Strong anti-binding platelets, aspirin is used in the treatment or the prevention of many thrombotic pathologies. We wanted to study the effect of aspirin over the bleeding time of a group of volunteers. It consisted of 16 volunteers aged from 20 to 25 years and having no haemorrhagic or thrombotic antecedent. For each of them, we have carried out a blood count by means of an automaton Sysmex K800, followed by a measure of the bleeding time (BT). Immediately after, each volunteer has ingested 250 mg of Aspegic; then, the BT has been measured every 24 hours and up to the fifth day. The BT has been carried out by means of IVY technique 3 points, that besides the time, allows to measure the volume of bleeding (microliter). All the check-ups were normal, however, the time and volumes of bleeding were respective by short and weak. After having taken aspirin, the bleeding time has significantly become longer to day 1 and day 2 (respectively 48% and 31.5% with regard to day 0) and the volume has increased to day 1, day 2 and day 3 (respectively 122.6%, 74.7% and 38.1% with regard to day 0).

The interpretation of biological exam results requires the knowledge of physiological variation factors and reference values for every parameter. Following the preparation and the diffusion by the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) of a new reference material for the dosage of plasmatic proteins (CRM470) and in order to take part in the international effort of standardization of these dosages, we established reference ranges in the tunisian population for 9 plasmatic proteins: the Immunoglobulines G, A and M, complement factors C3 and C4, albumin, transferrin, haptoglobin and the a 1-glycoprotéin acid. Our sample of 211 healthy blood donors aged between 18 and 63 years. Reference limits 0.95 that we obtained are located within variation of most reference values lately found in the literature.

From December 1994 to January 2002, 44 among the 47 patients proposed have been integrated in the protocol of programed autologous transfusion. 18 patients were belonged to the male sex and 26 others belonged to the female one. The average age was 53.2 years (range 15-82 years old). 39 among the patients admitted in the protocol had an orthopaedic pathology. The protocol has associated the teams of surgery, of anesthesia and of transfusion and has occurred in the respect of the regulation (circular 91/2000). The blood taking have led to a significant modification of the hemoglobin rate (average decrease of 2 g/100 ml), of hematocrit (average decrease of 6.1%) and of the rate of platelets (average increase of 29,324 platelets/mm3). On the other hand, a transfusional complement by the concentrated homologous red corpuscles was necessary for 2 patients (2/40).

From January 94 to December 99, we were looking for an anti-erythrocytary immunization at 2093 women followed up in obstetrical environment. As a whole, 2232 researches of antierythrocytary antibodies (RAI) were carried out, say 1.07 RAI/women. These RAI concerned, in 4 cases out of 5, some Rh- women having an Rh+ spouse. The results were positive among 78 women, say 3.73% and 71 women having an allo-immunization antibodies (Ab), say 3.39%. The specificity of the Ab is variable: 45 anti-D, 33 Ab other specialities (C, E, K, Fya, JKb, Lua,...) and 16 positive RAI which are difficult to interpret. Besides, the immunization of women according to the number of gestations shows an increasing rate ranging from 0.27%, for a gestation to 7.44% for 4 gestations or more. Finally, the prophylaxis of the allo-immunization to the antigen D, possible thanks to the immunoglobulins anti-D, was only active among 42.13% of Rh women having a Rh+ spouse.
