Academic research trends involving public health education may reflect a certain degree of talent construction status. This study systematically reviews the data for published literature on graduate public health education, aiming to provide evidence for the optimization of public health postgraduate training mechanisms in China. Keyword cooccurrence analysis was performed based on high-frequency keywords. From 1992 to 2008, the annual number of publications in this field was relatively low in China, averaging fewer than 5 articles. The number of publications showed a steep increase after 2009. The publications were mostly from single research institutions, including comprehensive universities and military medical universities, concentrated in Beijing and Shanghai. The high-frequency keywords were public health and preventive medicine, postgraduate training, professional degree, MPH, curriculum, and teaching reform. Hotspots consisted of practical teaching research, training, educational reform and comparative education research. Research on public health postgraduate education has not reached scale and has insufficient support. Moreover, many problems in graduate public health education still cannot be solved by existing studies: authentic and practical learning, a unified approach to cultivate graduate students, organizational change of graduate public health education, and international cooperation and public health education. more...

Natural gas hydrate solid fluidization mining technology is a new hydrate mining technology, but due to the lack of combined nozzle design theory and basis, the crushing efficiency of mining tools is low. To solve this problem, the characteristics of the combined jet flow fields of nozzles with diameters from 1 mm to 4 mm and combination angles from 10° to 20° were studied in this paper by means of experiments and simulations. The results show that the maximum velocity at the merging point increases negatively linearly with increases in the combination angle and positively linearly with increase in the nozzle diameter. The position of the merging point changes little with the nozzle diameter and increases exponentially with increases in the combination angle. The effective crushing lengths of nozzles with different diameters all turn (increase first and then decrease) when the combination angle is 12.5°. The optimal combination angle for nozzles with diameter less than 4.5 mm is 12.5°, and 15° is for nozzles with diameter more than 4.5 mm. This study reveals the flow field variation mechanism for the combined nozzle and provides guidance for the design of the combined nozzles of gas hydrate combined nozzles. Drug-influenced gingival enlargement is a common side effect associated with certain medications, particularly calcium channel blockers like nifedipine, which has been extensively documented. However, the occurrence of nifedipine-influenced masticatory mucosa overgrowth in edentulous patients is rare. Here, we present a case of nifedipine-influenced mucosal enlargement persisting in a 67-year-old edentulous patient 3 months after the extraction of all his teeth. The patient underwent flap surgery and alveoloplasty to excise the overgrown tissue, followed by complete denture restoration. The antihypertensive medication was replaced with valsartan. Using the data from Van Allen Probes, we statistically study the acceleration conditions of ultrarelativistic electrons (Ek > 3 MeV) in the Earth's outer radiation belt. Based on the different high energy cutoffs of ultrarelativistic electrons, the acceleration events of ultrarelativistic electrons are divided into the four groups of "3.4 MeV events," "5.2 MeV events," "6.3 MeV events," and "7.7 MeV events." According to different solar wind and substorm conditions during the recovery stage, we classify solar wind into three categories: no high‐speed flows, short‐duration high‐speed flows, and long‐duration high‐speed flows. Substorms are divided into continuous substorm activity and non‐continuous substorm activity. Our statistical results show that (a) The different solar wind speeds can cause enhancements of ultrarelativistic electrons with different energies. The high solar wind speed is more important in the acceleration of ultrarelativistic electrons with higher energies (7.7 MeV) than lower energies (3.4, 5.2, and 6.3 MeV). (b) The different substorm activities during the recovery stage can cause enhancements of ultrarelativistic electrons with different energies. Continuous intense substorms in the early recovery stage can contribute to the rapid recovery and enhancements of ultrarelativistic electrons. The timing, intensity, and duration of substorms during the recovery stage are important to the acceleration of ultrarelativistic electrons. With the rapid development of underground space utilization, the excavation of new tunnels with ultra-shallow under crossing buildings using the drilling and blasting method is gradually increasing. The blasting vibration will undoubtedly affect the surrounding buildings. Reducing the impact of blasting vibration on ground buildings has become an important technical challenge faced by tunnel blasting technicians. The inlet end of the Xi'an-Chengdu High-Speed Railway Xiannvyan Tunnel passes below a village through an ultra-shallow buried section; as a result, blasting vibration control is a major concern. A design scheme for a 0.6 m footage in tunnel was proposed and verified through field tests. A 0.8 m footage scheme and 1.8 m footage millisecond interference vibration reduction scheme were proposed, respectively. Based on the HHT analysis, by comparing the surface vibration velocities and instantaneous energy obtained from the millisecond delay detonation of cutting holes and the detonation of different charging schemes, we found that the free surface, mass of single dynamite charges, and tunnel burial depth had significant influences on the surface vibration. Using the Van Allen Probes data, we statistically study the evolutions of the seed and relativistic electrons in the Earth's outer radiation belt during the storms. Based on the different storm intensities and durations of the main phase, the storm events are divided into "moderate and short (MS) events," "moderate and long (ML) events," "strong and short (SS) events," and "strong and long (SL) events." The results from a superposed epoch analysis show that (a) For most MS and SS events, the seed electron fluxes can exceed pre‐storm levels, and enhanced fluxes mainly occur around the storm peak. (b) For the ML and SL events, the seed electron fluxes greatly exceed pre‐storm levels by more than an order of magnitude, and enhanced fluxes mainly occur during the main phase. (c) For most MS events, MeV electron fluxes are difficult to return to or exceed pre‐storm levels. While MeV electron fluxes at some L* shells for some SS events can exceed pre‐storm levels. (d) For most ML or SL events, MeV electron fluxes at L* ≥4.0 or ≥3.5 can exceed pre‐storm levels, and enhanced fluxes mainly start to occur from the main phase. These results suggest that the duration of the main phase and storm intensity play important roles in the evolutions of the seed and MeV electrons in the Earth's outer radiation belt during the storms. Using the data from Van Allen Probe A and B, we investigate rapid enhancements of relativistic electrons in the Earth's outer radiation belt caused by the intense substorms (AEmax > ∼900 nT) for 29 events from January 2013 to April 2015. These intense substorms may occur during the storm main phase or recovery phase. Based on the different substorm evolution characteristics, the intense substorms are divided into non‐continuous intense substorm activities and continuous intense substorm activities. In this study, we set a criterion for rapid enhancements when the electron phase space densities for μ = 1,096, 2,290, and 3,311 MeV/G increased by more than two times in 9 hr. In the time interval of 9 hr, the local acceleration by chorus waves is the dominant process for accelerating the seed populations (hundred kiloelectron volts) up to MeV energies. Our statistical results show that enhanced chorus waves and seed electrons during the intense substorms are observed in the outer radiation belt. Continuous intense substorm activities can more rapidly (<9 hr) and efficiently accelerate relativistic electrons in the outer radiation belt than non‐continuous intense substorm activities. During the intense substorms, the electric field acceleration could contribute to rapid enhancements of relativistic electrons in the outer radiation belt. Our statistical study suggests that the intense substorms during geomagnetic storms have a significant effect on the rapid variations of relativistic electron dynamics. A reconfigurable transducer interface circuit that combines the communication and signal conditioning necessary to link a variety of sensors and actuators to a microsystem controller is reported. The adaptive readout circuitry supports high-resolution signal acquisition from capacitive, resistive, voltage and current mode sensors with programmable control of gain and offset to match sensor range and sensitivity. The chip accommodates sensor self test and self calibration and supports several power management schemes. It provides digital and analog outputs to control actuators and a standard interface to peripheral components. The 2.2 x 2.2 mm CMOS chip was fabricated in 0.5-[micro]m, 3-metal, 2-poly process, dissipates ~ 50 [micro]W at 3.3 V in a typical multisensor application utilizing periodic sleep mode, and can read out a wide range of sensors with high sensitivity. A prototype microsystem with a microcontroller and MEMS pressure, humidity, and temperature sensors has been implemented to characterize interface chip performance. Using the data from Van Allen Probes, we investigate in detail the seed populations in the outer radiation belt during the storm main phase. Based on the different flux variations of the seed electrons before the storm and around the storm peak, these storm events are divided into "flux decay events," "flux enhancement events" and "strong flux enhancement events." For flux decay events, a shorter storm main phase (≤12 hr) and smaller southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) and solar wind electric field (−15 nT < Bzmin < −5 nT, 2 mV/m < Eymax < 7 mV/m) are found. For flux enhancement events, large southward Bzmin and Eymax (−29 nT < Bzmin < −10 nT, 5 mV/m < Eymax < 11 mV/m) for the shorter main phase or smaller southward Bzmin and Eymax (−23 nT < Bzmin < −5 nT, 3 mV/m < Eymax < 11 mV/m) for the longer main phase (>12 hr) are observed. For strong flux enhancement events, larger southward Bzmin and Eymax (−32 nT < Bzmin < −13 nT, 5 mV/m < Eymax < 22 mV/m) for the shorter main phase or smaller southward Bzmin and Eymax (−26 nT < Bzmin < −9 nT, 3 mV/m < Eymax < 16 mV/m) for the longer main phase are observed. These suggest that the flux variations of the seed electrons during the storm main phase are highly influenced by the duration of the storm main phase, southward IMF, and solar wind electric field. The spatial and temporal distributions of ionospheric electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves during magnetic storms from 2014 to 2018 were studied using Swarm observations. Ionospheric EMIC waves preferably occurred during storms and their recovery phases at subauroral regions within an average magnetic latitude of 40–55°. There were more wave events during more intense and longer period storms. However, the correlation between event number and storm duration was not good. This might be due to the effect of heavy oxygen ions on EMIC wave generation and the loss of ring current high‐energy ions by the EMIC waves. There are obvious magnetic local time (MLT) differences in the peak occurrence frequency of EMIC waves during storm phases. The enhanced solar wind dynamic pressure was favorable for duskside EMIC waves. With an increased substorm activity, the wave occurrence rate peak shifted from the morning side to the dusk‐premidnight sector. During the recovery phase of a storm, EMIC waves in the 12–24 MLT sector appeared preferably in the earlier part than those in the 00–12 MLT sector. This shift in local time is related to the eastward rotation of the plasmaspheric plume toward morning during the late storm recovery phase and its overlap with the ring current. To date, most research on the characteristics of glacial debris flow along the Sichuan–Tibet railway has focused on numerical simulations and remote sensing, resulting in a lack of direct experimental data from debris flow samples. Therefore, in the present study, a field investigation was conducted along the Sichuan–Tibet railway, and 55 samples of glacial debris flow deposits were systematically analyzed to determine their grading and rheological properties. This is the first systematic experimental study on glacial debris flow deposits. The results showed that the proportion of coarse particles was high and the proportion of fine particles was low in the glacial debris flow along the Sichuan–Tibet railway. The average gravel and sand contents were 37.8% and 58%, respectively, and the average contents of silt and clay were 3.7% and 0.47%, respectively. The average fractal dimension was 2.1507, which is much greater than that of viscous debris flow. Under the same gravity and shear rate, the stress of typical glacial debris flow was significantly less than that of viscous debris flow, whereas the variability of the stress was more significant. These findings will contribute to revealing the movement rules and disaster risk of glacier debris flow along the Sichuan–Tibet railway and have considerable theoretical and practical significance for ensuring safety during both its construction and later operation. In this paper, the radial distribution laws of damage factors under decoupled charge blasting are studied for the optimization design of blasting parameters. Through defining the critical radial decoupling coefficient, the damage zone around the borehole is partitioned and the characteristics are described. Based on the damage factor defined by Taylor's effective elastic modulus, the formulas of the radial distribution laws of damage factors are derived by the attenuation law of stress wave and the theory of thick-walled cylinder, respectively, which are then superposed to obtain the formula under the combined action of explosion stress wave and quasistatic gas. Experimental verification indicates that the theoretical values, which have a good correlation with the test data and are of high accuracy, can characterize the radial distribution laws of damage factors and estimate the damage range. When a radial decoupling coefficient is less than the critical value, the attenuation rate of damage factors firstly increases and then decreases with the increase of distance, and a serious damage zone is caused. Conversely, it decreases gradually, and the serious damage zone is not caused. Therefore, on the premise of stable detonation, it is necessary to apply an appropriate radial decoupling coefficient which is larger than the critical value to smooth or presplit blasting. A long‐term data set of energetic proton omnidirectional integral fluxes with an 8‐s resolution from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Polar Operational Environmental Satellites (POES) and EUMETSAT MetOp satellites from 1978 to 2014 has been investigated comprehensively to capture the data bifurcations, calibration inconsistency, and some erroneous data. There are two categories of the data bifurcations. The upper and lower branches of both bifurcations can be clearly separated by magnetic local time or