23. Construction of high-temperature battery using n-Si/β-FeSi2/CuZr(PO4)3

Abstract

熱から電気エネルギーを取り出す高温化学電池の作製を試みた。化学反応としてCu+/Cu2+の酸化還元反応を選択し高温銅イオン伝導体CuZr2(PO4)3を作製したところ、500℃から酸化還元反応を確認した。これをn-Si上に担持したβ-FeSi2と接合した結果、600℃で開放電圧0.65 V、短絡電流1.2 μAを得た。電池特性測定前後の正極側のXPS測定でCu+の増加がみられたため、この電池特性はCuの酸化還元反応により得られ、またこの反応にβ-FeSi2で生成した正孔の関与が示唆された。

Abstract

β-FeSi2はレアアースを含まない熱電材料として注目されている。しかし結晶性のよいβ-FeSi2作製法のほとんどは最終形態が粉体であり、他材料との界面接合の報告はわずかである。本研究では、放電プラズマ焼結法で作製されたβ-FeSi2に対し各種界面接合法をSi基板上で試み、その熱電特性を調べ、他スパッタリング法などで作製された薄膜様Β-FeSi2/Si界面との比較を行ったので報告する。, In recent years, β-FeSi2 has attracted much attention for its use in thermoelectric device which doesn't contain rare earth. In this study, β-FeSi2 obtained by SPS was assembled on Si substrate, thermoelectric property of β-FeSi2/Si was measured.
