Knowledge management is a complex process which begins with the early rise of idea and continues through the process of formalization and transfer. In early 1980s the rise of information technologies inspired notion that knowledge management will be solved by technological means. However, in particular fields such as social sciences knowledge management is closely related with subjective human factors. Therefore, knowledge management should be developed as integral processes with organization's knowledge, and learning organization. In article author rise problem that knowledge management issue is underestimated in social work field. Therefore, it is important to view knowledge management as integral part of significant processes such as professionalization. The article present conceptual analysis of knowledge management and discuss the significance of knowledge management in a context of social work professionalization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
