Search

Active galactic nuclei (AGN) are the most energetic objects known in the universe. Their fantastic luminosity is due to efficient conversion of gravitational energy of mass accreted on super-massive black-holes at the center of galaxy. About 10% of AGN are even more incredible as they display relativistic jets on galaxy scales. Those jets are observed at all energies, from far radio to the highest gamma-rays. Despite intense study since their discovery in the 50's and more and more observations, encouraged by rapid progress in instrumentation, AGN are still widely misunderstood. The questions of formation, composition, and acceleration of jets are central but still a matter of debates. Models aiming at reproducing observed emission have been developed throughout the years. The most common one, the one-zone model, often relies on ad-hoc hypothesis and does not provide a satisfactory answer.The two-flow paradigm developed at IPAG and based on an original idea from Sol et al (1989) aims at giving a more coherent and physical representation of AGN jets. The principal assumption is that jets are actually composed of two coaxial flows: an inner spine made of a pure pair plasma, moving at relativistic speed and responsible for the non-thermal observed emission surrounded by an external sheath, made of a baryonic MHD plasma, mildly relativistic but carrying most of the power. The two-flow paradigm finds roots in observations as well as theoretical arguments and has been able to explain many AGN features.During my PhD, I studied this paradigm and contributed to the development of a numerical model based on its concepts. I have been particularly interested in the inverse Compton scattering of thermal photons, fundamental process in the modeling of AGN emission, as well as the Compton rocket effect, key to the acceleration of the spine in the two-flow paradigm.However, taking completely into account the inverse Compton emission can be very time consuming. To accomplish fast and efficient computation of the external Compton emission, I have had to formulate new analytical approximations of the scattering of a thermal distribution of photons.I have also studied the Compton rocket effect, responsible for the acceleration of the inner spine in the two-flow paradigm. I showed that the resulting bulk Lorentz factor of the flow in the complex photon field of an AGN is subject to variations along the jet as a function of the distance to the central engine. These variations can have drastic effects on the observed emission and could induce variability, both spatially and temporally.I also showed that the terminal bulk Lorentz factor obtained are compatible with physical conditions expected in jets and with observations.The complete model produce spectral energy distribution (SED) comparable to observed ones. However, the model is by nature erratic and it is difficult to make a direct link between the model parameters (input) and the SED (output). Unfortunately, standard data fitting procedures (e.g. based on gradient methods) are not adapted to the model due to its important number of parameters, its important computing time and its non-linearity. In order to circumvent this issue, I have developed a fitting tool based on genetic algorithms. The application of this algorithm allowed me to successfully fit several SED. In particular, I have also showed that the model, because based on a structured jet model, can reproduce observations with low bulk Lorentz factor, thus giving hope to match observations and theoretical requirements in this matter., Les noyaux actifs de galaxie (NAG) sont les objets les plus énergétiques de l’univers. Cette incroyable puissance provient de l’énergie gravitationnelle de matière en rotation autour d’un trou noir super-massif siégeant au centre des galaxies. Environ 10% des NAG sont pourvus de jets relativistes émanant de l’objet central (trou noir et matière environnante) et s’étalant sur des échelles de l’ordre de la galaxie hôte. Ces jets sont observés à toutes les longueurs d’ondes, de la radio aux rayons gamma les plus énergétiques. En dépit de nombreuses études et d’instruments de plus en plus précis depuis leur découverte dans les années 1950, les NAG sont encore très mal compris et la formation, la composition et l’accélération des jets sont des questions pleinement ouvertes. Le modèle le plus répandu visant à reproduire l’émission des NAG, le modèle "une zone", repose souvent sur des hypothèses ad hoc et ne parvient pas à apporter une modélisation satisfaisante.Le paradigme du “two-flow” (deux fluides) développé à l’IPAG, et fondé sur une idée originale de Sol et al. (1989), a pour but de fournir une vision unifiée et cohérente des jets de NAG. Cette théorie repose sur une l’hypothèse principale que les jets seraient en fait composés de deux fluides co-axiaux. La colonne centrale composée d’un plasma purement leptonique (électrons/positrons) se déplaçant à des vitesses relativistes est responsable de la grande