The article describes the mosaic gourami (Trichopodus leerii), also known as the pearl gourami, which is native to Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra and Borneo). The fish is a popular aquarium fish due to its attractive appearance. It is recommended to use at least 200 liters of water and dense vegetation for keeping them. The fish do not like strong currents and can obtain atmospheric oxygen. Reproduction occurs through the male building a foam nest into which the female lays her eggs. The fry are fed with infusoria and Artemia nauplii. Breeding requires a separate breeding aquarium. [Extracted from the article]
