Lutan Lake in Palangkaraya is one of the most important oxbow lakes for the people of Palangka Raya. The many water resources with high economic value in Lutan Lake require sustainable management to maintain their quality. One of the indicators for determining lake water quality is the analysis of bio-indicators and water’s physical and chemical quality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of lake water using the presence of biological indicators such as plankton and water quality parameters. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The sampling was carried out at four stations with two-time variations, i.e., at 04.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. Based on the study’s results, it was found that the quality of Lutan lake water for classes I, III, and IV were included in the lightly polluted category. For class II, it was in the moderately polluted category. The plankton parameter shows that the index of phytoplankton and zooplankton diversity looks low with an indication of an unstable aquatic ecosystem due to the dominance of species which indicated the condition of the waters of Lake Luta has been polluted.

Ending hunger is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that must be achieved to achieve prosperity. The supply of these food needs connects with human dwelling requirements. Numerous technologies have been developed to solve these difficulties. One of these technologies is minapadi, which uses land effectively. For sustainability objectives to be realized, using such technology must preserve environmental quality. This research intends to assess changes in water quality resulting from the usage of minapadi, as well as fish osmosis performance in minapadi. This research is performed to determine the effect of minapadi technology on water and fish. Samberembe Sleman is the location that has been adopting minapadi for a long time and is the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) pilot site. In order to acquire data for use in computing the Tropic Saprobity Index, the minapadi water of Samberembe was collected monthly for four months during the study. Blood samples from tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were collected in the fourth month to determine osmotic performance levels. The acquired findings have the highest SI value of 0.986 and the lowest SI value of 0.968. The state of β (meso/oligo saprobik) has the highest TSI value with a value of 1.011, while the state has the lowest TSI value with a value of 0.995 β (meso saprobik). Iso-hyperosmotic is the pattern of osmoregulation in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in minapadi. Stable SI and TSI levels at Minapadi do not fluctuate. This result suggests that the water quality is with lightly contaminated water, yet the TSI value indicates that the water is fertile and potable. The normal condition of fish in minapadi indicates that the use of minapadi does not affect environmental conditions.

The mangrove forest on the coast of Tapak Tugurejo is one of the best mangrove forests in the city of Semarang which is inhabited by various species and has a high density. This mangrove forest is the main potential of coastal ecotourism in Tapak. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of Mangrove Ecotourism on the coast of the Tugurejo Tread, Semarang. The method used is to assess the carrying capacity. The carrying capacity of Mangrove Tread Ecotourism is 668 people per day. This value is greater than the actual value of the number of tourists 136 people per day. Thus, the number of tourists who are expected to be able to travel in the Tugurejo Mangrove without causing disturbance to the ecosystem of the conservation area is a maximum of 668 people per day. Because the maximum number of visits in the Tugurejo Mangrove ecotourism area is 136 visitors.

Pontang District located in Banten Bay has the potential for the development of shrimp farming. One of the challenges of shrimp farming is a disease caused by Vibrio bacterial. One way to control disease is to apply the principle of biosecurity to support sustainable aquaculture. In some cases, the Vibrio bacterial group is known to have caused serious illness in shrimp ponds. This paper reviews some of the literature on the concept of biosecurity in controlling disease for sustainable aquaculture that might be implemented in Pontang District. The role of local authorities is very important in the implementation of biosecurity. Disease control by farmers can be done by doing water management, good production processes and routine health monitoring.

Technology created to simplify human’s life. There amount of technology has been created. Current technology is the technology that used by humans from the past. Minapadi is technologies that has been created from the long time ago in agriculture and fisheries. Minapadi has existed in Indonesia since centuries ago. In past few years minapadi have become a trend in Indonesian article. This study literature conducted to study when minapadi become a trend and the urgency minapadi in Indonesia. Google scholar and Science Direct literature used in this literature study. This is to gather literature from Indonesian database, and for the comparison used literature from Science Direct. Minapadi used as keyword in Google Scholar, and in Science Direct used minapadi and "Rice Fish". In Indonesia there are an increase of minapadi article since 2016. It is dominated by economic study. Minapadi has the advantage of efficiency land for carbohydrate and protein production. Increase of number article minapadi shows an interest in minapadi. Meanwhile the growth of minapadi only increased by 48,083 hectares over 34 years. More research is needed to increase the use of minapadi, especially in the area adoption of technology, and environment for balancing the ecosystems.