partie de l’émission non thermique observée. Elle est entourée d’une enveloppe composée d’un plasma baryonique (électrons/protons), régie par la magnéto- hydrodynamique, se déplaçant à des vitesses sous-relativistes mais transportant la majorité de l’énergie. Cette hypothèse s’appuie sur des indices observationnels ainsi que sur des arguments théoriques et permet d’expliquer nombre des caractéristiques des NAG.Afin d’étudier plus en profondeur le paradigme du two-flow, un modèle numérique établie sur ses concepts et produisant des observables comparables aux observations est nécessaire. Durant ma thèse, j’ai participé au développement de ce modèle, m’intéressant notamment à la diffusion Compton inverse de photons provenant de l’extérieur du jet. Ce processus, primordial dans la modélisation des NAG, est aussi central dans le paradigme du two-flow car il est à l’origine de l’accélération de la colonne via l’effet fusée Compton. Pour cela, j’ai du développer de nouvelles approximations analytiques de la diffusion Compton d’une distribution thermique de photons.En m’intéressant à l’effet fusée Compton, j’ai pu montrer que dans le champ de photons thermiques d’un NAG, le facteur de Lorentz d’ensemble du plasma pouvait être sujet à des variations le long du jet en fonction de la distance à l’objet central. Ces variations peuvent avoir un effet important sur l’émission observée et peuvent induire de la variabilité spatiale et temporelle. J’ai également montré que les facteurs de Lorentz terminaux obtenus étaient compatibles avec les conditions physiques attendues dans les jets et avec les observations.Le modèle complet produit des densités spectrales d’énergies (DES) directement com- parables aux observations. Néanmoins, le modèle est par nature erratique et il est quasiment impossible de relier directement les paramètres du modèles avec les DES produites. Malheureusement, les procédures standards d’adaptation automatique aux données (e.g. les méthodes de gradient) ne sont pas adaptées au modèle du fait de son grand nombre de paramètres, de sa non-linéarité et du temps de calcul important. Afin de pallier ce problème, j’ai développé une procédure d’adaptation automatique s’appuyant sur les algorithmes génétiques. L’utilisation de cet outil a permis la reproduction de plusieurs DES par le modèle. J’ai également montré que le modèle était capable de reproduire les DES observées avec des facteurs de Lorentz d’ensemble relativement bas, ce qui pour- rait potentiellement apporter une harmonisation entre les observations et les nécessités théoriques.

This manuscript is about high energy gamma-ray astronomy (between ~30 MeV and ~300 GeV) with the Fermi-LAT satellite and very high energy gamma-ray astronomy (above ~100GeV) via the H.E.S.S. experiment. The second phase of the H.E.S.S. experiment began in July 2012 with the inauguration of a fifth 28m-diameter telescope added to the intial array composed of four 12m-diameter imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes. In the first part of this thesis, we present the development of an analysis in hybrid mode based on a multivariate method dedicated to detect and study sources with different spectral shapes and the first analysis results on real data. The second part is dedicated to the research of blazar candidates among the Fermi-LAT unidentified sources of the 2FGL catalog. A first development is based on a multivariate approach using discriminant parameters built with the 2FGL catalog parameters. A second development is done with the use of the WISE satellite catalog and a non-parametric technic in order to find the blazar-like infrared counterparts of the unidentified sources of the 2FGL catalog., Ce manuscrit traite d'astronomie gamma de haute énergie (entre ~30 MeV et ~300 GeV) par l'intermédiaire du satellite Fermi-LAT et d'astronomie gamma de très haute énergie (au-delà de ~100 GeV) via l'expérience H.E.S.S. La seconde phase de l'expérience H.E.S.S. a débuté en juillet 2012 avec l'ajout d'un cinquième télescope de 28 mètres de diamètre au réseau initialement constitué de quatre télescopes de 12 mètres de diamètre d'imagerie atmosphérique Tcherenkov. Dans la première partie de cette thèse, nous présentons le développement d'une analyse en mode hybride basée sur une méthode multivariée dédiée à la détection et à l'étude de sources ayant des caractéristiques spectrales différentes ainsi que les premiers résultats des analyses de données réelles. La seconde partie est dédiée à la recherche des candidats blazars parmi les sources non identifiées du Fermi-LAT du catalogue 2FGL. Un premier travail est consacré à l'identification des candidats blazars à l'aide de méthodes multivariées utilisant des variables discriminantes construites à partir des paramètres du catalogue 2FGL. Dans un second temps, à l'aide du catalogue de sources infrarouges obtenues par le satellite WISE et d'une méthode non-paramétrique nous recherchons les contreparties de type blazars des sources non-identifiées.

