2009年4月より2016年12月までの期間に，琉球大学医学部附属病院にて頭頸部癌（口腔，咽頭，喉頭，その他）からの肺転移巣を切除した21症例27切除術を後方視的に検討した。全症例の肺転移巣切除後5年全生存率（overall survival: OS）は56.7％，生存期間中央値（median survival time: MST）は21か月と報告された文献における肺転移切除群と比較し良好な成績を得た。肺転移巣の腫瘍径≥2.0cmが有意な予後不良因子であった（p＝0.0157）。多変量解析では独立した予後不良因子は得られなかった。以上より2.0cmより小さい径の肺転移巣に対し，積極的な切除が予後改善に貢献する可能性が示唆された。今回の結果は悪性疾患の肺転移治療に関し，意義のある知見と考え，報告する。, We retrospectively evaluated 21 patients with resected lung metastases from head and neck cancers (oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, and others) in our department between April 2009 and December 2016. The 5-year overall survival after lung resection was 56.7％ and median survival time was 21 months, which was good compared with findings in the literature. Tumor size of lung metastatic lesion≥2.0cm was a significant prognostic factor (p＝0.0157). No independent prognostic factors were identified in multivariate analysis. Aggressive resection was suggested to contribute to prognosis, especially for pulmonary metastasis with diameter＜2.0cm. These findings may have wide implications for social medicine., 論文

2006年度～2008年度科学研究費補助金（基盤研究(Ｂ)）研究成果報告書, 研究概要：ドミニカ共和国（ド国）、タンザニア、中国で上部消化管疾患に関する健康調査を実施し、ヘリコバクター・ピロリ（H. pylori）感染および慢性萎縮性胃炎(CAG)に関与すると考えられる因子の疫学的検討を行った。すなわち、性・年齢、人種・民族、食習慣・食生活を含めた生活習慣、生活環境、並びに上部消化管疾患関連症状や既往歴、などがH. pylori感染およびCAGの罹患、並びにH. pylori菌の病原性に関与するCagA抗体保有の有無に及ぼす影響について検討した。

In our preceding experiment, four types of bicycle Brakes [A (short lever grasp)], B (push), C (rotation), D (normal lever grasp)] for children were examined for suitable handling of a bicycle brake, by measurement of brake reaction time and simple reaction time at static condition. In this experiment, we excepted C type which was found unsuitable for children in the preceding experiment and examined three types of bicycle brakes and four types of bicycle handles for suitable braking of a bicycle, by measurement of running speed, brake reaction time, force applied to the brake, sliding time after brake, brake force at running condition of a bicycle. Subjects were 12 boys and 9 girls aged 3 to 7. The results are as follows; 1. Brake reaction time at running condition was varied more widely than at static condition. Difference among types was not distinct. 2. At running condition, it was found difficult even for older children to handle both brakes simultaneously and showed a tendency to brake a right grip quicker than a left one. 3. The maximum force applied to pushed type (B) was less than lever grasp type (A and D). 4. Lever type was superior to pushed type in brake force. 5. Concerning brake efficiency, the bicycle weight should be considered, because brake reaction time and sliding time after brake increased in proportion to the total weight of a bicyclist and a bicycle. Furthermore, the children's bicycles have been too heavy for their body weight and it will be of greater importance to make a lighter bicycle.

Four types of bicycle brakes for children were examined for suitability, by measurement of brake reaction time and simple reaction time at static condition. 89 subjects (55 boys, 34 girls) aged 3 to 5, were divided into four different brake type groups: A (short lever grasp), B (push), C (rotation) and D (normal lever grasp). The results are as follows; 1. The brake reaction time in the A and D type for children, 3 and 4 years old, was superior to that in the C type, while no significant difference was found for the 5-year-olds. 2. The simple reaction time and brake reaction time decreased with age, especilly for 5-year-olds. 3. Sex differences in brake reaction time were recognized for children 5-year-olds. The boys group children was significantly (p < 0.005) superior to girls group at static and during pedaling conditions. From these results, it was suggested that the brake by rotation (C type) is unsuitable for 3 and 4 years old with respect to brake reaction time.

Problems of heat and mass transfer are investigated for laminar flow along submer­ged flat plate with a specified distribution of surface temperature and that of surface concentration. The analyses are performed of analogeous relation between heat and mass transfer on the assumption that the fore-mentioned distributions are expressed by power functions : respectively (t₀-t∞)=Mxᵐ and (w₀-w∞,)=Nxⁿ and are verified by experiments using a Naphtalene flat plate.
