This research is the outcome of a montage intertwining contemporary art, film, and advertisement images with philosophical theory, following the direction set by two aesthetic figures that have traditionally been related to the notion of image, namely the mirror and the veil.What emerges is an unprecedented aesthetic figure, i. e., the prismatic veil, which, bouncing between the mirror and the veil, brings along an anti-dualistic interpretation of the world of the visible inspired by the Merleau-Pontian notion of flesh understood as a differential fabric in which things and beings only give themselves as differences with respect to all other things and beings.In the prismatic veil, the flesh is filtered through the Deleuzian notion of « crystal-image », and hence enriched with a faceted and multiple temporality that echoes Deleuze’s own reading of Nietzsche’s eternal return, and hence characterising it with a fundamental libidinal approach, which, in this study, is analysed with a particular emphasis on Lacan.By reacting to the Merleau-Pontian notion of flesh and to the mythical temporality that Merleau-Ponty himself associates to it, the temporality of the crystal-image makes the figure of the prismatic veil emerge as a sort of « flesh 2.0 », hence realising a contemporary theoretical tool aiming at favouring the understanding of the increasingly immersive and enveloping features of the present experience of images, including the implications that such an experience implies as for the identity of the viewer and for the perception of truth that is bond to his/her/their gaze. All this, without forgetting the aspect of seduction that characterises the visual universe, and hence confirming the intimate connection that intertwines images and desire.; Cette recherche est le résultat d’un montage d’images issues de l’art contemporain, du cinéma et de la publicité avec des théories philosophiques, suivant le fil rouge déroulé par deux figures esthétiques qui ont traditionnellement été liées à la notion d’image : le miroir et le voile.Il en émerge une figure esthétique inédite : le voile prismatique. À cheval entre miroir et voile, le voile prismatique entraîne une lecture anti-dualiste du monde du visible inspirée de la chair merleau-pontienne entendue comme tissu différentiel dans lequel chaque chose et chaque être ne se donnent que comme différences par rapport aux autres choses et aux autres êtres.Dans le voile prismatique, la notion de chair est filtrée à travers celle, deleuzienne, d’« image-cristal », et ainsi enrichie d’une temporalité facettée et multiple faisant écho à la lecture de l’éternel retour de Nietzsche selon Deleuze et lui donnant par là une fondamentale tonalité libidinale, qui dans cette étude est analysée avec une référence particulière à Lacan.La temporalité de l’image-cristal, réagissant avec la notion merleau-pontienne de chair et avec la temporalité mythique que Merleau-Ponty lui associe, fait surgir la figure du voile prismatique comme une sorte de « chair 2.0 », réalisant ainsi un outil théorique contemporain, en mesure d’aider à la compréhension du caractère toujours plus immersif et enveloppant de l’expérience actuelle des images, y compris les implications que celle-ci comporte au niveau de l’identité de celui qui regarde et de la perception de la vérité liée à son regard. Cela, sans jamais oublier l’aspect de séduction qui caractérise l’univers visuel, ainsi confirmant le lien intime qui entrelace images et désir.

National audience; Research advances in the field of neurobiology imply that neural networks are becoming larger and more complex. However, this complexity increases the computation time of the model simulations and therefore the speed and the memory used by software. During this internship we choose to model neural networks as LI\&F models (Leaky Integrate and Fire) represented by Markov chains with PRISM, a probabilistic model checker. With this software, we have the possibility to include probability in spike emission in our models according to a sigmoid curve. After having implemented several network models containing different numbers of neurons, we test several properties encoded in PCTL (Probabilistic Computation Tree Logic). We established the pseudo-code of a reduction algorithm which takes as input a network and a property and gives as output a reduced network. This algorithm removes the "wall" neurons that block the transmission of the membrane potential and those whose suppression does not affect the output neurons or the topology of the network. The reduced networks obtained have a significantly lower complexity.