Powerful radio galaxies are excellent candidates for investigating and ultimately understanding the formation and evolution of galaxies. These beacons are now observed out to z>5 and are commonly associated with the massive early-type galaxies observed in the local universe. While the radio emission reveals the presence of a supermassive black hole, a dusty parsec-scale torus acts like a natural coronograph, making it easier to study the properties of the host galaxy. The aim of this PhD thesis is to characterise the nature and evolution of the stellar population and the relationship between the stellar population and the active galactic nucleus (AGN). To reach our scientific goals, we use the galaxy evolution code, PEGASE, combined with a AGN model which both consider the radiative transfer of the UV, optical, and IR photons through dust. To begin, we present the HeRGE project consisting of 70 radio galaxies which have been observed with Herschel. These IR observations allow us to calculate the total infrared luminosities and reveal that our sample belongs to the ULIRG regime. We decompose the infrared SED into an AGN and starburst components using observational templates. Converted into accretion and star formation rate, their relative luminosities indicate that the black holes are growing proportionally faster than are the host galaxies.In addition, we constrain the configuration of the jet and torus by combining the results from mid-infrared spectral energy distribution (SED), and the radio emission from the lobes (isotropic at 500MHz) and the core (anisotropic at 20GHz). In agreement with the unified scheme, these observations allow us to estimate the absorption Av, the inclination of the torus, and provides a constraint on the Lorentz factor for the radio jet.A subsample of 12 radio galaxies observed from the UV to sub-mm is also analysed with PEGASE.3 and an AGN torus model. While one stellar component is clearly insufficient to fit the observations, two stellar components are necessary to successfully reproduce the SED (one evolved and massive, about 10^12 msun, formed over a reasonably short time, 5 en raison de leur brillance, elles sont abritées par des galaxies elliptiques géantes. My main thesis work is to understand the origin of molecular Hydrogen (H2 ) emission in active phases of galaxy evolution. Spitzer space telescope observations reveal a new class of H2 -luminous galaxies with enhanced H2 line emission but where star formation is strongly sup- pressed. This is in sharp contrast with what is observed in standard star forming galaxies. The Stephan's Quintet (SQ) galaxy collision is a striking example I initially focus on. We present a scenario and a detailed model to account for the presence of H2 in the SQ giant shock, to characterize its physical state, and to describe its role as a cooling agent of a violent phase of galaxy interactions. In this scenario, the dissipation of the mechanical energy of the collision produces a multiphase medium where molecular gas fragments coexist with a hot ( ∼ 5 × 10^6 K), X-ray emitting plasma. Our model quantifies the gas cooling, dust destruction, H2 formation and emission in the postshock multiphase gas. The dynamical interaction between the ISM phases drives a cycle where H2 is formed out of atomic gas that cools, and is excited repeatedly before being destroyed. A cascade of energy is associated with this cycle, in which the mechanical energy powers supersonic turbulence within the molecular gas. The H2 emission is associated with the dissipation of this turbulent energy. New results of mid-infrared and radio observations in the SQ shock are presented. These observations reveal that dust and CO emission gas is associated with the warm H2 seen by Spitzer, and that this gas is in an unusual physical state where star formation is suppressed. In addition, to test the scenario proposed for the formation of H2 in the SQ shock, I carry on a detailed observational study and modeling of the dust emission from the H2 gas. Observational perspectives with the Herschel satellite are discussed. These observations suggest that H2 contributes significantly to the energy bugdet of galaxies which are in key phases of their evolution (galaxy interaction, gas accretion in galaxy clusters, starburst or AGN feedback). My thesis work is a first step to understand the role that molecular gas plays in galaxy evolution. Our model developped for SQ is extended to the context of radio galaxies, which allow for the first time to peer at the impact of the AGN-driven jet on the multiphase ISM of the host galaxy. A natural extension of this work is the characterization of the energetics of galactic winds (in the M82 starburst galaxy for instance) and in AGN-driven winds recently discovered in high-redshift radio-galaxies. This thesis includes the tools to perform a detailed modeling of Spitzer and upcoming Herschel data. Besides this work, as a member of the JWST/MIRI consortium, I also report my contribution to the optical performance tests of the MIRI instrument, which will extend the study of H2 -luminous galaxies to high redshifts. The observational and theoretical work presented in this manuscript may help to develop a phenomenological ”recipe” of the impact of H2 on the energetics of galaxy evolution. This work will certainly be helpful for the preparation of future observing programs aiming at testing this phenomenology directly, thanks to spectroscopy of high-redshift galaxies with the JWST and SPICA missions.; Ce travail est dédié à la compréhension de l'émission du dihydrogène (H2 ) dans les phases actives de l'évolution des galaxies. La découverte d'une nouvelle population de sources extragalactiques avec un spectre dans l'infrarouge moyen dominé par les raies d'émission de H2 est un résultat inattendu des observations spectroscopiques du satellite Spitzer. La faiblesse des bandes d'émission des poussières et des raies du gaz ionisé par rapport à celles de H2 indique la présence de grandes quantités de gaz H2 (jusqu‘à 10^10 M⊙ au centre des amas de galaxies) avec peu de formation d'étoiles, contrairement à ce qui est observée dans les galaxies standard. Une interprétation physique de l'émission H2 associée à une collision à grande vitesse (1000 km/s) entre galaxies dans le Stephan's Quintet (SQ) est d'abord présentée. La dissipation de l'énergie cinétique de la collision crée un milieu multi phases où des fragments de gaz molécu- laire coexistent avec un plasma de gaz chaud (∼ 5 × 10^6 K) émetteur en rayons X. Notre interprétation relie la structure multi phases du gaz post-choc à la structure en densité du gaz pré-choc. L'interaction dynamique entre les phases entretient un cycle où H2 se forme à partir de gaz atomique chaud qui se refroidit puis est excité de manière répétée avant d'être détruit. A ce cycle est associée une cascade énergétique où l'énergie cinétique du gaz alimente une turbulence supersonique dans le gaz moléculaire. Le rayonnement H2 est associé à la dissipation de l'énergie turbulente. Les résultats de nouvelles observations moyen-infrarouge et radio dans le choc de SQ sont présentés. L'émission de la poussière et du gaz CO associé au gaz H2 est détectée. Le gaz CO est extrêmement turbulent, ce qui pourrait expliquer pourquoi la formation stellaire est si peu efficace dans cet environnement. Pour tester notre interprétation de l'émission de H2 , les résultats de la modélisation de l'émission de la poussière associée au gaz H2 , ainsi que les perspectives observationelles apportées par le satellite Herschel, sont discutés. Ces observations et ce travail théorique inscrivent l'étude du gaz moléculaire dans le cadre de la formation et de l'évolution des galaxies. Les mêmes caractéristiques d'émission H2 sont observées dans les interactions entre galaxies, la rétroaction de la formation stellaire et celle des noyaux actifs de galaxies sur le milieu interstellaire, ainsi que l'accrétion de gaz dans les amas. Un dénominateur commun de ces phases violentes de l'évolution des galaxies est la libération d'énergie mécanique en quantité suffisante pour affecter globalement le milieu interstellaire. Cette interprétation est étendue à l'émission H2 des radio-galaxies où le jet relativiste est la source d'énergie mécanique. Dans les deux cas, le gaz moléculaire apparaît comme un acteur de l'évolution dynamique des galaxies en amont de la formation stellaire. Cette thèse présente également un travail d'analyse des tests de qualité optique réalisés au CEA sur l'instrument MIRI, une caméra moyen-infrarouge qui sera intégrée sur le futur télescope spatial JWST. Cet instrument permettra d'étendre ce travail de thèse à haut redshift, pour comprendre l'impact du gaz moléculaire sur l'évolution des galaxies lorsque l'Univers était plus jeune. Cette étude servira de base pour de futurs programmes d'observations avec le JWST.

