The aim of this research is related to the influence of swimming on the development of motor abilities of students of younger school age, as well as defining the skills that are most developed under the influence of swimming. Differences in anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities between the two groups of students were analysed. One group consisted of students who, in addition to physical and health education classes, practice swimming (students/swimmers), and the second group consisted of students who do not engage in any additional organised physical activities (students). The sample of the respondents included 18 students, members of the Belgrade swimming club “Mornar” and 17 students of “Branko Radičević” primary school from Pančevo, all aged 10 years ± 6 months. In addition to basic anthropometry, an assessment of motor abilities was also carried out, with the help of the tests of strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination. This paper is based on the authors’ many years of experience in teaching, organizing special courses and one-day workshops for different groups of students, as well as IEEESTEC students’ project conferences. The manuscript contains a brief description and results of the implementation and evaluation of the special course “Let’s put knowledge into practical work” for grammar school students. In order to continue their study and provide students with additional knowledge, the Arduino course was designed. Since 2018, by attending the course as an extracurricular activity, students gain new knowledge in the field of electronic components and microcontroller programming. Based on the conducted analyzes and evaluations, as well as current pedagogical trends, the authors give recommendations on how to overcome problems that may arise due to a lack of practical knowledge and increase students’ self-confidence and indicate the importance of a course designed in this way for those freshmen who want to acquire some new skills and knowledge.

In the present manuscript, three different 4,7-dihydroxycoumarin derivatives were prepared and structurally characterized by crystallographic and spectroscopic techniques in combination with the B3LYP-D3BJ theoretical method. Cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities of investigated compounds were screened against different cell lines and microorganisms. HCT-116 cells were most sensitive to the 3-(1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)amino) ethylidene)-2,4-dioxochroman-7-yl acetate derivative, while the best antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633 was shown by 3-(1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)amino)ethylidene)-2,4-dioxochroman-7-yl acetate. The molecular docking study for all compounds with important epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) was performed. The results indicate that the largest contribution to the binding energy is through conventional hydrogen bonds.

The modern way of life, with its technical and technological advances, is increasingly alienating man from the real primordial value of nature and its laws. Spending time in nature has many positive effects in terms of health and hygiene, psycho-social well-being, sports and recreation, and education. The aim of this research was to determine the attitudes of teachers towards summer camps as a form of extra-curricular activities. The research included 62 primary school teachers from four primary schools on the territory of Belgrade. Non-experimental research was the applied method, and a survey designated for this purpose was the research technique. Based on the obtained results, we can conclude that a significant number of the respondents have organized some form of outdoor activity, but only 1% of the respondents have organized camping for their pupils. As many as 87% of teachers view camping as an activity that can greatly influence pupils’ physical and mental development, which is the practical value of this work. The results indicate the need for a systematic, organized stay in the nature as an extracurricular activity.

The aim of the conducted research was to determine scientifically, by applying experimental methods, whether an additional program of physical exercises, carried out under regular working conditions at preschool institutions, can result in significant changes in the morphological characteristics of preschool children, mean age 6.21 ± 0.56 years. A total of 64 preschool children, girls (n=28) and boys (n=36) attending preparatory preschool lessons in the preschool institution “Čukarica” in Belgrade were included in the research. The researchers used a pre-experimental draft survey, namely the draft involving one pretest-posttest group. The sample of the morphological measuring instruments was designed by applying a reduced theoretical model (Viskić, 1972; Kurelić et al., 1975). The experimental factor was realised over a period of 24 weeks, in 48 sessions, each lasting 35 minutes. The research results indicate that, in the final measurement, the differences between the sexes went in favour of boys in terms of the lower average values of the volume and body mass, subcutaneous adipose tissue on the back and body mass index. It was also determined that the additional kinesiology program of activities, regardless of the sex of pupils, had also given good results in terms of the reduction of the subcutaneous adipose tissue, as well as the volume and body mass of children. The authors believe that a regular program of physical education in preschool institutions is insufficient for the preparatory preschool group and that additional kinesiological activities give better results in the reduction of body mass and subcutaneous fat, especially if they are directed towards the development of biotic motor skills.

The paper deals with the distribution of conjunctive and prepositional comparative structures in Slovenian. They are introduced by the complementiser kot and the preposition od, respectively. Comparative structures are categorised along three dimensions: (i) the morphological environment of the comparative morpheme (yielding amount and quality comparatives); (ii) the syntactic environment of the comparative morpheme (eight syntactic environments are discussed: (nominative) subject, (accusative) direct object, (dative) indirect object, prepositional object, locative adverbial, temporal adverbial, some other adverbial, and predicate); (iii) the syntactic environment (the same environments as above are discussed) of the associate (the non-elided phrase in the comparative complement is the remnant; its counterpart with the same grammatical function in the matrix clause is the associate). The comparison of conjunctive and prepositional comparatives shows that the distribution of the latter is more restricted and also exhibits more inter-speaker variation than the former. Conjunctive comparatives are acceptable in virtually all combinations of the above-mentioned parameters, the only exception being quality comparatives withan adverbial or predicate associate where the comparative morpheme is embedded in the associate. The only absolute generalisation that can be made about prepositional comparatives is that the associate must be either a subject or a direct object; all other generalisations are merely tendencies.

