Pancreatic arteriovenous malformation (PAVM) is very rare anomaly. It occurs most commonly in the pancreatic head portion and gastrointestinal bleeding is the most common symptom. The management of PAVM is rather complex, with complete treatment usually accomplished by a total extirpation of the affected organ or at least its involved portion. We report the clinical presentation and management of 64 year-old male patient with PAVM, which was developed in pancreatic tail portion with sudden abdominal pain. Pancreatic computed tomography and magnetic resonance cholangio-pancreatography were consistent with a vascular formation on pancreatic tail portion and simultaneously revealed with pseudocysts beside it. A subsequent superior mesenteric artery angiographic findings depicted PAVM on pancreatic tail portion. Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory disease of pancreas which could lead to a number of complications including pancreatic ascites and pseudocysts. When these complications are severe, the secondary changes in colon, peritoneum or mesentery can make it difficult to distinguish from peritoneal carcinomas. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis that was difficult to differentiate from peritoneal carcinoma. We performed a sequential procedure without peritoneal biopsy to exclude the possibility of peritoneal cancer, and we could diagnose pancreatic ascites and pseudocyst resulting from pancreatic injuries. L-asparaginase is an important component of antileukemic therapy in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The degree of L-asparaginase toxicity is variable. Several cases of L-asparaginase related pancreatitis have been reported in the literature. However, necrotizing pancreatitis in adult has not been reported yet. Herein, we present a case of necrotizing pancreatitis caused by L-asparaginase that was complicated by pancreatic duct leakage and pseudocyst formation, but successfully treated with percutaneous drainage and octreotide treatment. The occurrence of valporic acid (VPA)-induced pancreatitis is a rare condition, predominantly observed in adolescent. Also, the occurrence of VPA-associated with hemorrhagic pseudocyst is extremely rare. We report the case of a 54-year-old man who had been taking VPA for uncontrolled seizures. He was admitted to our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and diagnosed with acute on chronic pancreatitis. There were no other causes explaining pancreatitis, and it was thought to be due to VPA therapy. Despite of cessation of VPA, there was ongoing severe abdominal pain with fever. The patient underwent follow-up CT, which revealed a large loculated fluid collection that was observed with intra-cystic hemorrhage. After treatment with percutaneous catheter drainage, he was discharged with regression of the pancreatic pseudocyst. VPA-associated pancreatitis with hemorrhagic pseudocyst is rare but possible. Therefore, this possibility should be considered in the cause of hemorrhagic pseudocyst in a patient taking VPA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pancreatic panniculitis is an inflammation and necrosis of fat at distant foci in patients with pancreatic disorders, most frequently, pancreatitis and pancreatic carcinoma. Clinically, pancreatic panniculitis is manifested by painless or painful subcutaneous nodules on the legs, buttocks, or trunk. The usual sites are the distal parts of the lower extremities. To the best of our knowledge, there have not been many reports for the radiologic findings of pancreatic panniculitis. In this article, we report a case of pancreatic panniculitis, including radiologic findings of CT and ultrasonography. The patient was presented with painful subcutaneous nodules on the trunk, and had underlying acute pancreatitis and hemorrhagic pseudocysts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
