The eco-environmental qualities of each sub-coastal zone gradually improved with increasing distance from the coastline. The main transformation types that led to eco-environmental improvement and degradation were from other production lands (OPL) to blue ecological land (BEL) and BEL to OPL, respectively. Wireless charging technology has become an important development trend in future electric vehicle (EV) power supply technology due to its safety, flexibility, and convenience. With its industrialized development, interoperability has become an essential technical link. The interoperability of wireless charging systems refers to the ability of output performance to meet specified indicators when different transmitter and receiver devices are matched. This study reviews the research status of the interoperability of EV wireless charging technology. First, the definition and composition of the interoperability of wireless charging systems are briefly given. Then, the article provides a review of standards about interoperability so far. The interoperability of various magnetic couplers and compensation topologies is also analyzed and summarized. After that, the paper reviews the existing interoperability evaluation methods. Finally, this work highlights the existing problems and challenges in current research of interoperability. Existing research on the magnetic coupler of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) wireless charging systems usually ignores the UAV fuselage, but the fuselage causes eddy current loss and reduces a system's efficiency. Therefore, aiming at the above problems, this paper proposes a design for a magnetic coupler using nanocrystalline cores to reduce the loss caused by the UAV fuselage. First, the parameters of the asymmetric circular coils were designed for higher mutual inductance. The losses caused by the windings and cores were also calculated. Second, for the loss effect of the carbon fiber fuselage, the fuselage was modeled as an additional coil coupled with both the transmitting and receiving coils. The fact that the eddy current induced by the fuselage leads to efficiency reduction is revealed, which has been generally ignored by previous research. Then, the effect of the nanocrystalline alloy was analyzed based on the magnetic circuit model. An optimized nanocrystalline alloy film was applied to reduce eddy current loss and improve coupler efficiency. Finally, an experimental prototype with a 500 W output, 90.3% efficiency, and a 300 mm air gap were fabricated. The double-sided inductor capacitor capacitor topology has been proposed in some national standards for wireless charging systems. However, misalignment between the transmitting and receiving coils usually leads to detuning and weak coupling, resulting in low output power and inefficiency. To improve power output under weak coupling, this article proposes a control method based on the variable inductor and capacitor (VLC). First, it is deduced that the zero phase angle input and full output power can be achieved by VLC regulation under certain misalignment. Second, the variable inductor using an EE-shaped core and pulsewidth modulation controlled capacitor are applied to achieve VLC regulation, and the principles and implementation of VLC are analyzed. Third, as the coupling coefficient k can be identified through the primary electrical parameters, a convenient and accurate coupling coefficient identification method is utilized to help VLC regulation. Finally, a prototype with a 3.3 kW output power and an 87.5% maximum system efficiency (dc–dc) is built to validate the proposed method. The experimental results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, proving that the output power is almost constant when k varies from 0.08 to 0.18. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Over the past 30 years, both banks of the Strait of Malacca have experienced rapid economic growth and urbanization. Because of the difficulties in obtaining multi-phase urban land information over a large tropical area, spatial-temporal evolution analysis of the urban land areas in this region has been restricted. In this study, we developed an object-oriented retro-updating method for the rapid extraction of multi-phase urban land information to conduct a comprehensive study of the urban land area changes and to investigate the regional differentiation of both banks of the Strait of Malacca from 1990 to 2018, using grid analysis, zoning statistics, and gradient-direction analysis. The results revealed that from 1990 to 2018, the urban land areas on the eastern and western banks of the Strait of Malacca had increased by 1.51 times and 1.76 times, respectively, and in 2018, the urban land areas on the eastern bank were approximately four times greater than those on the western bank. The urban land areas on the eastern bank exhibit clusters centered around large cities and small strips along roads. Furthermore, the development of the urban land on the western bank was slow. As of 2018, the low development intensity areas on the western bank accounted for 98.73% of the total area, with only Medan achieving a higher development intensity. The development speeds of both banks followed the same zonal law (i.e., decreasing with increasing distance from the coastline). In addition, the urban land areas on both banks were mainly distributed within 60 km of the coast. Over the past 30 years, in decreasing order of their expansion scales, the major ports on both banks of the strait are Port Kelang, the Port of Singapore, Malacca Port, Penang Port, Belawan Port, and Dumai Port. In addition to the Port of Singapore and Dumai Port, which are in leapfrog expansion mode, the other ports exhibit edge-expansion patterns. Finally, investigation of the factors influencing the intensity of the urban land development revealed that natural resource conditions, economic and industrial structures, port development, and government policies all have caused the development of the western bank to lag behind that of the eastern bank. Aquaculture plays an important role in providing food and reducing poverty but it affects environmental change and coastal ecosystems. Remote sensing is a technology that is helpful in the spatial-temporal dynamic monitoring of aquaculture, coastal management, and environmental monitoring. Most research focuses on inland and coastal areas, and little attention is paid to the extensive distribution of marine aquaculture. As an example, we use the freely available Landsat data of the developed marine aquaculture Liaoning Province of China and use the object-oriented automatic extraction method to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution information of marine aquaculture from 2000 to 2018. The accuracy evaluation from the randomly distributed sample points in high-resolution remote sensing images shows that the extraction accuracy for all of the five individual years of aquaculture area was higher than 82%. The results showed that (1) in the past 19 years, the area of marine aquaculture in Liaoning Province showed an increasing trend, which increased from 35.41 km2 in 2000 to 201.83 km2 in 2018, approximately 5.7 times increase in total area, but the growth rate decreased slightly due to government policy and the environmental quality of the sea area. (2) The centroid of offshore aquaculture in Liaoning Province shows a migration pattern to the northeast, in general, extending from the Dalian Bay sea area to the eastern sea area of the Dalian Chengshantou