Recent research has shown that creative self-concept might be not only a path to people's creativity but also a path to their positive affect. This study proposed and examined the underlying mechanisms of how creative self-concept is associated with positive affect through the mediating role of people's daily creative behavior and creative self-assessment. We recruited 101 Chinese undergraduate students to report their creative behavior, creative self-assessment, and experiences of positive emotion states each day for 14 days. A multilevel structural equation model was conducted. Results confirmed the mediating role of creative self-assessment and the chain-mediating role of creative behavior and creative self-assessment between creative self-concept and positive affect. The direct effect of creative behavior on positive affect was not verified. These findings highlight the role that creative self-concept plays in everyday activities and everyday well-being and show the importance of creative self-assessment in creativity education and mental health care.

Research has demonstrated that implicit theories of creativity are crucial in shaping an individual's behavior and real-life decisions toward being creative. The present study proposed and examined the underlying mechanisms of how two kinds of implicit theories--the growth mindset of the creative self and the stereotype of creative others--are associated with creative achievements through the mediating role of creativity motivation. Participants were 606 undergraduate students who were enrolled in an education major in two universities in China. Overall, the study found that Chinese students held a positive image toward a creative student, regarding him or her as highly competent, warm, and popular. Student perceptions of a creative other were positively related to their growth mindset of creativity. Moreover, results verified both the mediating role of creativity motivation on growth mindset, as well as the effect of positive stereotyping of the creative other on students' creative achievement. These findings point to promising creativity motivation strategies including the cultivation of a malleable view of creativity and of creative role models, that may, in turn, promote creative achievement by encouraging students to do, learn, and accomplish new things.

Reference targets with stability, uniformity, and known reflectance on the Earth's surface, such as deserts, can be used for the absolute radiometric calibration of satellite sensors. A wide-angle hyperspectral reflectance model at the top of atmosphere (TOA) over such a reference target will expand the applicability of on-orbit calibration to different spectral bands and angles. To achieve the long-term, continuous, and high-precision absolute radiometric calibration of remote sensors, a wide-angle hyperspectral TOA reflectance model of the Libyan Desert was constructed based on spectral reflectance data, satellite overpass parameters, and atmospheric parameters from the Terra/Aqua and Earth Observation-1 (EO-1) satellites between 2003 and 2012. By means of angle fitting, viewing angle grouping, and spectral extension, the model is applicable for absolute radiometric calibration of the visible to short-wave infrared (SWIR) bands for sensors within viewing zenith angles of 65 degrees. To validate the accuracy and precision of the model, a total of 3120 long-term validations of model accuracy and 949 cross-validations with the Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) and Suomi National Polar-Orbiting Partnership (NPP) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) satellite sensors between 2013 and 2020 were conducted. The results show that the TOA reflectance calculated by the model had a standard deviation (SD) of relative differences below 1.9% and a root-mean-square error (RMSE) below 0.8% when compared with observations from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and Landsat 8 OLI. Soil salinization is a crucial type in the degradation of coastal land, but its spatial distribution and drivers have not been sufficiently explored especially at the depth scale owing to its multidimensional nature. In this study, we proposed a multi-depth soil salinity prediction model (0–10 cm, 10–20 cm, 20–40 cm, and 40–60 cm) fully using the advantages of satellite image data and field sampling to rapidly estimate the multi-depth soil salinity in the Yellow River Delta, China. Firstly, a multi-depth soil salinity predictive factor system was developed through correlation analysis of soil sample electrical conductivity with a series of remote-sensing parameters containing heat, moisture, salinity, vegetation indices, spectral value, and spatial location. Then, three machine learning methods including back propagation neural network (BPNN), support vector machine (SVM), and random forest (RF) were adopted to construct a coastal soil salinity inversion model. By using the best inversion model, we obtain the spatial distribution of soil salinity in the Yellow River Delta. The results show the following: (1) Environmental variables in this