La faiblesse des bandes d'émission des poussières et des raies du gaz ionisé par rapport à celles de H2 indique la présence de grandes quantités de gaz H2 (jusqu‘à 10^10 M⊙ au centre des amas de galaxies) avec peu de formation d'étoiles, contrairement à ce qui est observée dans les galaxies standard. Une interprétation physique de l'émission H2 associée à une collision à grande vitesse (1000 km/s) entre galaxies dans le Stephan's Quintet (SQ) est d'abord présentée. La dissipation de l'énergie cinétique de la collision crée un milieu multi phases où des fragments de gaz molécu- laire coexistent avec un plasma de gaz chaud (∼ 5 × 10^6 K) émetteur en rayons X. Notre interprétation relie la structure multi phases du gaz post-choc à la structure en densité du gaz pré-choc. L'interaction dynamique entre les phases entretient un cycle où H2 se forme à partir de gaz atomique chaud qui se refroidit puis est excité de manière répétée avant d'être détruit. A ce cycle est associée une cascade énergétique où l'énergie cinétique du gaz alimente une turbulence supersonique dans le gaz moléculaire. Le rayonnement H2 est associé à la dissipation de l'énergie turbulente. Les résultats de nouvelles observations moyen-infrarouge et radio dans le choc de SQ sont présentés. L'émission de la poussière et du gaz CO associé au gaz H2 est détectée. Le gaz CO est extrêmement turbulent, ce qui pourrait expliquer pourquoi la formation stellaire est si peu efficace dans cet environnement. Pour tester notre interprétation de l'émission de H2 , les résultats de la modélisation de l'émission de la poussière associée au gaz H2 , ainsi que les perspectives observationelles apportées par le satellite Herschel, sont discutés. Ces observations et ce travail théorique inscrivent l'étude du gaz moléculaire dans le cadre de la formation et de l'évolution des galaxies. Les mêmes caractéristiques d'émission H2 sont observées dans les interactions entre galaxies, la rétroaction de la formation stellaire et celle des noyaux actifs de galaxies sur le milieu interstellaire, ainsi que l'accrétion de gaz dans les amas. Un dénominateur commun de ces phases violentes de l'évolution des galaxies est la libération d'énergie mécanique en quantité suffisante pour affecter globalement le milieu interstellaire. Cette interprétation est étendue à l'émission H2 des radio-galaxies où le jet relativiste est la source d'énergie mécanique. Dans les deux cas, le gaz moléculaire apparaît comme un acteur de l'évolution dynamique des galaxies en amont de la formation stellaire. Cette thèse présente également un travail d'analyse des tests de qualité optique réalisés au CEA sur l'instrument MIRI, une caméra moyen-infrarouge qui sera intégrée sur le futur télescope spatial JWST. Cet instrument permettra d'étendre ce travail de thèse à haut redshift, pour comprendre l'impact du gaz moléculaire sur l'évolution des galaxies lorsque l'Univers était plus jeune. Cette étude servira de base pour de futurs programmes d'observations avec le JWST.

