Heart failure (HF) is a complex and debilitating condition characterized by the heart's inability to pump blood effectively, leading to significant morbidity and mortality. The abnormality of immune response is a key factor in the progression of HF, contributing to adverse cardiac remodeling and dysfunction. Exosomal microRNAs (miRNAs) play a pivotal role in regulating gene expression and cellular function, which are integral to the crosstalk between cardiac and immune cells, influencing immune cell functions, such as macrophage polarization, T cell activity, and cytokine production, thereby modulating various pathological processes of HF, such as inflammation, fibrosis, and cardiac dysfunction. This review emphasizes the immune-regulatory role of exosomal miRNAs in HF and highlights their clinical potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic agents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (S-AKI) is a prevalent and severe clinical complication in intensive care units (ICUs) and is associated with high mortality and poor prognosis. The dysfunction of renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs), particularly through their metabolic reprogramming, plays a critical role in the onset and progression of S-AKI. CITED2 is shown to regulate a variety of cellular processes, but its specific impact on TECs metabolism and S-AKI pathogenesis remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of CITED2 in the metabolic reprogramming of TECs and its effects on inflammation and kidney injury in S-AKI. Material and Methods: The C57BL/6 mouse model of S-AKI was established using cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). We assessed the inflammatory responses, glucose metabolism and CITED2 expression in the kidneys of septic mice. Additionally, the effect of CITED2 on TECs metabolism and inflammation was evaluated using in vivo and in vitro models. CITED2 silencing and overexpression were employed to elucidate its regulatory role, focusing on the AKT signaling pathway. Results: S-AKI causes structural and functional kidney damage, aggravated inflammatory responses, and dysregulated glucose metabolism, accompanied by increased expression of CITED2. CITED2 silencing attenuated TECs metabolic dysfunction and reduced inflammation, thereby protecting the kidney from injury. Conversely, CITED2 overexpression exacerbated TECs metabolic dysfunction, promoted inflammatory responses, and worsened kidney injury. Mechanistically, CITED2 regulates TEC metabolism through the AKT signaling pathway, promoting S-AKI-related inflammation and contributing to kidney injury. Conclusion: CITED2 drives the metabolic reprogramming of TECs through the AKT signaling pathway, thereby aggravating the inflammatory response and leading to kidney injury, highlighting its critical role in S-AKI. In recent years, data mining technology has become increasingly popular, evolving into an independent discipline as research deepens. This study constructs and optimizes an association rule algorithm based on the Boolean vector (BV) inner product and ant colony optimization to enhance data mining efficiency. Frequent itemsets are extracted from the database by establishing BV and performing vector inner product operations. These frequent itemsets form the problem space for the ant colony algorithm, which generates the maximum frequent itemset. Initially, data from the total scores of players during the 2022–2024 regular season was analyzed to obtain the optimal lineup. The results obtained from the Apriori algorithm (AA) were used as a standard for comparison with the Confidence-Debiased Adversarial Fuzzy Apriori Method (CDAFAM), the AA based on deep learning (DL), and the proposed algorithm regarding their results and required time. A dataset of disease symptoms was then used to determine diseases based on symptoms, comparing accuracy and time against the original database as a standard. Finally, simulations were conducted using five batches of radar data from the observation platform to compare the time and accuracy of the four algorithms. The results indicate that both the proposed algorithm and the AA based on DL achieve approximately 10% higher accuracy compared with the traditional AA. Additionally, the proposed algorithm requires only about 25% of the time needed by the traditional AA and the AA based on DL for target recognition. Although the CDAFAM has a similar processing time to the proposed algorithm, its accuracy is lower. Numerical simulations are carried out to investigate the flow structure in the blade tip region of axial compressors. Various tip clearance heights and end wall motion conditions in a linear compressor cascade are studied to assess the effect of vorticity transport on the tip leakage flow (TLF). Moreover, the effect of vorticity transport on the TLF in a compressor rotor at different operating conditions is studied using delayed detached eddy simulation. The results show that the vorticity transport at both the blade tip and the end wall plays an important role in the roll-up and evolution of the tip leakage vortex (TLV), resulting in great impacts on the loss and stability of the TLV. It is found that the TLV is composed of a two-layer structure. The inner vortex core region formed by the vorticity transport from the blade tip shear layer to the TLV has a great effect on the strength and loss of the vortex, and the structure of the outer shear layer is altered by the secondary vortex formed by the vorticity transport from the end wall shear layer and thus affects the stability of the TLV. By the mechanism of the vorticity