L’obiettivo della ricerca è proporre una possibile strategia di sviluppo economico sostenibile del comune di Fiordimonte (MC), incardinata sulla valorizzazione a fini turistici delle risorse place e time specific, nell’ottica della resource-based theory. Nella prima parte il lavoro effettua una ricognizione dei contributi economico-manageriali sulla valorizzazione dei beni culturali e sul destination management, al fine di definire un framework teorico di riferimento da applicare al caso di studio. Successivamente, avvalendosi dell’analisi SWOT di Fiordimonte e del suo territorio, vengono individuati alcuni interventi funzionali all’avvio di un percorso di valorizzazione dello stock di capitale culturale, che assegnino un ruolo decisivo sia all’esplicitazione del potenziale informativo connesso al valore di testimonianza place e time specific, sia alla capacità dei vari attori locali responsabili innanzitutto dell’offerta culturale di stabilire efficaci forme di governance. The aim of this paper is to suggest a possible sustainable development plan for the territory of Fiordimonte (MC), focused on the touristic enhancement of its place and time specific assets, according to the resource-based theory. First, the work carries out a literature review on the management of cultural heritage and destination management, in order to build a theoretical framework to apply to the case study. Then, applying a SWOT analysis, the research identifies some interventions for the launching of a valorization process of Fiordimonte’s cultural heritage. The interventions assign a crucial role to the explanation of the place and time specific value of documentation and to the capability of the policy makers in charge of cultural heritage to establish an effective governance.

Il lavoro propone un primo inquadramento storico e archeologico delle dinamiche insediative nellʼarea di Fiungo, frazione situata lungo la valle del fiume Chienti e appartenente al comune di Camerino, dove si collocano sia il borgo omonimo, tuttora in vita, sia la più antica fortificazione, documentata fin dal pieno Medioevo e appartenente al sistema difensivo camerte dei Da Varano. La ricerca è supportata da fonti archeologiche e archivistiche dalle quali scaturisce una lettura diacronica del contesto. This paper reports on historical and archaeological data about the site of Fiungo (territory of Camerino), a village placed in the valley of the Chienti river. In this area lie a village and a castle, both part of the defensive system of the city of Camerino during the rule of the Da Varano family. The archaeological record and the documentary sources give a diachronic overview.

This article deals with the myth of queen Theodolinda, concentrating on the centuries between the Late Middle Ages and the Early Modem Era. During this period, the Lombard ruler - highly praised by pope Gregory the Great and Paul the Deacon - was regarded as an exemplary model of Christian virtues and political skills in a wide range of narrative texts. Making use of her exceptional qualities - so it was commonly believed -, she had managed to convert not only her husband(s), but also the fierce Lombard people. Far from being just a local or dynastic heroine, Theodolinda was thus portrayed as an ideal of feminine behaviour and, more generally, as a suitable moral guide in the face of the new religious and social challenges. The article presents an analysis on the Della Torre family, who dominated Milan in the XIII century. According to the author, although the actual origins of the lineage remains obscure, boasting its special connections with Valsassina, a valley North of Milan, was an effective means to enhance its power and influence.
