Resumo: O artigo trata de recuperar os argumentos de Herbert Marcuse e Roberto Schwarz no que se refere à análise que os autores fazem sobre determinados grupos de teatro e tendências artísticas relacionadas. No caso de Marcuse, nosso foco recai sobre sua análise da chamada living art e do grupo Living Theater, com comentários breves sobre Antonin Artaud; por sua vez, no caso de Roberto Schwarz, recuperamos seu texto “Cultura e Política, 1964-1969” e sua análise sobre o Teatro Oficina, com algumas passagens sobre o Teatro de Arena. Aproveitamos a relação, ainda que curta, entre os grupos Living Theater e o Teatro Oficina, bem como o material e momento histórico-culturais compartilhados pelos grupos, como base para indicar aproximações também entre as leituras e as críticas de Marcuse e Schwarz direcionadas aos respectivos projetos artísticos.

El presente trabajo explora las complejas redes comerciales que operaban en el Mediterráneo helenístico-romano y que se articulaban específicamente a través de las élites económicas. Uno de estos tejidos conectaba a la aristocracia romana con su contraparte cartaginesa. Tal fenómeno puede observarse tanto en el desarrollo histórico de las relaciones entre ambos estados como en la aparición de vínculos individuales entre componentes de estos grupos sociales. El estudio postula que estas relaciones pudieron generarse a partir de los contactos diplomáticos forjados a raíz de los foedera entre Roma y Cartago, el primero de ellos sellado en 509 a.C. La hospitalidad pública inherente a este contexto habría sentado las bases de los pactos de hospitia privata entre determinadas familias, que permanecían vigentes en época de las guerras púnicas.

The Chilean educational system, which is considered an emblem of neoliberal public policies, was subjected to a profound legal refom in 2014. The moderate left-wing government passed the «Ley de Inclusión» bill, which seeked avoiding the selection of students, the charging of copay upon families in publicly financed schools, and ending the possibility that private schools, which received public financing, could seek profit. During the discussion of this bill, a set of educative, political and social actors articulated and mobilized looking to stop this. The purpose of this paper is to identify and describe the argumentative twists present in the discursive community that opposed the «Ley de Inclusión» bill. The corpus used consists of 139 opinion columns, published in «El Mercurio» and «La Tercera», the two main political media papers between March of 2014 and January of 2015. From an analysis ot these argumentative twists, a discursive coalition was built. The beliefs and representations of the educational community condense on: the need for a gradualist and evidence-based public policy; the free choice of schools as the dominant rationality and tool in the educational quasi-market; and the defense of private education as a means to ensure the existence of differentiated and plural educational offers in the educational system.

O objetivo deste artigo é retornar ao acervo histórico do constitucionalismo moderno para pensar as relações entre república, violência e emoção. O momento revolucionário francês é retomado, a partir de uma pesquisa teórica de caráter genealógico, por localizar no centro da vida republicana a necessidade de uma economia afetiva, isto é, de uma organização das paixões. A hipótese aqui testada é a de que o destino de toda república, enquanto projeto comum de superação das relações típicas do Antigo Regime, depende não apenas de direitos fundamentais e de limitação de poderes, senão também daquilo que os revolucionários conheciam como institucionalização de afecções recíprocas.

Some ethnic groups, as the Roma, are thought to have different healthcare seeking behaviour. This paper aims to provide findings on the attitudes, preferences, expectations and concerns of a Roma ethnic group (Kalderash) regarding inpatient hospitalization. The findings focus on a series of data analysed from semi-structured interviews with 23 Kalderash patients and caregivers from Zanea community (county of Iasi, north-eastern part of Romania). Kalderash people have negative attitudes towards hospitalization and report significant anxieties. The findings reveal specificities related to patients’ ethnic background, cultural views and communication barriers. For their part, Roma are often suspicious of non-Roma people and institutions. Roma ideas about hospital are closely related to notions of purity and impurity. These basic concepts affect everyday life during inpatient hospitalization, including the way Roma deal with eating and washing, physicians and treatments, or coping with illness and death. When they seek medical care, Roma often come into conflict with medical personnel who find their behaviour confusing and demanding. Roma’s cultural beliefs and attitudes underlie their behaviour when they are being confronted with a serious illness and are seeking inpatient medical care. Attention to cultural diversity does matter, as this should lead to different medical behavioural patterns.

We shall examine how Hobbes conceives the international relations as a scenario of permanent hostility, his contribution to the realist theory of international relations and the strategies for the attainment of peace or the maximization of benefits. We shall investigate the hobbesian equation between state of nature, international relations and state of war, the characteristics of the state of nature, the properties of foreign war and its causes, and the mechanism of balance of power. We shall also analyze the natural law, which is the law of nations, and the calculation to adhere to these laws. Finally, we shall do a general analysis of Hobbes's contribution to the theory of international relations.Examinaremos como Hobbes concebe as relações internacionais enquanto um cenário de permanente hostilidade, sua contribuição para a teoria realista das relações internacionais e as estratégias para a consecução da paz ou a maximização dos benefícios. Investigaremos a equação hobbesiana entre estado de natureza, relações internacionais e estado de guerra, as características do estado de guerra, as propriedades da guerra externa e suas causas e o mecanismo de balanço de poder. Analisaremos, também, a lei natural, que é a lei das nações, e o cálculo para aderir a essas leis. Por fim, faremos uma análise genérica da contribuição de Hobbes para a teoria das relações internacionais.

