The author reports 123 cases of penile cancer, with a follow up of fifteen years, and an incidence of 38.2% in North East Argentina. He considers the clinical and diagnostic aspects, and proposes a classification with an eye to suitable treatment, based on detailed results. He stresses the need for early diagnosis, and the importance of preventive treatment. This article does not claim to be an exhaustive study of this pathology, but it does recount the author's personal experience, based on exhaustive and detailed analysis of a large number of cases which highlight the frequency of this type of neoplasia in North Eastern Argentina, and which give rise to a considerable scientific concern. Since 1968, he has examined and treated 123 cases of penile cancer. This experience has provided an interesting series of statistics concerning diagnosis, management, prognosis and prophylaxis.