We are interested in analyzing the performability requirements of mobile communication systems by using model checking techniques. We model these systems using a high-level formalism derived from the π-calculus, for considering stochastic, timed, deterministic or indeterministic behaviors. However, in the π-calculus, the basic communication primitive of systems is the synchronous point-to-point communication. However, mobile systems that use wireless networks, mostly communicate by local broadcast. Therefore, we first define the broadcast communication into the π-calculus, to better model the systems we study. We propose to use probabilistic and stochastic versions of the algebra we have defined to allow performance studies. We define a temporal version to consider time in the models. But the lack of tools for analyzing properties of models specified with π-calculus is a major obstacle to our work and its objectives. The definition of translation rules into the PRISM language allows us to translate our models in low-level models which can support model checking, namely discrete time, or continuous time Markov chains, timed automata, or probabilistic timed automata. We chose the PRISM model checker because, in our best knowledge, in its latest version, it is the only tool that supports the low-level formalisms that we have previously cited, and thus, makes it possible to realize complete performability studies. This approach allows us to overcome the lack of model checkers for our models. Subsequently, we apply these theoretical concepts to analyse performability of mobile wireless sensor networks., Nous nous intéressons à l'analyse des exigences de performabilité des systèmes communicants mobiles par model checking. Nous modélisons ces systèmes à l'aide d'un formalisme de haut niveau issu du π-calcul, permettant de considérer des comportements stochastiques, temporels, déterministes, ou indéterministes. Cependant, dans le π-calcul, la primitive de communication de base des systèmes est la communication en point-à-point synchrone. Or, les systèmes mobiles, qui utilisent des réseaux sans fil, communiquent essentiellement par diffusion locale. C'est pourquoi, dans un premier temps, nous définissons la communication par diffusion dans le π-calcul, afin de mieux modéliser les systèmes que nous étudions. Nous proposons d'utiliser des versions probabilistes et stochastiques de l'algèbre que nous avons défini, pour permettre des études de performance. Nous en définissons une version temporelle permettant de considérer le temps dans les modèles. Mais l'absence d'outils d'analyse des propriétés sur des modèles spécifiés en une algèbre issue du π-calcul est un obstacle majeur à notre travail. La définition de règles de traduction en langage PRISM, nous permet de traduire nos modèles, en modèles de bas niveau supports du model checking, à savoir des chaînes de Markov à temps discret, à temps continu, des automates temporisés, ou des automates temporisés probabilistes. Nous avons choisi l'outil PRISM car, à notre connaissance, dans sa dernière version, il est le seul outil à supporter les formalismes de bas niveau que nous venons de citer, et ainsi il permet de réaliser des études de performabilité complètes. Cette façon de procéder nous permet de pallier à l'absence d'outils d'analyse pour nos modèles. Par la suite, nous appliquons ces concepts théoriques aux réseaux de capteurs sans fil mobiles.

When the retinal images are dissociated, vertical heterophoria (VH) is the latent vertical misalignment of the eyes reduced via binocular vision mechanisms, and vertical orthophoria (VO) when there is no misalignment. Postural control in quiet upright stance requires the central integration of visual, vestibular and somesthetic inputs. The central nervous system performs appropriate coordinate transformations of these inputs and permanently generates muscular response adapted. Clinical observations reported a link between vertical phoria, chronic pain and qualitative balance test. Indeed, in patients with chronic pain (in the absence of neuropathy, rheumatism or repetitive strain injury) associated with VH, a specific proprioceptive physiotherapy acting on a certain part of the body (oropharynx, temporomandibular joint and/or pelvis) most of the time restored VO immediately, diminished pain, and normalized behaviour in the balance tests originally intended. The present thesis tests these clinical observations on postural stability during quiet upright stance while subjects fixate a target at either 40 or 200 cm. The first study shows that a VH experimentally induced in healthy young adult subjects by the insertion of a 2-diopter vertical prism (approximately one degree) influences postural stability, improving or principally impairing it, depending on the eye wearing the prism (i.e dominant or non-dominant) and the distance of the fixated target. We suggested that these effects could be due to the quality of the oculomotor response. The second study examines effects of ocular dominance on the vertical vergence induced by a same prism during standing. It shows that vertical vergence is stronger and excessive relative to the required value when the prism is on the non-dominant eye whatever distance, but more appropriate when the