Aimed at increasing aircraft’s leaving speed based on a determinate length of aircraft container and ensuring the aircraft’s acceleration below one certain value, a new gas multi-stage cylinder ejection is proposed in this paper, and at the same time the primary design and the interior ballistic evaluating are processed. The simulation results can be used for the design of gas-catapult device and provide theoretical support for parameter optimizations in trajector.

Fluorocarbon (FC) films were prepared on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plates and PET fabrics respectively by a radiofrequency (RF) magnetron sputtering technique using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a target. Scanning electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to investigate the morphology, structure and composition of the obtained FC films. The hydrophobicity and uvioresistant properties of the FC film coated fabric were studied. The results show that the FC films were successfully deposited on the PET substrates by a RF magnetron sputtering. The deposited films are made up of four components -CF3, -CF2-, CF- and -C-. The proportions of the four components and surface morphologies of the deposited films vary with the sputtering conditions. Compared with the original fabric samples, the hydrophobicity of the FC film coated fabrics is quite good and improved significantly.

Large-scale missiles are generally catapulted by the ejector. And a tail cover is used to protect the first stage rocket engine. When the missile reaches the predetermined height, the tail cover should be separated timely so that the engine can work properly. In this paper, a braked tail cover separation concept is proposed. And a new type of tail cover separation device is designed according to the concept. Firstly, the forces analysis and the internal ballistic simulation of ejection are conducted before setting working conditions. And then, the finite element software Abaqus is adopted to achieve the simulation of tail cover separation process. Through analyzing the obtained results, it’s concluded that the braked tail cover separation concept is feasible. Moreover, the influence of material changes on the braking effects is also studied.

This study investigated the efficacy of auricular therapy using semen vaccariae (SV) via auricular point sticking on weight loss, changes to waist circumference, and waist-to-hip ratio. The study used a randomized design with one control group and one experimental group consisting of young Asian women with waist circumferences ≥ 80 cm. The total sample size was 50 young women who ranged in age from 18 to 20 years-old. Each participant attended weekly ten-minute sessions during which auricular acupressure treatment was performed. During treatment, the control group had 0.5 cm2 adhesive tape placed onto their auricular acupoints, while the experimental group had the SV stick applied to the auricular acupoints. Dependent variables were collected at baseline and follow-up for four weeks. The control group showed significantly increased body weight (+0.08 kg, p ≤ 0.05) and waist circumference (+0.20 cm, p ≤ 0.05); however, the SV group showed significantly decreased body weight (-1.9120 kg, p ≤ 0.05), waist circumference (-4.9200 cm, p ≤ 0.05) and waist-to-hip ratio (-0.0297, p ≤ 0.05) during four weeks of treatment. Auricular acupressure with SV may be an efficacious option to include in weight loss programs for young women.
