Dyslipidemia accompanying metabolic syndrome(MetS) is characteristic of increases in serum triglyceride and small dense LDL particles and a decrease in HDL-cholesterol due to visceral fat accumulation and insulin resistance. An increase in LDL-cholesterol exists side-by-side with MetS. When we perform exercise and diet intervention in those with MetS, the aim of intervention is to reduce body weight.
