Customer injustice has received considerable attention in the field of organizational behavior because it generates a variety of negative outcomes. Among possible negative consequences, customer-directed sabotage is the most common reaction, which impacts individuals’ well-being and the prosperity of organizations. To minimize such negative consequences, researchers have sought to identify boundary conditions that could potentially attenuate the occurrence of customer-directed sabotage. In this study, we explore potential attenuation effects of emotional stability and attentiveness on the customer injustice–sabotage linkage. The results showed emotional stability and attentiveness moderate the relationship between customer injustice and customer-directed sabotage. Specifically, the representatives with higher (vs. lower) emotional stability or higher (vs. lower) attentiveness are less likely to engage in customer-directed sabotage when they experience customer injustice. Moreover, there is a three-way interaction among daily customer injustice, emotional stability, and attentiveness that predicts daily customer-directed sabotage. Theoretical and practical contributions, limitations, and directions for future development are also discussed.

Background: The major purpose of this research is to examine Contactless Technology (CT) users' post-adoption phenomena in the context of mobile apps (MA) run by a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). It applies the Post-Adoption Model of Information System Continuance (PAMISC) to examine how QSR customers' technology anxiety (TA), confirmation of initial expectations, perceived usefulness (PU), and satisfaction with CT relate to their continued intention of use. Furthermore, the study investigates the relationship between customers' satisfaction with CT and their overall satisfaction with QSR. Methods: To test the research model, we collected survey data from 245 users of MA provided by McDonald's restaurants in the US, which are analyzed through Partial Least Square analysis using SmartPLS 4.0. Results: The theoretical relationships in the PAMISC hold true in the context of QSR's MA. Current QSR customers' TA is negatively associated with their perceived usefulness, but is not related to the degree of confirmation of using MA. Customers' continued intention of use and satisfaction with MA are positively related to overall satisfaction with QSR. Conclusion: Our study is among the first to provide empirical/practical evidence of the PAMISC in the context of IT-enabled hospitality services. It also extends the model in two important ways. First, the study examines the role of TA, an important personal trait relevant to individuals' use of QSR technology. Second, it highlights customers' satisfaction with firm-provided technology to improve their overall satisfaction with the firm in the context of QSRs. For practitioners, it is important for QSR managers to understand the impact of TA on customers' adoption of MA, so that they can design their MA with simpler interfaces and more human aspects. Background: Mobile curated (shortened) news is now increasingly popular. Each curated news article is accompanied by a link that readers can click to read the full-length article on the news provider's website. To date, little empirical research has examined the factors that influence mobile newsreaders' intentions to read fulllength articles from their curated short forms. To address this gap, this study employs the Heuristic-Systematic Model (HSM) of information processing and examines: 1) how the heuristic and systematic factors of online curated news influence newsreaders' intention to read full-length articles; and 2) how newsreaders' language proficiency levels moderate these effects. Method: A survey was conducted with 195 participants recruited from Amazon MTurk. The participants first read a sample curated news item developed for this study and then filled out the questionnaire to measure the variables of interest. To test the hypotheses, a partial least square method was used with SmartPLS 4.0. Results: Our results showed that people have stronger intentions to read fulllength articles when they perceive the curated news to have highly relevant information, an attractive title, a credible source, or less understandable information. Furthermore, newsreaders' language proficiency level has a moderating impact on some of these effects. The effects of these factors can be attributed to how they influence newsreaders' reading behaviors and their heuristic or systematic processing of the curated news. Conclusion: The curated news can be properly designed to motivate newsreaders' intention to read full-length articles. The findings contribute to the body of knowledge on HSM and mobile news adoption. A new dipyridyl ligand is encoded with 120° angularity between its coordination vectors by using a central pyridine carboxamide scaffold to orient two 4-(pyridin-4-ylethynyl)phenyl moieties. The N,N'-bis(4- (pyridin-4-ylethynyl)phenyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide ligand undergoes self-assembly with a diruthenium arene complex to furnish a [2 + 2] metallacycle with a wedge-like structure. The metallacycle binds to the enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) variant