In the recent years, majors surveys have been collecting several ten thousands of QSO spectra, demonstrating the high efficiency of optical color pre-selection techniques and providing a new level of statistics in describing the properties of the QSO population. The drawback of these pre-selection techniques is that some subset of the underlying QSO population may be under-represented in these survey thereby possibly biasing our current understanding.This ph D thesis is devoted to the study of the properties of the faint population of type-1 AGN. For this purpose we use a spectroscopic sample of 130 broad line AGN, extracted from a large galaxy survey, the VIRMOS VLT Deep Survey (VVDS). This AGN sample present two-major interests: (1) a selection function free of pre-selection biases, which enables us to census the population of optical type-1 AGN from redshift 0 to 5 in a coherent way; (2) a very faint limiting magnitude (respectively Iab=22.5 and Iab=24 for the wide and deep sample) that was previously reached for catalogs of this size only by photometric studies.Our measured surface density (~472+/-48 BLAGN per square degree with Iab Because of the contamination of the AGN light by their host galaxy at the faint magnitude explored by our sample, we observe that a significant fraction of AGN in our sample would be missed by the usual UV excess and morphological criteria used for the pre-selection of optical QSO candidates. This contamination is as well seen in our composite spectrum. We observe an extension of the anti-correlation between luminosity and equivalent-width of high-ionization emission-lines to the fainter luminosities probed by our sample for a given redshift (Baldwin effect).The luminosity function derived from this sample shows a relatively steep faint end at low redshift (11.5). This behavior fit into the picture of an anti-hierarchical growth of galactic black holes, as it was first suggested by X-ray selected AGN studies.Preliminary results on the black hole mass estimates of our objects suggest that most of faint optical AGN are triggered by intermediate-mass galactic black-holes (~100 million of solar mass) accreting at relatively low Eddington rates (~< 10%).; Ces dernières années les principaux relevés cosmologiques ont collectés plusieurs dizaines de milliers de spectres de noyaux actifs de galaxies (connus aussi sous l'abréviation anglaise AGN), illustrant ainsi la grande éfficacité des techniques de pré-sélections optiques de candidat AGN. Ils ont ainsi permis une étude statistique détaillée de la population d'AGN.Le revers de ces techniques de pré-sélection est que certaines catégories de la population globale des AGN optiques sont peut-être sous-représentées dans ces échantillons, biaisant notre compréhension actuelle de l'évolution de ces objets.Cette thèse de doctorat est dédiée à l'étude des propriétés des AGN de type 1 de faible luminosité. Dans ce but nous utilisons un échantillon spectroscopique de 130 AGN à raiesd'émission larges, extrait d'un grand relevé de galaxie: le VIRMOS VLT Deep Survey (VVDS).Cet échantillon présente un intérêt unique, de part la simplicité des critères de pré-sélection de ces objets (une simple limite en magnitude) ainsi que par la profondeur en magnitude atteinte: il fournit d'une part un aperçu des propriétés des AGN de type 1 à des magnitudes encore peu explorées spectroscopiquement (les AGN étudiés ici sont jusqu'à cent fois plus faibles que ceux du SDSS) et il permet d'autre part de quantifier les biais qui seraient introduits par des critères classiques de sélection.Nous mesurons une densité sur le ciel d'environ 470 AGN par degré carré à notre magnitude limite (Iab=24). Une fraction importante des AGN que nous observons ne serait pas sélectionée par les techniques de sélections morphologiques et d'excès d'UV classiquement appliquées. Nous attribuons cet effet à la contamination de nos AGN par leur galaxie hôte, vue leur faible luminosité. La fonction de luminosité des AGN montre qu'il y a relativement plus d'AGN de faible luminosité à bas redshift qu'á plus grand redshift. Cette observation corrobore le scénario de croissance anti-hierarchique de trous-noirs galactiques suggéré par les echantillons d'AGN sélectionnés en rayons-X.Finalement nous nous sommes intéressés à la nature des trous noirs qui sont à l'origine de nos AGN. S'agit-il de petits trous noirs galactiques ou bien, au contraire, de trous noirs de grandes masses accrétant faiblement ?Nos résultats, encore préliminaires, suggèrent que nos AGN correspondent en moyenne à des trous noirs galactique de masses intermediaires (~100 millions de masses solaires) accrétant à des taux d'Eddington modeste (~< 10%).

