The article looks at the relationship between authors, printers, and booksellers/publishers in France during the early 16th century with emphasis given to the works of French poet and playwright Pierre Gringore published in Paris, France, from 1499 to 1518. The author examines traces of notes written by printers in the paratexts of Gringore's works in order to shed some light on those relations. The poet's collaboration with the printer Philippe Pigouchet and the bookseller and publisher Simon Vostre, Michel Le Noir's printing and correction of Gringore's work "Chasteau d'amours," and Gringore's relationship with printer and publisher Pierre Le Dru are discussed.