prism was on the dominant eye. The results suggest that sensory disparity process and vertical vergence responses are modulated by eye dominance. The third study deals with the quality of postural performance in healthy young adults with natural VH or with VO. Clearly, the subjects with VH are less stable. An additional study shows that the cancellation of VH with a prism improves postural stability. The fourth study tests postural performance in chronic back pain subjects with VH, compared to a control group. Painful subjects are less stable, and the cancellation of their VH by an appropriate prism enhances their postural stability. Thus, we speculate that VH, even when small in size, indicates a perturbation of the somesthetic cues required in the sensorimotor loops involved in postural control via the afferences and efferences from the cerebellum and its role of calibration. Vertical phoria could perhaps indicate the capacity of the central nervous system to integrate these cues optimally. It is known that sensorimotor conflict can induce pain and modify sensory perception in some healthy subjects; maybe non specific chronic back pain results from such prolonged conflict in which VH could be a sign, with new theoretical and clinical implications., En dissociant les images rétiniennes, une orthophorie et une hétérophorie verticales (OV et HV) correspondent respectivement à l'absence ou la présence d'une déviation de l'axe visuel verticalement, déviation annulée en vision binoculaire. Pour maintenir le corps en équilibre en position debout orthostatique, le SNC doit réaliser les transformations appropriées et coordonnées des informations visuelles, vestibulaires et somesthésiques, et générer en permanence les réponses musculaires adaptées. Des observations cliniques ont rapporté l'existence d'un lien entre phories verticales, douleurs chroniques et qualité du contrôle postural. Ce travail de thèse s'attache à tester ces observations cliniques sur la stabilité posturale orthostatique. La 1ère étude montre qu'une HV expérimentalement induite par un prisme vertical d'environ un degré, chez l'adulte jeune en bonne santé, influence la stabilité posturale, l'améliorant ou principalement la détériorant, dépendant de l'œil impliqué (i.e dominant ou non-dominant) et de la distance de fixation d'une cible. Nous suggérons que cet effet puisse être le fait de la qualité de la réponse oculomotrice. La 2e étude étudie l'effet de la dominance oculaire sur le mouvement de vergence verticale induit par ce même prisme lors de la station debout. Elle montre que les mouvements sont plus importants et excessifs par rapport à la déviation induite d'un degré lorsque le prisme est placé devant l'œil non-dominant quelle que soit la distance, et plus appropriés lorsque le prisme est placé devant l'œil dominant. Ces résultats suggèrent que les processus sensoriels, liés à la disparité induite et les réponses oculomotrices de vergence verticale, soient modulés par la dominance oculaire. La 3e étude investigue le comportement postural en termes de stabilité, toujours chez l'adulte jeune en bonne santé, selon la présence ou non d'une HV. Clairement, les sujets avec une HV sont moins stables. Une étude complémentaire montre qu'en annulant l'HV à l'aide d'un prisme approprié, la stabilité posturale est significativement améliorée. Une 4e étude traite de l'équilibre postural chez de jeunes adultes présentant des rachialgies chroniques non spécifiques associées à une HV, comparé à celui d'un groupe contrôle. Les sujets douloureux sont moins stables, et l'annulation de leurs HV par un prisme approprié renforce leur stabilité. Ainsi, l'HV, même minime, pourrait indiquer une perturbation au niveau d'informations somesthésiques impliquées dans les boucles sensorimotrices requises dans le contrôle postural via les afférences et efférences du cervelet et son rôle de calibration, les phories verticales indiqueraient alors la capacité du SNC à les intégrer de façon optimale. Il est connu que des conflits sensorimoteurs expérimentaux puissent induire des douleurs et modifier la perception sensorielle chez des sujets sains. Peut-être que des rachialgies chroniques non spécifiques résultent de tels conflits prolongés dont l'HV pourrait être un signe, ouvrant de nouvelles perspectives théoriques et cliniques.

We present a new method for locking the frequency of a laser on the fringe of a reference resonator. Part of the laser beam is frequency shifted by means of an acousto-optic modulator. The direct and shifted beams are perpendicularly polarized and enter the resonator. The two transmitted beams are separately detected using a Glan prism. When the amount of the frequency shift is adjusted to a value close to the distance between two adjacent Fabry-Perot modes, the difference between the two detected signals provides an error signal having the shape of the Airy's function derivative. This results is obtained without any frequency modulation or lock-in detection. This method has been tested to lock a commercial Ar + laser to a high finesse F.P. At the same time, we experimentally demonstrate the interest of conditionally stable high order servo loops for laser frequency stabilization Stabilisation sur le pic de transmission d'un resonateur Fabry-Perot.