Ciujung River is one of the important rivers in Banten Province and it is the main water supply for agriculture, industry and bathing. Due to extensive agricultural, urban, and industrial activities in the watershed of this ecosystem, some studies have assumed that the river is contaminated. But, there is no research related Ciujung River water quality with biological indicator and maping pollutant sources. The aim of this study is analyze : water quality of Ciujung River and influence of activities in Ciujung watershed to the water pollution in Ciujung River. Calculation Pollution Index (PI) and calculation chlorophyll-a abundance are adopted for water quality assessments. Water quality were analysed based on secondary data from BBWS C3 in January-May 2020. Chlorophyll-a abundance measured by Sentinel-2 imagery, water quality assessments result of each section presented in spasial data with GIS. Water quality map overlayed with land use map to indentify the influence of activities in Ciujung watershed to water pollution in Ciujung River. PI calculation results show that Ciujung River is moderately polluted, PI calculation result of each section is >5. Meanwhile, the abundance of chlorophyll-a can describe level of pollution in Ciujung River from biological parameters, the highest chlorophyll-a abundance is in Pamarayan (38,6) and the lowest chlorophyll-a abundance is in Jembatan Keong (18,6).

Previous studies indicated that coastal areas are vulnerable for mosquito-borne diseases. Socio-economic limitations and tidal flooding result in sanitation problems for coastal settlements. Mangrove ecosystems grow on tropical and subtropical coastal areas which can be mosquito breeding and resting places. This study aimed to explore the evidence of the contribution of mangrove ecosystem conditions to mosquito population through a literature review. Articles collection was done by using Scopus, SpringerLink and EBSCO databases. The inclusion criteria in selecting articles to be reviewed are publications in 2010-2020 and containing the words "mangrove" and "mosquito" in the tittle. The exclusion criteria were article in press status, review form (non-original research), retracted status, and the unrelated topics. It was obtained 6 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Evidence of the association between the dynamics of the mangrove ecosystem and mosquito density is inconsistent. Following future study is needed to confirm and clarify the results of this review, using methodologies and confounding controls that are appropriate both epidemiologically, spatially, and experimentally.

The availability of copepod Oithona similis as live food organism for shrimp and marine fish larvae is strongly influenced by the optimum feed and environment conditions. Optimization of dissolved oxygen (DO) for O. similis can be carried out by providing proper aeration in culture media. Feeding with fermented organic diet besides phytoplankton is expected to support the individual growth, metabolism, and reproduction of O. similis. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of different aeration flow rates on the growth performance and egg production of O. similis and to determine the optimum aeration flow rate. Wadaslintang Reservoir has potential as a source of raw water for drinking water. One indicator to determine water quality is to use coliform bacteria. The purpose of this study is to determine the water quality of the Wadaslintang Reservoir as a source of drinking water based on microbiological parameters by referring to Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82 of 2001 concerning water quality management and water pollution control. The water sampling method is based on purposive sampling at ten research stations for eight months, microbiological analysis using the Most Probable Number (MPN) method. The results showed that the status of the Wadaslintang Reservoir was polluted based on total coliform criteria. Utilization of reservoir water as raw water for drinking water needs to be done further processing to anticipate deterioration in health.

The Wailukum Mangrove Ecosystem requires a community based environmental management strategy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of mangrove roots and stems in medium tide zones, the dominance index of Teredo navalis L and environmental management strategies in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is a case study. The research location is divided into two points, namely in the North and South. Sampling using the line transect method. Root and stem samples were observed using the quadratic method. The results of this study found that there are three types of mangroves that live in the medium tide zone, namely Rhizophora mucronata (Lamk.) Rhizophora apiculata and Rhizophora stylosa Griff. Characteristics of roots and stems have gaps and brittle easily. The dominance index of Teredo navalis L on the roots and stems is in the low category with the index range 0.01-0.62. Strategies that need to be used for environmental management of mangroves in Wailukum, East Halmahera Regency, are to open employment opportunities for the community, organize socialization and training of silvofishery systems for workers, make regulations to control community-based mangrove use and monitor violations of mangrove management.

This research studied the food habits and trophic level of A. testudineus in a floodplain lake, Lake Semayang, East Kalimantan. The lake has characteristics of both swamp and lake habitats. The research was conducted from February 2017 until January 2018. During the study, 558 samples of Anabas testudineus were analyzed. The Index of Stomach Content (ISC) in the swamp habitats ranged from 4.32 - 39.59%, with an average of 19.35%, while in the lake habitat ranged from 3.68 - 38.46% with an average of 16.03%. Index of Preponderance (IP) value showed the dominant food item in the fish stomach is animal (62.58 - 79.66%), plants (25.18 - 42%), and undetectable food (≥ 5%). Based on the type and composition of the food, A. testudineus can be classified as omnivorous more inclined to carnivorous. The trophic level of this species changes along with increasing size length.