of GFP, resulting in steady-state spectral changes in UV-Vis absorption and emission experiments. These studies indicate that the metallacycle induces conformation changes to the EGFP, disrupting the tripeptide chromophore. Furthermore, gel electrophoresis, circular dichroism and atomic force microscopy studies indicate that binding ultimately leads to aggregation of the protein. Computational investigations indicate a favorable interaction, predominantly between the metallacycle and the Arg168 residue of the EGFP. An interaction with Arg168 and related residues was previously observed for an emission-attenuating antibody, supporting that these interactions induce changes to the photophysical properties of EGFP by disrupting the tripeptidechromophore in a similar manner. Additionally, we have also described the quenching study of the reporter GFP protein in vivo by a new metal complex using reflected fluorescence microscopy. We anticipate that such metal complexes which can passively diffuse into the cells in vivo can serve as potential tools in molecular and drug targeting based biological studies. The synthesis of new 2+2 metallarectangles via coordination-driven self-assembly of octahedral Ru(II)-based acceptors and amide donors is described. To evaluate their in vitrocytotoxic properties, preliminary biological assays were carried out for various human cancer cell lines, and our results show that the cytotoxicity level of 3is comparable or even greater in the cases of SK-hep-1 and HCT-15 than that of the reference drug cisplatin. Time reversal invariance-violating (TRIV) effects in low-energy elastic neutron-deuteron scattering are calculated using meson exchange and EFT-type TRIV potentials in a distorted-wave Born approximation with realistic hadronic strong interaction wave functions, obtained by solving the three-body Faddeev equations in configuration space. The cross section for radiative thermal neutron capture on 3He (3He+n→4He+γ; known as the hen reaction) is calculated based on heavy-baryon chiral perturbation theory. The relevant M1 operators are derived up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N3LO). The initial and final nuclear wave functions are obtained from the rigorous Faddeev-Yakubovski equations for five sets of realistic nuclear interactions. Up to N3LO, the M1 operators contain two low-energy constants, which appear as the coefficients of nonderivative two-nucleon contact terms. After determining these two constants using the experimental values of the magnetic moments of the triton and 3He, we carry out a parameter-free calculation of the hen cross section. Parity-violating effects for low-energy elastic neutron deuteron scattering are calculated for Desplanques, Donoghue, and Holstein (DDH) and effective field theory types of weak potentials in a distorted-wave Born approximation, using realistic hadronic strong interaction wave functions, obtained by solving three-body Faddeev equations in configuration space. The resulting relation between physical observables and low-energy constants can be used to fix low-energy constants from experiments. The parity-violating neutron spin rotation in 4He is studied at vanishing incident neutron energy limit. Calculations have been realized by solving five-body Faddeev-Yakubovsky equations in configuration space employing modern strong-interaction Hamiltonian based on chiral perturbation theory including three-nucleon force. Parity-violating nucleon-nucleon interaction of the Desplanques, Donoghue, and Holstein model is employed. Determination of the proper power-counting scheme is an important issue for the systematic application of Chiral Effective Field Theory in nuclear physics. We analyze the cutoff dependence of three-nucleon observables (the neutron-deuteron scattering lengths and the triton binding energy) at the leading and next-to-leading orders of a power counting that ensures order-by-order renormalization in the two-nucleon system. Our results confirm that, as usually assumed in the literature, three-body forces are not needed for renormalization of the three-nucleon system up to next-to-leading order. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Spin-polarization observables of deuteron photodisintegration at low energies are studied in a pionless effective-field theory up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO). The total and differential cross sections, induced neutron polarization Py', and tensor analyzing powers T20 and T22 of the process are calculated at photon energies from the breakup threshold to 20 MeV. We find that the NNLO corrections in the cross sections and Py' converge well whereas they turn out to be important contributions in T20 and T22. We discuss the discrepancy between theory and experiment in Py' still persisting as well as an implication of our result to the first measurement of T20 at low energies in the High Intensity Gamma-Ray Source facility at Duke University. Time reversal invariance violating parity conserving (TVPC) effects are calculated for elastic proton-deuteron scattering with proton energies up to 2 MeV. A partial screening of nucleon electric dipole moments (EDMs) in nuclear systems, which is related to the Schiff mechanism known for neutral atomic systems, is discussed.