study are all effective variables for soil salinity prediction. The most sensitive indicators to multi-depth soil salinity are GDVI, ENDVI, SI-T, NDWI, and LST. (2) The RF model was chosen as the optimal approach for predicting and mapping soil salinity based on performance at four soil depths. (3) The soil salinity profiles exhibited intricate coexistence of two distinct types: surface aggregated and homogeneous. The former was dominant in the east, where salinity was higher. The central and southwestern parts were mostly homogeneous, with lower soil salinity. (4) The soil salinity throughout the four depths examined was found to be most elevated in saltern and bare land and lowest in wetland vegetation and farmland, according to land-cover type. This study proposed a remote sensing prediction method for salinization in multiple soil layers in the coastal plain, which could provide decision support for spatial monitoring of land salinization and achieving land degradation neutrality targets. There is an imperative choice to develop a secure feasible strategy to address evasion dynamics of refractory tumors and SARS‐CoV‐2‐variants, while stem cell‐based protocol may be more reliable as its unique ability for resetting multifunctional immunity to address progressive tumor and the constantly‐evolving virus. In this study, spheroid‐embryonoid stem cells from mature somatic cells were engineered as multifunctional biologics (3D‐E/BSC) and inoculated in senile rhesus to identify secure potential against immune‐evasion from viral‐variants. Meanwhile, a cohort of eligible patients with stage IV NSCLC were approved for phase I clinical trials. Subsequently, long‐lasting security and efficacy were validated by primate and clinical trials (p < 0.01) in that it could not only stimulate serological immunity, but also reset core immunity for hosts to address variant evasion after 3D‐E/BSC withdrawal. Particularly, illustrated by single‐cell evolving trajectory, 3D‐E/BSC had securely reset senile thymus of aging hosts to remodel core immunity by rearranging naive rhythm to evolve TRGC2+/JCHAIN+NKT clusters to abolish tumoral and viral evasion dynamics with path‐feedbacks of NSCLC and COVID‐19 simultaneously activated, leading to continuous blockade of breakthrough infection of viral‐mutants and long‐term survival in one‐third of terminal patients without adjuvant required. Memristors are one of the most promising next-generation nonvolatile storage devices because of their unique structure and excellent performance. Transparent memristors with multifunctional coupling are one of the future development directions for functionally integrated electronics. Compared to other memristors, transparent memristors have enormous advantages in stability and optoelectronic devices due to their transparency. These advantages will enable transparent memristors to have more potential applications, such as in optoelectronic neuromorphic systems, artificial intelligence, and human visual systems. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze trends in transparent memristors in order to realize these applications. Here, we review three application areas : nonvolatile memory, artificial synapses, and neural networks. The resistive switching mechanism of transparent memristors is introduced through the overall and local effects. Finally, application prospects and challenges of transparent memristors are summarized, which provides an insightful guide to developing transparent electronic devices further. In this study, a column experiment was employed to evaluate the nuclide migration behavior in the surrounding rock medium of a near-surface disposal site in China and to investigate the advection–dispersion behavior of tritium (H-3) and plutonium-238 (Pu-238) in highly weathered argillaceous shale. A reasonable numerical model was selected to fit the experimental breakthrough curves (BTCs) and to obtain the relevant migration parameters. The results show the following: (1) the internal structure of the highly weathered argillaceous shale exhibited heterogeneity, and the nuclide migration BTC showed characteristics of a "curve peak moving forward" and a "tail curve trailing"; (2) compared with other models, the stream tube mode could better fit the BTCs and obtain the average dispersion coefficient , average distribution coefficient d>, and other parameters; (3) compared to the results of the batch experiment, the distribution coefficient Kd obtained from the column experiment was smaller than that obtained from the batch experiment, which is speculated to be due to the influence of contact time and the contact area between the nuclide and the medium. To provide carbon steel a long-term corrosion protection effect in NaCl solutions with different pH values, based on poly-acrylamide (PAM) and oleate imidazoline (OIM), a solid corrosion inhibitor with the properties of pH-controlled release was synthesized. SEM, FTIR and TGA results indicated that the OIM inhibitors were successfully loaded into PAM hydrogel with a high OIM encapsulation content (39.64 wt.