Collaboration in the management of mangrove areas is a role for every social element in an area government, community, and private parties. Co-management is an alternative solution in the form of management that integrates the roles and interests of everyone in the mangrove rehabilitation program. This study aims to analyze the role and level of influence of the interests of each actor in mangrove rehabilitation activities in Langkat Regency. The research method uses descriptive-qualitative, data collected from the results of questionnaires, interviews; field observations are processed in the form described in the description on the tabulation. From the results of this study, the form of co-management in mangrove rehabilitation is at a consultative stage where the government begins to consider local views in the decision-making process, the level of participation of each stakeholder in the low category, so this study recommends that the form of participation of each stakeholder can be increased through the form of regulations together, a program of sustainability and systematic distribution of work that is socialized to every implementer of the mangrove rehabilitation program in Langkat District.

Mangrove vegetation has a very complex function for human life now and in the future. Therefore protecting mangrove areas by preventing damage and reforesting in mangrove areas that have improved degradation must continue. The purpose of this study is to identify changes in mangrove areas for five years, as well as their impact. A literature review of previous research studies used to assess the impact of a decrease in the mangrove area, along with conservation strategies. The results showed that the degradation of mangroves for land conversion can result in decreased carbon stocks in sediments, changes in abiotic conditions in the media, a decrease in the number of fish catches, the occurrence of abrasion and a decrease infauna of the Mollusca group association. Integrated coastal management should pay attention to the sectoral dimension, dimensions of science and ecological dimensions.

Organophosphates have been used to eradicate pests and prevent losses from harvest failures caused by pest attack. It is undeniable that the organophosphate persist in soil. This study aims to identify the organophosphate residue and soil properties include pH, soil texture, and permeability. The soil samples were taken from cropland in 10 villages, Wanasari sub-district, Brebes, Indonesia. Organophosphate residue determined by gas chromatography using Flame Photometric Detector. Soil texture was determined by soil texture triangle from NRCS USDA, and the permeability value was determined by falling head method. The mean value of chlorpyrifos, profenofos, diazinon were 0.0078; 0.0388; 0.2271 mg/l respectively. The soil texture varies from clay, silt clay, loam, silt loam, and silt clay loam with permeability value at 10-7 with the soil pH value between 6.4 – 8.1. The results showed that organophosphate residues found in the soil and its potential affect the soil fertility decline. We recommend to conduct routine soil quality analysis to prevent soil damage in the agricultural environment.

Segara Anakan lagoon (SAL) is a dynamic estuary, downstream of several rivers in Citanduy watershed, humid tropical climate and influenced monsoon, conditions that cause waters to fluctuate. There are influence of natural and anthropogenic factors that impact on the increase of aquatic organic matter, as phytoplankton indicator biota able to show its tolerance characterized by fluctuation of chlorophyll content a. The purpose of this research is to know the spatio-temporal distribution of chlorophyll- a SAL region. The chlorophyll- a measurement method uses multitemporal landsat images and field measurements. The temporal approach (time series) during 2016 refers to the monsoon wind pattern and spatially on seven different stations of ecological characteristics. Data processing using ER Mapper 7.0 software and the preparation of thematic data with Arc GIS software. Testing data accuracy using regression analysis. The results of chlorophyll-a recording of landsat images ranged from 3,213 - 3,703 (mg / m3) and field measurements from 0.01 to 5.06 (mg / m3). Temporally transitional seasons and on spatial approaches, stations with anthropogenic characteristics have the highest chlorophyll content. The condition is supported by the accumulation of aquatic organic materials, high rainfall and upwelling phenomenon. Test of accuracy pertained high, shown with value of r = 0,94 at equation y = -30.07x2 + 217.0x - 387.0, R2 = 0.894 with regression characteristic is polynomial. The high accuracy value in the equation, shows that the SAL area algorithm can be applied to obtain chlorophyll content data in the field in the previous year with the support of satellite image data in that year.