Winds and jets are one of most spectacular and enigmatic high energy phenomena in astrophysics. Such outflows are associated with objets ranging from newly born stars embedded in dense molecular clouds and binary systems in our galaxy to supermassive black holes in the center of active galactic nuclei. Nevertheless, despite the development of X-Ray and $\gamma$-Ray astronomy as the result of various spatial missions (ROSAT, ASCA, Chandra, XMM-Newton for X-Ray and INTEGRAL for $\gamma$ Ray), the problems of formation and acceleration of jet have not been fully resolved. In this thesis, we have study some dynamical mechanisms which can be responsible for the universality of the phenomenon and for the similarity of outflows that occur on vastly different scales. To this end, we used hydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamics in general relativity to analyze as this is generally done in astrophysical plasmas characterised by large spatial and temporal scales. Initially, we started by studying hydrodynamic spherical winds in which we neglected the magnetic effects. We generalized the model of Parker to general relativity by introducing a new polytropic equation of state with a variable effective polytropic index, appropriate to describe relativistic temperatures close to the central object and non relativistic ones further away. Relativistic effects introduced by the Schwarzschild metric and the presence of relativistic temperatures in the corona are compared with previous results for a constant effective polytropic index and also with results of the classical wind theory. We showed with our new equation of state, that the thermal and gravity effects are coupled allowing an increase of the acceleration efficiency of the thermal wind. We also showed the necessity to use this new polytrope to study relativistic winds, because of the consistent treatment of flows near compact objects. Secondly, we worked on new analytical models of relativistic jets emitted by the central corona around a Schwarzschild black hole. The models were developed using meridional self-similar methods which are adequate in modelising the central jet. In, the first model we have neglected the light cylinder effects comparatively with thermal effects in the outflow. This allowed us to better appreciate the role of the thermal effects in the formation and acceleration of jets. We studied the evolution of solutions obtained with this model when gravity increases and found the application limits of this model. We have also check that the classification of the jets of active galactic nuclei proposed by Sauty et al. (2001) can be extended to the relativistic jets. In this classification the jet from FRII (active galaxies with a strong radio emission) are characterised by high luminosity with well collimated and powerful jets. These jets correspond in our model to solutions collimated by magnetic forces. Conversely, jets from FRI (active galaxies with a strong radio emission also and radio lobes instead of hot spots) are characterised by collimated jet and a rich environment. The collimation of these jets seems to be induced by the external medium. In our models, ther is a refocalisation of the jet characterized by a strong collimation and deceleration of the jet. To study these two types of jets we developed a new method to estimate the free parameters of the model. In this method, we have related the proprieties of the jet in the asymptotic region with the proprieties of the jet on to the disk corona. We found that a weak decrease on the rotation speed of the accretion disk allow to change the proprieties of the jet from FRII type to FRI type. On the other hand, we also found that relativistic thermal outflows are formed when the rotation speed of the corona is sub-keplerian. We developed also a second meridional self-similar model by taking into account effects of the light cylinder. To treat the problem of the light cylinder with the self-similar hypothesese, it is necessary to consider a jet which has a singularity on the polar axis and which is empty in the center. We started the study of this model for some specific solutions that are characterised by a light cylinder close to the Alfvén surface. This model allows us to examine the Poynting flux acceleration of jets, contrary to the previous model. We also studied the decollimation effects of the light cylinder on the jets. We found that the poloidal velocity in these jets remain weak, of the order of $0.6c$. This weak poloidal velocity is caused by the relativistic toroidal velocity in the jet