The present article seeks to provide a critical reflection of the Brazilian prison system in times of pandemic. From bibliographic review, documentary research, and journalistic news, it identifies how the precarious conditions of the prison units propitiate the expansion of the pandemic, exposing its inmates to the most varied rights violations, which most directly impact the black population. and poor, opening up structural racism in these environments. Demonstrate some of the measures used to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, which, although important, are limited in view of prison structures. Such elements explain the fundamentals of the imprisonment measures and the forms of capitalist control mobilized in the face of the surplus of workforce, and that in the context of a pandemic this condition is aggravated in prisons.

This article analyzes the guarantee of the right to conjugal visits in contexts of incarceration for women and adolescent girls in a prison and in a socio-educational incarceration institution in the state of Bahia (Brazil). As exploratory research, the objective of this article is to understand how the right to conjugal visits is guaranteed (or not), the perceptions about this right, the difficulties for its fulfillment and the intersections with strategies of body control and sexuality of adult women and adolescents who are deprived of their liberty. Based on data obtained from literature review, documentary analysis and interviews with part of the staff at the incarceration institutions, it is possible to grasp the perceptions about the right to conjugal visitation by incarcerated women and adolescent girls, and the peculiarities of its implementation given gender specificities. Este artículo analiza la garantía del derecho a las visitas conyugales en contextos de encarcelamiento de mujeres y adolescentes en una prisión y en una institución de encarcelamiento socioeducativa en el estado de Bahía (Brasil). Como investigación exploratoria, el objetivo de este artículo es comprender cómo se garantiza (o no) el derecho a las visitas conyugales, las percepciones sobre este derecho, las dificultades para su cumplimiento y las intersecciones con estrategias de control corporal y sexualidad de mujeres adultas y adolescentes privadas de libertad. A través de los datos obtenidos de la revisión de la literatura, el análisis documental y las entrevistas con parte del personal de las instituciones de encarcelamiento, es posible comprender las percepciones sobre el derecho a las visitas conyugales de mujeres y adolescentes encarceladas y las peculiaridades de su implementación dadas las especificidades de género. This article analyzes different ways of nominating that the Brazilian prison system establishes to mention the subject that lives in a freedom deprived prison system. Furthermore, we are mainly guided by the theoretical basis of the French Discourse Analysis, in an attempt to understand the meaning effects that arise from each lexical choice. The focus is on the Extension Project of the Law Course at the University of the West of Santa Catarina entitled “Law and Jail - Remission by Reading”, established and supported by the Criminal Execution Law (BRAZIL, 2011), Recommendation n. 44 (CNJ, 2013), Guiding Principles of the National Guidelines for Education in Criminal Establishments (BRAZIL, 2010) and the State Prison Education Plan 2016-2026: Education, Prison and Freedom, Possible Dialogues (SANTA CATARINA, 2017). Thus, these normative frameworks for Education in Prisons in Brazil and in Santa Catarina are analyzed discursively, regarding the nomination of the subjects behind bars, seeking to understand the implication of making sense in the discursive processes of the nominations on law textuality choices. Through the linguistic analysis of the corpus materiality, there are signs of how the nominations are marked by power structures, rooted, crystallized and naturalized in society, which are perpetuated for centuries.

O presente estudo apresenta resultados do projeto de pesquisa intitulado: Inser- ção de Egressos do Sistema Prisional no Mercado Formal de Trabalho: oportu- nidades reais de inclusão social ou manutenção de uma classe excluída? Tem, ainda, o intuito de avaliar os resultados do Projeto Regresso, executado pelo Programa de Inclusão Social de Egressos do Sistema Prisional (PrEsp) e Minas Pela Paz (MPP), o qual visa à integração do egresso do sistema prisional no mercado formal de trabalho, por meio de parcerias estabelecidas pelo governo estadual e a iniciativa privada. Para isso, este estudo faz uma abordagem ex - ploratória, com análise documental sobre o Projeto, realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com representantes das empresas parceiras, do PrEsp, MPP e egressos contratados.

The Brazilian prison system has suffering overcrowding and this reflects directly on the health condition of the prison population, and aggravated by socio-economic, cultural and behavioral factors. In this sense, through a literature review this study aimed to examine how happens to health care in that setting and the formulation and implantation of the National Policy for Integral Health Care of Persons Deprived of Liberty in the Prison System (PNAISP). It instituted, among other measures, the formal inclusion of the prison population in the Unified Health System, ensuring that each prison unit is a point of the Care Network Health. The implantation of PNAISP is new, so it’s in structuring and accession it's on process in several municipalities in Brazil. It is a very important policy, though its realization requires the development of actions tha t provide higher quality of life and dignity of persons in prison system.