%). The OIM release behavior from the hydrogel structure has two stages, quick release and sustained release. The pH of solutions could affect the initial release kinetics of OIM inhibitors and the diffusion path in the hydrogel structure. Weight loss measurement of L80 steel in different pH solutions with OIM@PAM proved the inhibitor responsive release mechanism and anticorrosion performance. The inhibition efficiency of OIM@PAM can maintain over 80% after long-term immersion in a harsh corrosive environment (pH 3), which is much higher than the inhibition efficiency of OIM@PAM in a moderate corrosive solution. To tolerate high processing temperature during the fabrication of low‐temperature polycrystalline silicon thin‐film transistors (LTPS–TFT) in flexible OLED devices, the polyimide (PI) films, which are used as substrate, should have ultra‐high glass transition temperature (Tg > 450°C) and ultra‐low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE at 0–5 ppm K−1). In this paper, two novel heterocyclic monomers, namely, N,N'‐(xanthone‐2,7‐diyl)bis(4‐aminobenzamide) (p‐DAXBA) and N,N'‐(xanthone‐2,7‐diyl)bis(3‐aminobenzamide) (m‐DAXBA), which contain a xanthone moiety, are prepared and polycondensed with pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA), respectively. PI films (PIa and PIb) with intrinsic high Tg and low CTE are designed from the perspective of rigid conjugate xanthone structure and hydrogen bonding interaction. It is found that the PIa films prepared by p‐DAXBA have better linear structure of molecular chains and show relatively higher Tg and lower CTE. The Tg of PIa‐40 is greater than 450°C, and CTE can reach as low as 2.7 ppm K−1, tensile strength of 179 MPa, modulus of 5.67 GPa, indicating potential application prospect as a flexible OLED substrate. The adsorption characteristics of corrosive anions (Cl−, HS−, S2−, HCO3− and CO32−) on TiO2 of TC4 titanium alloy in a NaCl solution containing H2S and CO2 were studied by density functional theory (DFT). The stable adsorption configuration of each corrosive species on the TiO2 (110) surface was obtained by geometric optimization, and the electronic structure and interface binding energy were calculated and analyzed. The results showed that the optimal adsorption positions of Cl−, HS−, S2−, HCO3− and CO32− on TiO2 (110) were all bridge positions. There was a strong charge interaction between the negatively charged Cl, S and O atoms in Cl−, HS−, S2−, HCO3− and CO32− and the positively charged Ti atoms of TiO2. The interface bonding was mainly caused by charge movement from around Ti atoms to around Cl, O, S atoms. The energy levels were mainly caused by the electron orbital hybridization of Cl-3p5, S-3p4, O-2p4 and Ti-3d2. All adsorption configurations were chemical adsorption. The order of influence of the five ions on the stability of TiO2 was S2− > CO32− > Cl− > HS− > HCO3−. Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women. Clinical models such as Oncotype DX recurrence score (RS) and Clinical Treatment Score post–5 years (CTS5) model for survival prediction are crucial for clinical practice. However, it remains unclear whether CTS5 or RS would be a more powerful clinical model for recurrence risk evaluation. Therefore, we conducted the present study to compare the performance of CTS5 risk model and RS on different recurrence evaluation. And we further integrated the two models into a novel nomogram to improve the power for prognosis prediction. Female patients with invasive hormone receptor positive breast cancer in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) database with RS data available were included. The clinicopathological data were directly extracted from SEER database. Participants were divided into three subsets according to recurrence timing (<36 months, between 36 and 60 months, and >60 months) for model evaluation. Survival receiver operating characteristic curve and C-index were calculated to evaluate discrimination. Calibration curve were used to visual inspection for calibration. Model comparison was assessed by net reclassification index (NRI) method. Nomogram prognostic model was developed with the combination of CTS5 score and RS and also included other critical clinicopathological parameters. In total, 64044 breast cancer patients were enrolled for analysis. The number of patients with survival <36 months (early recurrence subset), 36–60 months (intermediate recurrence subset) and >60 months (late recurrence subset) were 64044, 36878 and 15926, respectively. For model discrimination, CTS5 model was superior to RS for overall survival (OS) prediction (likelihood ratio test P < 0 0.001). RS model showed better performance for breast cancer specific survival (BCSS) in late recurrence subsets and worse performance in early and intermediate recurrence subsets than CTS5 (likelihood ratio test P < 0 0.001). For calibration, CTS5 model was superior to RS model for OS, which overestimated the recurrence risk in low-risk subgroup. Both models overestimated the risk for BCSS. In either early/intermediate/late recurrence patient subsets, there was no significant difference in NRI