The contemporary era is characterized by widespread digital transformation and the advancement of data science in both public and private sectors. Scientific research is also undergoing a digital revolution in its processes, practices, and in building networks and relationships within the scientific community. This transformation affects the biases produced and the strategies adopted to control and manage them. Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping environments, creating or dismantling relational spaces, and establishing new conditions for knowledge generation. Our contribution aims to critically explore impact of the algorithm's revolution in scientific research. This involves maintaining an open attitude towards understanding and evaluating how research practices are evolving due to digitalization, the primary ethical impacts on academic research, and the role of the researcher's subjectivity in adapting to the ongoing digital transition.
