Between Cesar and Assurancetourix, between mythification, censorship and existence denial, what place does the author legitimately deserve ? During the 1960s, this question was a major concern for the comic strips creators themselves, at a time when they asserted their claims and rights. Throughout the paradoxical authors’characters, the comic strip series Asterix, during Goscinny’s lifetime, leads us along the quest for a non usurped identity for the author, in search of a speech social place that can defuse the narcissistic trap.
