Observation of a patient presenting 34 microfilariae in the anterior chamber of one eye, with negative biopsies, two small nodules and punctiform onchocercosis keratitis elementary microlesions. The patient has been observed five times during more than one hour each time. The author reviews the results of different surveys he has carried out in America and Africa, and which showed that the presence of microfilariae in the anterior chamber of the eye did not seem to forebode severe ocular lesions.

During an inquiry performed in Gaboon the prevalence of hydroceles had led to puncture systematically every vaginal flow. 68 fluids were so collected at the end of the inquiry. Subsequently the statistical analysis of the results in men seems to suggest a correlation between microfilaremia (Loa loa and D. perstans) and the prevalence of hydroceles. Microfilariae were found in 77% according to the following distribution: Loa loa seldom diagnosed in this kind of flow were detected in 10%; D. perstans although never reported so far in hydrocele fluids appeared to be present in 62%. O. volvulus more currently referred to in hydrocele liquids were scarcely traced.

Description of M. martini n. sp. (= M. nilotica El Bihari et al., 1977 sensu Bain et coll., 1985), a parasite of Arvicanthis niloticus from Mali. The natural host is Arvicanthis niloticus from Mali; the description is based on material from experimentally infected laboratory-bred rodents (holotype from A. niloticus; other specimens from Lemniscomys striatus). Like other related species the microfilariae of M. martini are said to be "skin dwelling" (in fact they are in cutaneous lymphatic vessels). The main characteristic feature of this new species is the localization of the adults in the lymphatic vessels of the colon.

330 birds of Tunisia were necropsied; they belong to 73 species among 29 families and 13 orders. We so collect 36 species of nematodes from 9 families. The relative importance of these is variable. The best represented are: Capillariidae (6 species), Spiruridae (6 species), Acuariidae (9 species) and Filariidae (6 species). The parasitism by nematodes is not uniform. Among the 330 birds autopsied only 51 were parasited by nematodes (15.45%) among 25 of the examined birds species (34.2%). Among these 25, sixteen (64%) presented only one species of parasitic nematode, six (24%) arboured two, (8%) three and only one, (partridges) presents six species of nematodes.
