The rise of information technology offers new possibilities in terms of observation, interaction and analysis of spatial data. Using public spatial data on the Grand Lyon metropolitan area, we have developed a new service based on the web site webarmature.fr. This platform makes it possible to visualize, compare and quantify landcover dynamics in the Grand Lyon territory. All the data presented on the site are public or have been generated by the ARMATURE research project (LabEx Intelligences des Mondes Urbains (IMU), Université de Lyon (UDL)). This platform was designed to be reproduced or adapted for other French territories.

Aminopeptidase- and amidase-based methods for the production of enantiomerically pure amino acids, intermediates for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, are discussed. Furthermore, enzymatic syntheses of the dipeptide sweetener aspartame and semisynthetic antibiotics (such as ampicillin, amoxicillin, cephalexin, and cefadroxil) are highlighted.