Segara Anakan Lagoon (SAL), located along side of soutern coast on western part of Central Java 108°46'–109 ° 05'E; 7 ° 34'–7 ° 48'S. SAL is necessasrily ecosistem as nursery ground. This has been becoming important research relating to primary productivity. The existance of antropogenical activities around the area, is changing inrush input into lagoon. This is going to be worried about giving influences in physical, chemistry, and biological factors of the water and causing deflation in rate value of primer productivity. Rainy and dry season's variability with important impacts on the phytoplankton community structure, abundance and dynamics. Furthermore, the number of coastal ecosystems with identified eutrophication symptoms is increasing worldwide due to the increasing anthropogenic pressures. One of 1the first symptoms of eutrophication is enhanced phytoplankton biomass. Generally, Fitoplanton is important biological indicators in the process. However, high abundance of biomass phytoplankton could give harmful effect toward lagoon, they could produce toxic substances that will be accumulated, it can be endangering .The aim of the research is to determine and calculate potential species of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) in SAL with spastial and temporal approach. The spatial approach is done at seven different stations of ecological characteristics SAL, with representations: natural factors and the presence of anthropogenic activities. On the temporal approach (time series) for a year, it refers to the monsoon wind pattern, which are called season (western, the transitional season 1, eastern, and the transitional season 2).The results of laboratory tests are discussed descriptively. Phytoplankton sample were taken vertically using plankton nets, meshsize 25 μm. The result showed that SAL have been found and consisted of 82 species from 5 division phytoplankton: Chrysophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Pyrophyta, and Euglenophyta. 20 species from 9 genus were identified potential as HABs, with four genus of them were known having toxin and endangering for human (Nitzschia, Oscillatoria, Anabaena dan Protoperidinium).Whether, five genus do not produce toxins but giving deflation Oxygen of waters with anoxia condition (Chaetoceros, Coscinodiscus, Rhizosolenia, Thalassiosira, Thalassiotrix).The highest of HABS abundance is dominated during the transitional season II. On the spatial approach, antropoegenic characteristics station contribute to the whole height of HABs. Influence of rainfall, spatially, antropogenical pressure, and hydrodinamical watres causing enhancement of HABs potency.

Population increased has consequences for the economic development of land demands for agriculture, settlement and other infrastructure. This resulted the change of area land cover which impact on the climate change and decline the environmental quality. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the environment through the land rehabilitation activities. The analysis of land cover change is needed as the first step to identify areas targeted by the land rehabilitation. Geographic information system is used as a spatial based on the appropriate determination of rehabilitation activities

The commercial vessels activity have a big role to increase the flow of number of cargoes from a port to another port. However, the impact of these activities are the disposal of ballast water from port area to the destination port. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and heavy metal which were contained inside the ballast water of commercial vessel towards in waters of the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. The concentration of heavy metal either from commercial vessels or the waters in port area analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The result showed that the correlation of zooplankton and phytoplankton in the water ballast at commercial vessels have a medium correlation to zooplankton and phytoplankton in waters of Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang (PTES) were 48.9% and 58.3%. Correlation of heavy metal Cd, Zn, Cu, Zn and Pb in ballast water of commercial vessel toward each metal in waters of PTES area has a strong correlation in contribution were 76.7%, 75.6%, 71.4% and 73.8%. It showed us that the loading activity of commercial vessels in port are contributed towards the pollution in waters.

Jatibarang reservoir serves as water supply in dry season and controlling flood in Semarang City. This reservoir is stem Kreo River which cathment areas of 54 km2, pool of area 110 ha and volume is 20 billion m3. This reservoir is potential to develop as natural fisheries area. The goals of this research were to explore existing condition of physical, biological as well as chemical parameter; carrying capacity assessment for natural fisheries; determining appropriate fish species to be developed in Jatibarang reservoir. This research was done in descriptive explorative scheme. Field survey and laboratory analyses were conducted to identify physical, chemical and biological parameters of the water. Physical parameters measured were temperature and water brightness. Chemical parameters measured were pH, DO, phosphate, Ammonia, nitrites and nitrate, while biological parameter measured were chlorophyll-a concentration. Carrying capacity analyses was done referred to the Government Regulation Number 82, 2001 that regulate the management of water quality and water pollution control. Based on the research, it showed that the existing condition of physical, chemical and biological parameters were still good to be used for natural fisheries. Based on TSI index, it classified as eutrofic water. Furthermore, tilapia fish (Oreochromis mossambicus), nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) and carper fish (Cyprinus carpio) were considered as best species for natural fisheries in Jatibarang Reservoir.
