The aim of this paper is to prove the existence and stability of solutions of a system of quadratic integral equations in the Banach algebra of continuous and bounded functions on unbounded rectangle. The main tool used in our considerations is the multiple fixed point theorem which is a consequence of Darbo’s fixed point theorem and the technique associated with measures of noncompactness. We also present an illustrative example.

In this paper, we introduce multi-Jensen-cubic mappings and unify the system of functional equations defining the multi-Jensen-cubic mapping to a single equation. Applying a fixed point theorem, we establish the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of multi-Jensen-cubic mappings. As a known outcome, we show that every approximate multi-Jensen-cubic mapping can be multi-Jensen-cubic.

In this paper we study existence and uniqueness of solutions for a coupled system consisting of fractional differential equations of Caputo type, subject to Riemann–Liouville fractional integral boundary conditions. The uniqueness of solutions is established by Banach contraction principle, while the existence of solutions is derived by Leray–Schauder’s alternative. We also study the Hyers–Ulam stability of mentioned system. At the end, examples are also presented which illustrate our results.

In this paper, we define a new subclass of bi-univalent functions involving a Hohlov operator in the open unit disk. For functions belonging to this class, we obtain estimates on the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients |a 2 | and |a 3 |.

This paper deals with the application of thermochemical Lagrangian MDF (mass density function) methods for compressible sub- and supersonic RANS (Reynolds Averaged NavierStokes) simulations. A new approach to treat molecular transport is presented. This technique on the one hand ensures numerical stability of the particle solver in laminar regions of the flow field (e.g. in the viscous sublayer) and on the other hand takes differential diffusion into account. It is shown in a detailed analysis, that the new method correctly predicts first and second-order moments on the basis of conventional modeling approaches. Moreover, a number of challenges for MDF particle methods in high speed flows is discussed, e.g. high cell aspect ratio grids close to solid walls, wall heat transfer, shock resolution, and problems from statistical noise which may cause artificial shock systems in supersonic flows. A Mach 2 supersonic mixing channel with multiple shock reflection and a model rocket combustor simulation demonstrate the eligibility of this technique to practical applications. Both test cases are simulated successfully for the first time with a hybrid finite-volume (FV)/Lagrangian particle solver (PS).

This paper proposes a new algorithm, which uses the second order information of a Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) to achieve an active sensing approach driven by minimizing the entropy of sparse unknown environments, for the multi agent case. For this, a signal model, which restricts the agent's measurements according to its sensor's view, is introduced into the Distributed LASSO (DLASSO) framework. With the help of Compressed Sensing (CS), the DLASSO is able to estimate the environment with less measurements. After the DLASSO converged to a solution, each agent evaluates the proposed algorithm for choosing new measurement locations.
