本稿は、中国の大学における入学者選抜をめぐる改革の具体的な内容と若干の特徴として、以下の点を明らかにした。1.大学志願者の増加の中で、入学させる学生を適正に選抜することが課題になっている。その課題に対応すべく、多くの大学は全国統一入学試験を主な選抜方法として用いている。2.社会的威信の高い大学への入学をめざす受験競争が激化している。その結果、特定の科目に偏った受験準備等の弊害が顕在化している。3.政府は事態に対処するため、高級中学の教育や大学の入学者選抜方法について、たびたび改革を行ってきた。高級中学段階では学業水準試験や生徒総合素質評価を、大学入学者選抜方法では推薦入学や自主学生募集などを、それぞれ導入した。4.重点大学は優秀学生選抜重視の観点から、大学入学者選抜を活用しており、政府の思惑とは必ずしも一致しない。一部の高級中学も同様であり、重点大学への進学実績向上のため受験指導を強化している。5.大学入学者選抜は、社会の指導層となる優秀学生の募集と、大学入学者増加への対応という一見矛盾する課題を抱える。政府や各大学は上記の改革により事態改善をめざしているが、多くの困難に直面している。, This paper aims to show the characteristics of university entranceexaminations in China. It is very important to identify students’talents or measure their special qualities, and most Chineseuniversities’ entrance examinations use the National Center Test forUniversity Admissions. Recently, entrance examinations that includeapplication recommendations (including self-recommendations) inorder to avoid excessive competition have been increasing in China.Major Chinese universities have their own entrance examinationsthat are contrary to the government policy.Further, the number of university entrance examinees is increasing.However, universities must select students carefully. Chineseuniversities’ entrance examinations are facing serious problems invarious aspects related to students, universities, and the government.This paper analyzes the current situation of university entranceexaminations in China.