transport, the effects of the clearance height, the end wall motion, and the non-uniform clearance as a control method can be explained uniformly. The new understanding of the TLF structure and the vorticity transport mechanism helps to improve the performance of axial compressors by controlling the vorticity transport of the TLF. Vortical flow is generally considered to be a flow with a rotational trend, but vortex regions vary depending on the vortex identification methods by which they are extracted. In this paper, theoretical relationships between commonly used Q series vortex criteria, eigenvalue-based vortex criteria, and the Rortex method are analytically derived and built based on the local trace (LT) criterion ( L T cri ). The projections of vortex regions extracted by different vortex criteria onto the LT-plane constructed by L T cri are presented to graphically discuss their physical meanings and interrelations. The L T cri -based method reflects the local swirling patterns of flow and provides new interpretations of various vortex criteria in terms of local flow patterns. The simple vortex models, including Rankin vortex and Burgers' vortex, forced isotropic turbulence flow, and a compressor corner separation flow case with a practical Mach number, are tested and analyzed. The potential of the L T cri -based method is shown both by analyzing vortex dynamic properties and by distinguishing the different swirling patterns of complex vortices in tangle. The development and reasonable utilisation of wave energy have great realistic significance for solving environment pollution and energy crisis. A direct‐drive system with no middle conversion devices such as gear and turbine, which has a simple structure and good stability, is widely applied to wave power systems. First, the study analysed the structure of a tubular permanent magnet linear generator. The structure of short primary and long secondary is chosen for wave power systems because of the convenience of installation and higher power density. Then, based on finite‐element analysis, the structure of the generator is optimised by parametric analysis and genetic algorithm. A prototype is manufactured according to the optimised size, and the electromagnetic parameters are measured to verify the accuracy of simulation. Finally, a double floating direct‐drive wave power system is installed in the port of Lian Yungang, China, and the system is tested by still and dynamic water; the results show that the system can effectively convert wave energy into electricity. N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) is the most prevalent RNA modification in various types of RNA, including circular RNAs (circRNAs). Mounting evidence has shown that circRNAs may play critical roles in diverse malignancies. However, the biological relevance of m6A modification of circRNAs in prostate cancer (PCa) remains unclear and needs to be elucidated. Our data showed that circRBM33 was m6A-modified and was more highly expressed in PCa cells than in normal cells/tissues. The in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that downregulation/upregulation of circRBM33 inhibited/promoted tumour growth and invasion, respectively. Decreasing m6A levels rescued the tumour-promoting effect of circRBM33. Additionally, once modified by m6A, circRBM33 interacts with FMR1 by forming a binary complex that sustains the mRNA stability of PDHA1, a downstream target gene. Suppressed/overexpressed circRBM33 lowered/enhanced the ATP production, the acetyl-CoA levels and the NADH/NAD + ratio. Moreover, depletion of circRBM33 significantly increased the response sensitivity to androgen receptor signalling inhibitor (ARSI) therapy, including enzalutamide and darolutamide, in prostate tumours. Our study suggested that the m6A-mediated circRBM33-FMR1 complex can activate mitochondrial metabolism by stabilizing PDHA1 mRNA, which promotes PCa progression, and can attenuate circRBM33 increased ARSI effectiveness in PCa treatment. Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common malignancy in men worldwide. Growing evidence substantiates the important role of immunotherapy in human tumors. Given that immunotherapy is often unsatisfactory on PCa, many studies have been conducted on PCa immunotherapy to improve treatment efficacy. However, no relevant bibliometric study of PCa immunotherapy has hitherto been reported. A bibliometric analysis was performed to evaluate the global scientific production of PCa immunotherapy research and characterize the development trends for future studies in this article., Methods: The publications related to PCa immunotherapy were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection. The contribution and co-occurrence relationships of countries/regions, institutions, journals, references, authors, and keywords were assessed and visualized by VOSviewer and CiteSpace to identify research hotspots and potential future trends., Results: A total of 3,583 publications related to PCa immunotherapy from 1999 to 2021 were collected. The results of annual publications and citations exhibited a steady increase over the past 22 years. The National Cancer Institute in the USA published far more papers during the study than any institute. Accordingly, the USA had the most publications ( n = 1,954, 54.54%). Gulley, James L. had the most number of published papers, and Small, Eric J. was the most co-cited authors in this field. Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy was the most productive journal, with 145 publications on PCa immunotherapy. Keyword cluster and keyword burst analyses showed that research in PCa immunotherapy shifted from "t cell infiltration" and "sipuleucel t" to "immune checkpoint inhibitor", "CTLA-4", and "PD-L1 expression"., Conclusion: PCa immunotherapy has attracted much attention, reflected by the increasing number of annual publications and citations. Much emphasis has been placed on exploring the complex immunogenicity and tumor microenvironment for PCa and identifying the patient population who can benefit from immunotherapy. The effects of 5-methylcytosine in RNA (m5C) in various human cancers have been increasingly studied recently; however, the m5C regulator signature in prostate cancer (PCa) has not been well established yet. In this study, we identified and characterized a series of m5C-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in PCa. Univariate Cox regression analysis and least absolute shrinkage and selector operation (LASSO) regression analysis were implemented to construct a m5C-related lncRNA prognostic signature. Consequently, a prognostic m5C-lnc model was established, including 17 lncRNAs: MAFG-AS1 , AC012510.1 , AC012065.3 , AL117332.1 , AC132192.2 , AP001160.2 , AC129510.1 , AC084018.2 , UBXN10-AS1 , AC138956.2 , ZNF32-AS2 , AC017100.1 , AC004943.2 , SP2-AS1 , Z93930.2 , AP001486.2 , and LINC01135 . The high m5C-lnc score calculated by the model significantly relates to poor biochemical recurrence (BCR)-free survival ( p  < 0.0001). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and a decision curve analysis (DCA) further validated the accuracy of the prognostic model. Subsequently, a predictive nomogram combining the prognostic model with clinical features was created, and it exhibited promising predictive efficacy for BCR risk stratification. Next, the competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network and lncRNA-protein interaction network were established to explore the potential functions of these 17 lncRNAs mechanically. In addition, functional enrichment analysis revealed that these lncRNAs are involved in many cellular metabolic pathways. Lastly, M AFG-AS1 was selected for experimental validation; it was upregulated in PCa and probably promoted PCa proliferation and invasion in vitro . The circRNAs, a new subclass of non-coding RNAs that are catalyzed by RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), have been reported to be associated with the progression of multiple types of cancer. We previously discovered that heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L (HnRNP-L), a multi-functional RBP, is associated with pro-proliferation and anti-apoptosis activities in prostate tumor cells. In this study, we aim to establish the biological relevance of circCSPP1 (a newly discovered signature circRNA in prostate cancer [PCa]) and HnRNP-L to prostate cancer progression. First, we demonstrated that circCSPP1 expression was higher in prostate cancer tissues than in benign tissues and higher in prostate cancer cells than in benign cells. Then, the in vitro gain- and loss-of-function experiments showed that the circCSPP1 expression in prostate cancer cells was regulated by HnRNP-L, and the increased circCSPP1 significantly induced autophagy, which led to an enhanced potential in proliferation, migration, and invasion of prostate cancer cells. These results were consistent with the in vivo experiment where increased or decreased circCSPP1 was associated with higher or slower growth rate in grafted tumors. Finally, we demonstrated the potential competing endogenous RNA network, involving circCSPP1, miR-520h, and early growth response factor 1 ( EGR1 ), in prostate cancer cells, which may play an important role in prostate cancer progression. Our study indicated that the increase in circCSPP1 in prostate cancer, which may be catalyzed by HnRNP-L, can induce cellular autophagy through the circCSPP1-miR-520h- EGR1 axis, leading to the progression of prostate tumor. Prostate cancer (PCa) is a high morbidity malignancy in males, and biochemical recurrence (BCR) may appear after the surgery. Our study is designed to build up a risk score model using circular RNA sequencing data for PCa. The dataset is from the GEO database, using a cohort of 144 patients in Canada. We removed the low abundance circRNAs (FPKM < 1) and obtained 546 circRNAs for the next step. BCR-related circRNAs were selected by Logistic regression using the "survival" and "survminer" R package. Least absolute shrinkage and selector operation (LASSO) regression with 10-fold cross-validation and penalty was used to construct a risk score model by "glmnet" R software package. In total, eight circRNAs (including circ&#95;30029, circ&#95;117300, circ&#95;176436, circ&#95;112897, circ&#95;112897, circ&#95;178252, circ&#95;115617, circ&#95;14736, and circ&#95;17720) were involved in our risk score model. Further, we employed differentially expressed mRNAs between high and low risk score groups. The following Gene Ontology (GO) analysis were visualized by Omicshare Online tools. As per the GO analysis results, tumor immune microenvironment related pathways are significantly enriched. "CIBERSORT" and "ESTIMATE" R package were used to detect tumor-infiltrating immune cells and compare the level of microenvironment scores between high and low risk score groups. What's more, we verified two of eight circRNA's (circ&#95;14736 and circ&#95;17720) circular characteristics and tested their biological function with qPCR and CCK8 in vitro . circ&#95;14736 and circ&#95;17720 were detected in exosomes of PCa patients' plasma. This is the first bioinformatics study to establish a prognosis model for prostate cancer using circRNA.