between two models in terms of both BCSS and OS, indicating the two models had comparable prognostic value. The nomogram which combined these two models largely improved the discrimination and calibration power (C-index 0.70–0.72). Our study proved the CTS5 risk model had comparable prognostic value as RS in HR + breast cancer patients. And the novel nomogram model had better discrimination and calibration than both CTS5 and RS, and future large-scale clinical trials are warranted for further validation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Although the effect of pseudogene ANXA2P2 on some tumors has been reported in a few literatures, the therapeutic potential and prognostic value of ANXA2P2 in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV) have not been elucidated. Methods: The correlation for ANXA2P2 expression patterns to prognostic characteristics, tumor immune microenvironment, immune cell infiltration level, tumor mutation burden (TMB), tumor microsatellite instability (MSI), drug sensitivity, and pathway function enrichment were investigated in pan-carcinoma via TCGA and GTEx databases. Subsequently, the role of ANXA2P2 expression levels in the pathway enrichments and prognosis prediction in OV were further explored using weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) analysis, gene mutation analysis, and risk-independent prognostic analysis. Results: ANXA2P2 was frequently overexpressed in a variety of tumors compared with normal tissues. The correlation analysis for prognostic characteristics, tumor immune microenvironment, immune cell infiltration level, TMB, MSI, drug sensitivity, and pathway function enrichment revealed that ANXA2P2 expression patterns might deal a significant impact on the pathogenesis, development, and prognosis of various tumors. Then, GSVA, GSEA, WGCNA, gene mutation, and independent prognostic analysis for OV have indicated that high expression in ANXA2P2 could be mostly enriched in TNF-α signaling- via -NF-κB, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, apical junction, IL-6-JAK STAT3 signaling, etc., which were also proved to act as crucial factors on tumorigenesis, development, invasion, and metastasis. The mutation of TP53 (94%), TTN (24%), and CSMD3 (9%) in the biological process of tumor had been confirmed by relevant studies. Finally, the independent prognostic analysis demonstrated that ANXA2P2 expression in OV contributes greatly to the dependability of 3- and 5-year survival prediction. Conclusion: In summary, our findings might provide a helpful foundation for prospective explorative researches, afford new strategies for the clinical treatment, deal prognosis prediction, and give new hope for OV patients. This study investigated the relationships between parental responsiveness, teaching responsiveness, and creativity, as well as the mechanism underlying these associations. We collected data from 584 Chinese college students via convenience sampling method and used self-report scales to measure their perceived parental responsiveness, teaching responsiveness, creative self-efficacy, and creativity. We employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships among these variables and the mediation effect. The results revealed that both parental responsiveness and teaching responsiveness were positively related to student creativity. Moreover, creative self-efficacy mediated the relationships of parental responsiveness, teaching responsiveness, and creativity. The findings highlight the significance of responsiveness from parents and teachers on student creativity and verify the potential mediating role of creative self-efficacy. These findings suggest that teachers and parents can foster creativity by providing warm and supportive responses to students' creative needs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Creative idea generation engages complex cognitive functions such as working memory capacity (WMC). The relationship between creativity and WMC has remained inconsistent due to the lack of experimental evidence and the mismatching of WMC tasks and creativity measurements. Therefore, we used both measurements and experiments to explore the effects of WMC on creativity with the matching of task types considered. In Study 1, we conducted multiple measurements to explore the relationship between verbal/visuospatial WMC and verbal/figural creativity and found that participants with higher visuospatial WMC performed better in both types of creativity tasks. Furthermore, we conducted two dual task experiments in Study 2 to explore the causal effects of WMC on creativity. We found only interfering with participants' visuospatial WMC would significantly decrease their creative performances. Moreover, Study 3 ruled out the potential confounding factor of general attention resources in the visuospatial secondary tasks by using a control dual task experiment. These findings indicated that the creative thinking process is likely to rely on visuospatial processing regardless of the form of the presented information. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