by magnetic latitude. The calibration inconsistency of POES and MetOp proton omnidirectional integral fluxes (>16 MeV) is solved by fitting the data from each pair of two satellites using a third‐degree polynomial function. The fitted curve is almost independent of Lm, B/B0, and time in the valid range. By these fitted functions, the >16 MeV proton omnidirectional integral fluxes from other POES and MetOp satellites are recalibrated to the NOAA‐15 measurements that are adopted as the reference standard. Analyses of the recalibrated data at the geomagnetic equator for about 3.5 solar cycles indicate that the maximal and minimal yearly values of >16 MeV proton omnidirectional integral fluxes are in 1987 and in 2002, respectively. By comparisons with the AP8 model predictions, the ratios of the observations in 1987 (in 2002) to the AP8 MIN (AP8 MAX) predictions are mainly within 0.5‐3 (0.1‐2), showing a dependence on Lm and B/B0. This paper investigates the wave transmission and reflection of an elastic P-wave at a single joint for normal incidence. First, considering a coupled joint (correction parameter λ, 0<λ<1), a normal deformation constitutive model of the joint (g‐λ model) under static or quasi-static loading is introduced and then extended to dynamic loading. The nonlinearity of the joint stress-deformation curve increases with increasing λ. Second, the interaction between the P-wave and the joint is investigated by using the method of characteristics and the displacement discontinuity method to deduce the differential expression of the transmitted wave's particle velocity. The approximate analytical expressions of the transmission and reflection coefficients are obtained according to the Lemaitre equivalent strain assumption. Third, parametric studies are conducted to evaluate the effects of λ on transmission characteristics for a normally incident P-wave at a single joint. The results show that the particle velocity of the transmitted wave depends on λ. When λ takes the limit values 0 and 1, the transmitted wave's particle velocities are then consistent with the conclusions of the classical exponential model and the Barton–Bandis model. In addition, the transmission and reflection coefficients are discussed with respect to λ and also to the ratio of the joint closure to the maximum allowable joint closure. The geospace inner magnetosphere, within about 10 Earth radii, contains various plasma populations with energy from a few electron volts to megaelectron volts and plays important roles in regulating the energy density of the magnetosphere, the magnetic field configuration, and wave dynamics. As an integrated part of the magnetosphere, the inner magnetosphere region also ties to other regions and can change the global geospace circulation. Therefore, understanding both internal and external cross‐energy/population interactions can help further our knowledge of the inner magnetosphere dynamics and nonlinear feedback processes. In view of this, in the past 5 years (2014–2018), the Geospace Environment Modeling (GEM) Focus Group "inner magnetosphere cross‐energy/population interactions (IMCEPI)" has gathered and boosted community‐wide interactions among observation, simulation, and modeling studies. This commentary reports some major accomplishments of the interactive inner magnetosphere community that were advanced by the IMCEPI Focus Group discussions and layouts remaining challenges that need to be carried on. Background: In the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome (CuTS), in situ ulnar nerve decompression is commonly used. This study aims to investigate predictive factors for poor recovery and ulnar nerve instability following this procedure. Methods: We enrolled 235 patients who underwent in situ ulnar nerve decompression for the treatment of CuTS from January 2010 to December 2014. All patients underwent .2 years' follow-up. The primary outcome was postoperative recovery, which was assessed by Messina's criteria, and the secondary outcome was postoperative ulnar nerve instability. Potential risk factors were collected from demographic data and electrodiagnostic test, which included age, gender, body mass index, history of tobacco or alcohol use, history of major medical comorbidities, disease duration, preoperative severity, motor conduction velocity, and sensory conduction velocity. Results: A total of 208 patients (88.5%) had satisfactory outcomes, while the other 27 patients (11.5%) had not. There were 25 patients (10.6%) showing postoperative ulnar nerve instability during follow-up. The multivariate analysis showed that only severe preoperative symptom (odds ratio [OR], 3.06; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.16-4.32) was associated with unsatisfactory postoperative outcomes in patients with CuTS (P,0.001). In the model investigating independent factors associated with postoperative ulnar nerve instability, we found that young age (OR, 2.41; 95% CI, 1.63-3.58) was associated with the incidence of postoperative ulnar nerve instability (P,0.001). Conclusion: We found that severe preoperative symptom was associated with unsatisfactory postoperative outcomes, and young age was a risk factor for the incidence of postoperative ulnar nerve instability.