Description of the subject. Red clover is an important forage legume and a rich source of high quality forage for livestock feed. This study assesses a diverse red clover collection for agronomic value, forage quality and antioxidant activity in relation to status (cultivar vs natural population) and ploidy level (diploid or tetraploid) for the purpose of diversity study and for identification of potential heterotic groups and classification of accessions according to the results of analyses. Objectives. The aims of this research were to: i) explore agronomic traits, forage quality, and antioxidant activity in relation to status and ploidy level; ii) assess trait associations and the possibility of indirect selection; iii) cluster red clover accessions with regard to forage quality and antioxidant activity. Method. Red clover was represented by 46 accessions, the cultivars and natural populations of diploid (2n) and tetraploid (4n) ploidy levels from 17 countries, which were collected and preserved in the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia. The following traits were determined from the two-year field trial at Rimski Šančevi, Serbia: plant height (PH), internodes number (IN), green mass yield (GMY), dry matter yield (DMY), crude protein (CP), acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), digestible dry matter (DDM), dry matter intake (DMI), relative feed value (RFV) and antioxidant activity. All accessions were characterized in the second cut of the second year of life when 20-25% of flowers appeared. Results. The cultivars had higher values for PH, IN, GMY, DMY, DDM, DMI, and RFV. The tetraploid accessions had higher values for IN, GMY, DMY, CP, NDF and DDM. The natural populations and diploid accessions had 39.9% and 21.9% smaller antioxidant capacity, respectively. The antioxidant capacity was positively associated with RFV, DDM, DMI, PH, IN, GMY and DMY, but negatively with ADF and NDF. Conclusions. The grouping of red clover accessions based on forage quality parameters and antioxidant activity was represented by five clusters. High-quality cultivars had a shorter length of internodes and a good leaf to stem ratio with a high leaf proportion.

U članku se na osnovu arhivske građe, memoara i literature analizira sudbina nasleđa ruske emigracije u Jugoslaviji (muzeja, biblioteka, arhiva, školskih i zdravstvenih ustanova, kao i grobnih kompleksa) u periodu od 1944. do 1945. godine – po prelasku Crvene armije granica predratne Jugoslavije, oslobodilačkih operacija i dolaska na vlast Komunističke partije Jugoslavije. Ukazuje se na nejednoznačnost odnosa prema nasleđu ruske emigracije i različitu praksu.

Рад представља анализу односа доминације и отпора у роману High Fidelity. Циљ рада јесте да идентификује елементе популарне културе у роману и на тај начин одреди природу могућих односа у патријархалном и капиталистичком друштву. Користећи Фискову теорију популарне културе (2001), посматраћемо ликове као представнике сила доминације и отпора. Мушки род и виша класа чине категорије које су доминантније у односу на подређене – женски род и нижу класу. Такође, протагониста Роб је прототип мушкарца који је подређен сам себи, тачније својој представи о идеалном мушкарцу. Подређени пружају отпор на различите начине. Лора је успешна пословна жена која поседује снагу карактера, што је ставља у бољи положај од оног у ком се налази Роб. Један од начина како он изражава свој отпор јесте бављење музиком. Као представник ниже класе (односно сиромашног приватног предузетника), протагониста се супротставља вишој (богатијим предузетницима) поседовањем моралних принципа који њима неретко недостају.

This paper presents recent, numerical and experimental, developments in modelling dynamic loading generated by humans. As modern structures with exposure to human-induced loading, such as footbridges, building floors and grandstands, are becoming ever lighter and more slender, they are increasingly susceptible to vibration under human-induced dynamic excitation, such as walking, jumping, running and bobbing, and their vibration serviceability assessment is often a deciding factor in the design process. While simplified modelling of the human using a harmonic force was sufficient for assessment of vibration performance of more robust structures a few decades ago, the higher fidelity models are required in the contemporary design. These models are expected not only to describe both temporal and spectral features of the force signal more accurately, but also to capture the influence, psychological and physiological, of human-structure and human-human interaction mechanisms on the human kinematics, and consequently on the force generated and the resulting vibration response. Significant advances have been made in both the research studies and design guidance. This paper reports the key developments and identifies the scope for further research.
