Gas generation from waste wood, using its partial combustion in a reactor, is a simple technology and a valuable tool for the business. High content of volatile species and oxygen in the feedstock produce high quality gas already at 750 °C, however, at the final stages of burnout, the char residue slows down the process. In this work, the best configuration of the temperature field in the range of 1100-1200 °C for the maximum CO production was found experimentally. Using the thermokinetic analysis of reactions, the amount of reaction products per unit time is predicted. The Arrhenius constants are determined for favorable reaction progress in ambient various mixed gases. It has been demonstrated that it is reasonable to enhance the initial gas combustion to CO2.