En la actualidad la financiación de las Instituciones de Educación Superior Públicas, IESP, es cada vez más limitado, tanto en países desarrollados, como en países en vías de desarrollo, por esa razón en la mayoría de los países se busca diversificar los ingresos de dichas instituciones. En este trabajo se presentan los modelos de financiación de IESP de un grupo de Estados Federados alemanes, lo que se hace siguiendo una clasificación de que permita agrupar a los mismos de acuerdo a las posiciones de determinadas variables. Los modelos de financiación de las IESP desarrollados son los de Berlín, Brandemburgo, Baden-Württemberg, Baja Sajonia, Bremen, Hamburgo, Hesse y Schleswig-Holstein. In the analysis of these dimensions is usually not considered, the technological factor that, however, is fundamental, both to achieve success in each area as to ensure the viability of sustainability. In this article we highlight the mainstreaming of this new dimension, will be discussed the risks and opportunities that science and technology assume for the rest of the dimensions and identified the lines where action is needed to ensure their contribution to the goal to reach a sustainability in all its aspects. In the end, it will be held the necessary discussion of the Transnational Law as a control element of the powers created in the current globalized environment.

Resumo À luz de perspectivas pós-modernas, o artigo procura analisar aspectos epistemológicos e metodológicos da investigação com histórias de vida de professoras(es), buscando compreender a natureza do conhecimento produzido a partir dessas pesquisas. Ressonantes com o paradigma apresentado para o estudo, apoia-se em diferentes teóricos com o propósito maior de problematizar do que de expor conclusões. Porém, entende-se, com base na análise realizada, que as pesquisas com histórias de vida não intentam descrever, explicar ou captar dada realidade, mas desvelar, suscitar questões educacionais que ajudem a apreender o sentido dos processos educativos vividos pelas(os) professoras(es) que narram suas experiências. Estas(es) docentes deixam de ser objetos para ser participantes, autoras(es) que (re)significam suas trajetórias ao longo do curso da investigação, oferecendo pistas que orientam repensar a Educação.

The present study evaluated the potential of fluorescence guidance of laser angioplasty without using a second laser for fluorescence excitation. A prototype spectroscopy system with a grating spectrograph, microchannel plate, CCD array and digital image processor on a personal computer was developed and coupled to a clinical XeCl excimer laser. Using multifibre catheters, specimens of human aorta were ablated in physiological saline and blood. The spectra thus generated were recorded and validated histologically. Five types of spectra could be differentiated. Based on a training set, classification algorithms were developed using multiple linear regression and linear discriminant analysis with intensity ratios as predictor variables. Discriminant analysis yielded prospective classification of the remaining validation spectra with high sensitivity and specificity for each type. These data demonstrate that fluorescence spectroscopy during excimer laser ablation at 308 nm does not require a diagnostic laser. Principal types of atherosclerotic lesions and the media can be differentiated spectroscopically in physiological saline and blood.

Reference is made to recommendation by the International Commission for Radiation Protection No. 26 on determination of the risk potentially caused by low-dosage ionising radiation. Calculations were made on that basis of the stochastic radiation risk for the general public.

In a group of patients with solitar kidney a radioisotope clearance was performed to determine exactly the renal functional status and to reduce the blind area of standard diagnostical parameters. In 41 percent of these patients a restriction of the glomerular or tubular value was found. In the same way the function-diminishing effect of hypertension on renal plasma flow and tubular-secretory function was determine. In the present study of dynamic radioisotope investigations in patients with solitar kidney could be verified.

The inflammatory activity of joints can be stated after intravenous administration of 99mTc-pertechnetate by demonstration of an enrichment of isotope. In 85 out of 111 patients (77%) a good accordance between profilogram and clinical finding could be seen. "False positive" results could be found in juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, reactive arthritis and juvenile gout. In some cases of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis the clinical finding is later obvious than the demonstration by nuclear medicine. "False negative" results mainly can be seen at the wrists of patients with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and tendosynovitis as well as in already existing radiological changes of the bones. Differential diagnostical evidences of profilography cannot be expected with the investigation technique used here. It, however, may contribute to assure the diagnosis in non-inflammatory joint diseases ("psychogenic rheumatism", lymphatic oedema).

The effect of the iodine not bound to the nuclear drug 131I hippurate on nuclear medical renal diagnosis by means of whole body clearance has been investigated. The results show that whatever clearance method is used, the tubular secretion performance decreases with increasing free iodine. This results in considerable error if the free iodine in the nuclear drug is not taken into account in the clearance calculation.

In experiment canine kidneys preserved in Collins' solution can be kept vital for 30 hours. Angiography after autotransplantation of these kidneys shows good circulation during the immediate postoperative period. Isotope nephrography reveals reversible damage of tubuli which disappears till the 28th day after operation. This procedure of preservation causes tubular damage but does not impair the parenchymatous blood supply. Tubular regeneration therefore is possible.

In order to establish the absorption of vitamin B12 in the human body at present several methods are used. When the retention of the whole body is measured nearly no restricting conditions are connected with the methodically exactest declaration. The retention of the whole body can be determined by means of simple measuring arrangements. Special attention is to be paid to the initial or reference value, the establishment of which often becomes problematically by the dynamics of metabolism. In the case of the study of the vitamin B12 metabolism by means of the measurement of the retention of the whole body the reference value should be determined at the earliest after 90 minutes; then the relative retention is to be measured after 4 days or later. The method is most agreeable to the patient and does not depend on the help of the patient.
