Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of new media in boosting the success of the teaching process in Algerian schools, as perceived by Tebessa's primary school teachers. To provide evidences, we used a descriptive method with a questionnaire as the main instrument to collect data from a sample of more than 50 teachers. The data analysis revealed three significant findings: the first is that Tebessa's teaching staff is still not trained to effectively use new media and computer software to improve teaching and learning processes. The second and third are related to the administration's unwillingness to support the use of new media to communicate with learners' fathers and teachers in order to contribute to the development of the teaching-learning process. Keywords: new media; primary school teacher; teaching process; Algerian school.

We report on the variation of electric power density linked to very low frequency (VLF) signal observed during the minimum of solar cycle 25. The detected VLF signal is emitted by the NWC radio station localized in the southern hemisphere, at 21.5∘ S and 114.2∘ E. We attempt in this work to quantify the beam as detected by the Electric Field Detector (EFD) instrument onboard CSES satellite. Geometrical key parameters have been considered to analysis the variation of the power density taking into consideration the distance between the satellite trajectory and the NWC station and its conjugate region. The beam behavior is found to be subject to significant disturbances in the conjugate region with the presence of signal modulations. Above the NWC transmitter station, the beam can be considered as a hollow cone but with irregularity dependence on the electric power density.

This article explores the relationship between Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and its influence on video game narratives. Video game sales have increased significantly since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The influence of Stoker’s Dracula and the narratives of vampire and pandemic video games is important, since some popular games are explicitly centred around pandemics and vampires, and are being played during the Covid-19 pandemic. The article explores the historical connection between epidemics and the vampire myth, and how that influenced the narrative of Dracula, especially the connection between the influence of cholera and his upbringing in Ireland. It then examines how the narrative has been influential in video game narratives. Finally, the article touches on how video games with pandemic themes may be used by a player to find a sense of control, explore difficult narratives in a structured environment, and explore various points of view and catharsis.

In this study, we report on the occurrence of solar Type III radio bursts recorded by radio and plasma wave experiment (RPWS) experiment onboard Cassini spacecraft. This instrument is designed to investigate the Saturn's plasma environment and sub-auroral radio missions. RPWS/Cassini experiment allows to measure electric field over a frequency range from 1 Hz to 16 MHz (Gurnett et al., 2004). The essential observed emission is associated to the Saturnian Kilometric Radiation (SKR) which is generated in the sub-auroral regions of the magnetosphere. The capability of this experiment leads to detect Solar Type III radio bursts recorded during the increase phase of the solar activity, i.e. January 2008 to December 2014. Hence we have found more than 300 Type III solar bursts when the distance of Cassini to the Sun was about 10 AU. Observational parameters like the time occurrence, the emission frequency and the relative intensity are considered in this analysis. Those features lead us to characterize the detection conditions and to estimate the occurrence variabilities of Type III bursts.

This paper traces Joyce’s linguistic techniques of void and gaps as he went about when writing Dubliners, and reveals what is implied in some of the stories and most importantly shows how through ellipses and fragments, his characters’ attempt to achieve decolonization. The main issue of explicit communication in colonial societies is replaced by such linguistic aspects where postcolonial writers like James Joyce tend to express their ideas of decolonization through the implicitness of language to deliver political messages. Hence, and in order to solve the problem of the explicit limitations of language, this paper attempts to reveal the covert messages of the stories by studying ellipses and fragments. While void and gaps portray negative connotations, the methodology used here to fill in the blanks of ellipses and fragments focuses on the information investigated, explored and then implemented by the reader to complete the unfinished thoughts and solve Joyce’s mysteries. Filling out ellipses are investigated mainly in the stories of “The Sisters” and “A Little Cloud” where characters are helped by the reader, who fills out these ellipses, to escape their colonial ordeals into a more hopeful world. Similarly, fragments show the characters’ struggle to achieve linguistic decolonization by completing the unfinished thoughts and utterances especially in the stories of “Eveline” and “Clay”. By analysing the discourse that takes place between the characters in these stories, the reader may reveal what has been left implied and will show how by filling out ellipses and completing fragments, characters may achieve decolonization. Additionally, the role of annexes in this article gives a more concrete proof of the use of ellipses and fragments as decolonial tools by presenting statistics of their usage in the stories and thoroughly analysing their implicit interpretations. Ultimately, findings will prove that those who struggle with the explicitness of censoredl anguage in politically disturbed environments will find other means to express their thoughts of freedom through the analysis of what language implies and not what is overtly expressed. Thus, the readers are allowed to reconstruct ellipses and fragments to come up with more comprehensible ideas of what is linguistically required to achieve decolonization.

This paper interrogates the generic status of Amos Oz’ A Tale of Love and Darkness, a « Family Memoir », in which the task of remembering and reconstructing the past, overcoming the silence and the childhood’s unsaid, is, at the same time, a way to remove it.

Nowadays Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a common concept in the world, and it is considered as a part of the culture of any organisation. Many banks in Jordan realise the importance of adopting CSR which helps in community building, sustainable development and increases productivity by presenting distinctive programs that support small and medium enterprises, and also it contributes to solving the problems of unemployment and poverty. In line with modernity, CSR is being seen as the source of new competition edge for the banking sectors specially the Islamic banks of Jordan. Practicing CSR is not only to improve community relations but also as a source of significance that Islamic banks can benefit from in Jordan. The purpose of this study is to provide deep understanding of the practices of CSR of Islamic banks in Jordan. The study has taken Jordan Islamic Bank as a case study to shed light on the contribution of the bank and its role in implementing CSR in several sectors. This study has found that the amount of contribution by Jordan Islamic banks to CSR activities is significant in proportion to their profit. The information disclosure has helped stakeholders to get an in-depth insight. Provide social contribution in these sectors and continue with renewable energy and water consumption programs. Furthermore, increased attention to sponsorship of scientific conferences and educational institutions are strongly recommended due to their positive impacts on the contribution of employees and other parties to the costs of employees' study. Also, encouragement for employees to participate in social activities and voluntary work are essential, similarly to continue funding in the health and education sectors. Training may provide help for the bank to raise their academic qualifications; in addition, it is a new added value for the bank, this is why the Jordan Islamic bank pays increasingly more attention to social and environmental issues.

Lyme borreliosis is the most prevalent and widespread vector-borne disease in temperate zones of the northern hemisphere. It has been considered as an emerging disease, since its recognition as a distinct clinical entity in 1977, and its incidence has increased rapidly during the past decades. In this paper, we briefly examine the emerging character of the disease, first by defining the notion of emergence which is too often ambiguous. From a strict epidemiological standpoint, it is almost impossible to generalize its emergence, especially considering the great variety of situations and contexts (geographical, biological, socio-economic). Presently, Lyme borreliosis seems to pose a new public health problem in heavily urbanized areas due to high population densities and a large number of people that visit urban forests. The hypothesis of an increase in contamination, which is work in progress, is very likely to appear in the Île-de-France region, especially around the forest of Sénart. In order to anticipate potential disease outbreaks in infected areas, it is necessary to consider exposure and risk factors. The analysis of contacts between the itineraries that people adopt in forests and the spaces and environments considered to be “risky” constitutes a privileged avenue of study. Consequently, there is a need to study these spatial dynamics (and to model this kind of contact), as well as to study ways in which it is possible to minimize risk by modifying the landscape.