which is of the order of $0.8c$. In fact, the proximity of the light cylinder to the Alfvén surface and the fast increase of the angular velocity towards the polar axis, induce the relativistic toroidal velocity near the polar axis where the acceleration is more efficient. Lastly, we began the development of a numerical code to solve steady and time-dependent MHD equations. The numerical code is developed by using the library LORENE in C++ which is based on spectral methods. It enabled us, in a first step, to treat the spherical hydrodynamic winds and to recover our analytical 1D solution. The code showed its robustness to cross the sonic transition - which is a strong singularity - and to treat the elliptic and hyperbolic domains simultaneously. We developed an algorithm that allows the treatment of the strong variations of the density close to the black hole., Les vents et les jets sont un des phénomènes les plus répandu et spectaculaire en astrophysique des hautes énergies. En effet, une variété d'objets astrophysiques exhibent des écoulements aussi bien sous forme de vents que de jets fortement collimatés. Ils sont observés dans les étoiles jeunes, les noyaux actifs de galaxies (AGN), les étoiles à neutrons et les étoiles de la séquence principale. Cependant, malgré l'abondance des jets en astrophysique, le problème de la formation et de la collimation de ces écoulements reste ouvert. Différents modèles sont proposés pour résoudre ce problème. La plupart de ces modèles sont développés dans la limite newtonienne. Nous avons, dans cette thèse, élaboré des modèles hydrodynamiques et magnétohydrodynamiques en relativité générale pour analyser les différents mécanismes d'accélération et de collimation des écoulements aussi bien relativistes que classiques. Nous avons étudié les solutions d'écoulements purement hydrodynamique sphérique avec une équation d'état polytropique généralisée. Nous nous sommes intéressés aux effets de changement de l'état de la matière dans les écoulements sur l'accélération thermique, lorsqu'elle subit des grandes variations de température. Nous avons montré qu'avec notre nouvelle équation d'état, les effets de la gravité et thermique sont couplés, permettant une plus grande efficacité de l'accélération du vent. Nous avons aussi montré la nécessité de l'utilisation de ce nouveau polytrope plus cohérent dans le traitement des écoulements relativistes polytropiques. Dans la deuxième partie de la thèse, nous avons développé un modèle d'écoulement axial magnétisé 2.5D. La température élevée du plasma dans la couronne centrale due à la gravité élevée et la proximité de l'axe de rotation nous ont permis de négliger, dans un premier temps, les effets du cylindre de lumière comparativement aux effets thermiques. Dans ce cadre, nous avons montré que les effets relativistes favorisent l'accélération thermique au détriment de la collimation magnétique. Nous avons aussi montré l'importance de l'expansion initiale du jet sur l'efficacité de l'accélération du jet dans la partie basse. D'autre part, nous avons étudié les effets de la rotation relativiste sur la collimation du jet. Nous avons aussi utilisé le modèle pour déduire quelques différences entres les propriétés intrinsèques des jets d'AGN de type FRI et de FRII. Nous avons trouvé que les jets des FRI se caractérisés par une faible vitesse de rotation à la base et qu'asymptotiquement, ils sont confinés par le milieu ambiant. Par contre, les jets des FRII sont caractérisés par une vitesse de rotation à la base plus élevée que celle des jets de FRI, qui reste cependant sub-keplerienne. De plus, les jets des FRII s'auto-collimatent par leur propre champ magnétique. Nous avons développé un troisième modèle de jet dans le cas des rotateurs relativistes. En premier lieu, ce modèle nous a permis de mieux traiter les jets accélérés par le flux de Poynting contrairement au modèle précédent. Nous avons aussi étudié les effets du cylindre de lumière sur la collimation du jet et confirmé qu'il tend à décollimater ce dernier. D'autre part, nous avons trouvé que, dans les solutions caractérisés par un cylindre de lumière proche de la surface d'Alfvén, la rotation relativiste dans ces jets limite l'accélération de ces derniers. En effet, dans les solutions que nous avons étudiées, les vitesses poloïdales obtenues restent faibles, de l'ordre de $0.6c$. Nous avons aussi amorcé un code de simulation numérique d'écoulements relativistes utilisant la bibliothèque LORENE. Dans la thèse nous avons commencé à tester le code dans le cas simple de vents purement hydrodynamiques sphériques.