National Nature Reserve of Coastal Landform in the northeastern direction, and the migration distance reached 48.78 km. Moreover, the migration distance between 2005 and 2010 was the largest of all of the periods, reaching 35.43 km. The new marine aquaculture areas are mainly concentrated in the eastern direction of Xiaoyao Bay, the Changshan Islands, and Guanglu Island in Changhai County. (3) The landscape pattern of marine aquaculture in Liaoning Province is split, large-scale aquaculture and small-scale aquaculture are symbiotic, and landscape ecological activities are active. For local managers, this study can provide valuable supporting data for the assessment of marine aquaculture yield in this region, comprehensive control and management of the marine environment, and stability of the marine ecosystem. Rapid and accurate updating of urban land areas is of great significance to the study of environmental changes. Although there are many urban land products (ULPs) at present, such as GlobeLand30, Global Urban Footprint (GUF), and Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL), these products are all static data of a certain year, and are not able to provide high-accuracy updating of urban land areas. In addition, the accuracies of these data and their application value in the update of urban land areas need to be urgently proven. Therefore, we proposed an approach to quickly and accurately update urban land areas in the Kuala Lumpur region of Malaysia, and assessed the accuracies of urban land products in different urban landscape patterns. The approach combined the advantages of multi-source data including existing ULPs, OpenStreetMap (OSM) data, Landsat Operational Land Imager (OLI), and Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) images. Three main steps make up this approach. First, the urban land training samples were selected in the urban areas consistent with GlobeLand30, GUF, and GHSL, and samples of bare land, vegetation, water bodies, and road auxiliary data were obtained by GlobeLand30 and OSM. Then, the random forest was used to extract urban land areas according to the object's features in the OLI and PALSAR images. Last, we assessed the accuracies of GlobeLand30, GUF, GHSL, and the results of this study (ULC) by using point and area validation methods. The results showed that the ULC had the highest overall accuracy of 90.18% among the four products and could accurately depict urban land in different urban landscapes. The GHSL was the second most accurate of the four products, and the accuracy in urban areas was much higher than that in rural areas. The GUF had many omission errors in urban land areas and could not delineate a large area of complete spatial information of urban land, but it could effectively extract scattered residential land with small patches. GlobeLand30 had the lowest accuracy and could only express rough, large-scale urban land. Economic globalization promotes the economic development of underdeveloped regions but also influences the ecological environments of these regions, such as natural forest degradation. For inland developing regions with underdeveloped traffic routes, are the effects on the ecological environment also as obvious? To reveal the response characteristics of the ecological environment of the inland developing countries to globalization, we took Laos as an example, and used the land use/cover change data and also its exports and imports data to analyze the ecological environment change since the millennium. Land use transfer matrix analysis showed that Laos had encountered a large conversion of 14.43% natural forest to plantation forest since 2000 to 2017, and also a degradation of 5.94% natural forest to shrubland and grassland. Landscape pattern analysis showed that these changes were the main reasons of the fragmentation of ecological patches, which would lead to a reduction in biodiversity. More, topographic analysis further showed that natural forest degradation mainly took place in high-altitude and large slope areas, which could increase the potential of natural hazards such as floods. Coupling analysis with its exports and imports data indicated that economic globalization still had a significant impact on the country's ecological environment although Laos is an inland developing country. Laos should strengthen the regulation of renewable resources such as forests and water resources, to avoid losing the renewable resources market while still enjoying the dividends of economic globalization. Information, especially spatial distribution data, related to coastal raft aquaculture is critical to the sustainable development of marine resources and environmental protection. Commercial high spatial resolution satellite imagery can accurately locate raft aquaculture. However, this type of analysis using this expensive imagery requires a large number of images. In contrast, medium resolution satellite imagery, such as Landsat 8 images, are available at no cost, cover large areas with less data volume, and provide acceptable results. Therefore, we used Landsat 8 images to extract the presence of coastal raft aquaculture. Because the high chlorophyll concentration of coastal raft aquaculture areas cause the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the edge features to be salient for the water background, we integrated these features into the proposed method. Three sites from north to south in Eastern China were used to validate the method and compare it with our former proposed method using only object-based visually salient NDVI (OBVS-NDVI) features. The new proposed method not only maintains the true positive results of OBVS-NDVI, but also eliminates most false negative results of OBVS-NDVI. This study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism of circular RNA circ-0039459 and its effects on the apoptosis, proliferation, invasion, and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The expression of circ-0039459, miR-432, and synoviolin 1 (SYVN1) mRNA was determined using real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR. Cell proliferation was detected by cell counting kit-8 assay, and the apoptosis rate was detected using flow cytometry. Cell migration and invasion were detected using Transwell assay. The expression of E-cadherin, N-cadherin, and vimentin was detected using western blot. The targeting relationship between circ-0039459 and miR-432 as well as that between miR-432 and SYVN1 were detected using the dual-luciferase reporter and RNA pull-down assays. We found that circ-0039459 and SYVN1 mRNA were highly expressed, whereas miR-432 was lowly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma cells and tissues. After treatment with ribonuclease R or actinomycin D, the expression of linear RNA was reduced, whereas that of circular RNA was not significantly changed. circ-0039459 knockdown or miR-432 overexpression can inhibit cell proliferation, invasion, and migration and the expression of N-cadherin and vimentin proteins in carcinoma cells as well as promote apoptosis and increase the E-cadherin level. circ-0039459 targeted and regulated miR-432, which targeted and regulated SYVN1. The decreased miR-432 expression reversed the effects of circ-0039459 knockout in cancer cells. Furthermore, SYVN1 overexpression reversed the effect of miR-432 overexpression in hepatoma cells. Hence, circ-0039459 can affect the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma cells through the adsorption of miR-432, thereby regulating the expression of SYVN1.
